It’s cold. That’s the first thing Stiles notices when he comes to. Other sensations slowly filter in: the wetness of snow underneath him, the sound of wind and fire crackling. There’s flickering light breaking the darkness behind his eyelids, and at last he lifts them as consciousness fully returns.

The twisted metal remains of a plane scattered around bring it all back, and Stiles struggles upright, immediately regretting it when pain spikes its way through his head and body. Squinting up at the snow and starlight falling through branches, the memories come back quickly. A flight back to California after the intern program. Allison in the seat next to him. A storm causing the plane to get rerouted. The plane falling out of the sky among the strange green-and-purple lights--

The rush of remembered fear and adrenaline gets him moving, and just as quickly the pain from his leg drops him back into the snow with a cry. Hissing, all Stiles can do is look around at the debris, heart in his throat as he calls out for anyone else who might have survived.

Oh God. Please let Allison have survived...
