How would you picture Felix with the fox miraculous. I've seen it a few times but I'm curious about how you would think he would interact with others and Trixx.
While not color coded for it, Fox is one of those miraculous that just seem to naturally click with Felix, especially as canon has confirmed that he's a magician who likes to do magic tricks, and that all comes down to being a skilled illusionist. And Fox is the miraculous of illusion.
Ignoring his very stupid choice and deal with Gabriel in the finale, initially he's set up as a very intelligent, cunning, manipulative, and deceitful character. He knows how to play people, how to anticipate their moves, he can have attention on him as required, and he knows how to deflect it for his own gain. He is a risk taker, but takes risks that he's confident that he can make, believing he has everything planned out before taking a reckless action. And he's got a natural curiosity as seen when he goes to explore what else Gabriel can have hidden away.
Just as everything about Marinette screams her matching with Bee, everything about Felix screams him matching with Fox. Everything that I think is needed for an ideal Fox, Felix checks off that list.
Being a quick-thinker, flexible, and adaptive
Being curious and a risk taker
Willing to have attention on you, but also know how to deflect it and step back
Knowing how to play people and manipulate them
And never needing to get aggressive to win, with wit and agility alone being enough to secure his success
He'd be a natural with the Fox miraculous and the ability to use illusions, the only thing limiting him is just the one illusion he'd be restricted too, but Marinette has shown how complex and elaborate Mirage can be, so Felix can work with that one illusion limit.
And with Trixx, working off Sapotis Trixx specifically; this would be an interesting human-kwami dynamic. The very little bit we see of Trixx gives out some vital details about this kwami:
Trixx has an eye for detail and able to quickly evaluate the human he's being presented, strengths and weakness.
Is manipulative and has a very skilled silver tongue, for when Alya is to return the miraculous, Trixx does sound like he's all for Alya keeping it and being a full time hero, only to mention her being trustworthy, making Alya think and realize she needs to return it and validate that trust.
Trixx is also a risk taker that is confident in that risk. If Alya wasn't listening closely to his words, she would just hear "Yes, keep the miraculous" and would have kept it, and that would have backfired on Trixx.
And by this small detail, this shows that Trixx stands for initial deals to be kept, that he is a kwami of his word; he's supposed to be for temporary use exclusively, he will secure that.
Sapotis wise, I don't see Trixx opposed to Felix's gremlin energy and his chaotic goals, but he will do what he can to manipulate/guide Felix for his own interest. And Felix set up as a very sharp character, he's the first out of all possible options that's going to catch onto Trixx manipulating him. And it's set up to be fascinating to see these two silver tongued, cunning, and sharp characters work off each other. And for the most part, I see them getting along and enjoying a game between them to try and outsmart the other.
The only thing I see being a strain is that Trixx stands for the chaotic greater good while Felix stands for his own priorities.
Otherwise, they are a natural made pair canon wise, with Felix really being the best option for Fox and bringing out it's full potential.
Also, nice bit of detail, in Sapotis, Trixx has a mannerism of putting his paws behind his back. And Felix, when introduced, is a character who likes to keep his hands behind his back. It's a curious mannerism that these two trickster characters both have a shared mannerism.
If you like miraculous that are on the nose matches and instant clicks, Fox Felix should definitely be on that list.
