If no one noticed that im gonna be dissapointed.

so, a while ago @weirddkidd made a comic about Ren, called "Ren's story" "..or atleast what she remembers from it" and it's basically just a little comic about Ren, that doesn't seem to explain why she is there doing what she is doing.

but it implies a lot of things.

and now im gonna finally sit and analyze this comic, line by line.

-the title-

(yes that's important, i'll tell you why)

before we start, let's take a look at the title of the post because there's a interesting detail.

it's the phrase "...or atleast what she remembers from it." AND THIS EXPLAINS EVERYTHING. well not everything but you get what i mean-

this explains why we don't see how Ren ended up there and why.

she just doesn't remember much.

-the comic-

the story starts off by Ren just running away from something (?)

and apparently, she stops very suddently, almost as if she heard or saw something.

she seems hesitant, almost scared of turning to look behind. she holds the crystal tight in her hand.

but when she does, she looks terrified of whatever she saw.

Ren says "nononono" repeatedly, panicking.

AND THAT'S WHEN I NOTICED. You see the lightning? It's yellowish. Like fire. She saw something burning

and that's the detail i just hoped that atleast SOMEONE, at least one person, noticed.

but i swear, nobody said anything about it.

Ren then cries, and runs away. faster than before.

some time later, Ren is still running. and then she says a rather interesting line.

"i hope you're okay, mom.."

Ren has a mom. and look, i don't know much of her honestly.

but this comic is telling something.

notice how Ren was holding the crystal, shielding it? well Ren was "saving the crystal". this crystal is very important and powerful.

but mari never tries to explain to me, saying "we're still gonna get there.", as if she was fast at drawing or even writing 😒

and what about that fire we saw? well, the line "i hope you're okay, mom" rather implies that maybe Ren's house was literally burning and maybe her mom was there.

judging by how Ren closed her eyes, almost in denial, and just hoped that her mom was alright gives me the idea that she just couldn't believe at first that her mother was dead.

but gang, i have some good news to you. mari told me that she was gonna make some sort of remake of this comic, but a bit different.

so more lore, YEEEHAWWWW.

Villain AU: Ren

I wasn't kidding when i said Villain AU Ren was around the corner.

Honestly? The red accents looks very nice on her.

So like, in this AU she makes part of the foot clan.

Which, if you think about it, doesn't explain where the fuck her name came from.

The name Ren basically means "White Lotus", so if she no longer has any connection with The White Lotus i've talked about, then why Ren?

Meh, who cares.

ALSO, that means The Crystal isn't with her. Then where is The Crystal? Is The Crystal somewhere safe? What about her "Mother", the one who gave The Crystal to her? Is she with it? Does her mother even exist in this AU?

And Ren? How did she end up in the foot clan after all? Did shredder just... find her one day?

Many many questions.

Many of which i have no fucking answer, so don't even ask me.

I know Korra is from TLOK, but the idea of Ren being Korra maked so much sense to me that i had to draw it.

And i wasn't gonna do a ROTTMNT TLOK AU because i know i would lose my mind.
