Remembering Jim Henson
The Greatest Puppeteer of all time
"no one's going to make you do anything you don't want to do," Maura said
Noah shook his head sadly. they... already have. they... will again. but this... i want to do it for me."
ㅡ the raven king (not aftg) chapter 16
first read here and there's something so violently human and heartbreaking with noah's character that resonates a lot with me. you can't just read him as the ghost friend and that's how great the character writing is in this series.
if you look at his death more metaphorically like a death-felt event or traumas that changed him, altered him, something that was stolen from him against his will, all his ghosty actions and thoughts are in fact the most human-like. how he sees and feel himself slowly decaying because he can't have back what was taken, how quiet he became, how he wants his friends to know that he was more before, how he needs his friends to live with a little energy, how afraid he is, how he stays away from mirrors, how he doesn't dream anymore but used to have the wildest living dreams and imagination, how he stopped being human when he stopped fulfilling his needs (eating, sleeping...) yet still wants things ㅡ he still wants to stay, to protect, to laugh, how he wishes he was listened to and how at times, darkness takes over him.
instead of inspiring death, i feel like his character is about life. idk if this post makes sense i cant stop yapping on this series tbh. i love him so much my babyyy.
Happy Birthday Noah Czerny!
RAVENSTOBER Day 8!
i messed up the tires and im so mad
Invertober day 9 - Flamboyant Cuttlefish!
I watched a video and and the stripes were like strobing and moving and the cuttlefish was maybe trying to scare the camera away.
But I'm a monster.
Thinking about Miguel again. Some people headcanon that after the whole Miles incident that he's disbanded from being leader and imprisoned. It's got me thinking he's probably expecting to be killed. I imagine this is not his first time being imprisoned. I headcanon that he's been captured a lot by Alchemax and when he's held there he's just basically treated like a feral animal. Which does nothing to help his self esteem.
Miguel canonically (in the comics at least) has a lot of internalized self hatred and sees himself as a freak of nature. I bet movie Miguel would always fear him becoming a "real monster" and hurting innocent people. Now that's happened and everyone now sees his true "nature " he thinks he's going to be executed. And Miguel is fine with that, he's not been very attached to living anyways. Would it even matter? It is not like he's human.
--------------------------------------------------
Come the time Peter b and other spider folk want to talk with him he's just lying there in the cell rubbing his jaw a lot. They start talking with him and everyone notices how submissive Miguel is acting? Maybe chill would be the more correct word but regardless it's quite creepy to them, being used to rage issues spider leader. It doesn't seem out of guilt or fear so they're just so confused. It's not really brought up until Miguel makes an off-handed comment about how he's surprised they haven't muzzled him. This immediately sets off alarm signals because what do you mean by that???
Now Miguel is the one confused because isn't it obvious? He then remembers oh yeah this is the first time he's been captured by these guys so they don't know the "basic procedure." The dude then casually explains how they should be keeping him. You know a iron muzzle, shock collar with power suppression, small gun proof glass dome with nothing in it, elephant darts to knock him out, maybe cattle prods if needed. As Miguel is talking everyone is just looking on at him in growing horror.
Peter b: Miguel were not muzzling you?!??!
Miguel: Oh.... So you're ripping out my fangs? Honestly didn't peg you as that sort of gu-
Peter b: WERE ALSO NOT DOING THAT!
Miguel: Really? Are you gagging me then or something?
Peter b: Miguel!
It's both very sad and hilarious at the same time. Poor dude it's just expecting the worst and honestly believes he deserves it.

I guess this is a reminder to everyone that I did write about Spiderverse in the past, more specifically dad Miguel content. I'm not going back to it, this was just a random thing I wanted to get out of my system.
