“Rene, are you sure this is the man?” Felicity gripped her brother’s arm tightly as they neared a cage.

That was the only thing she could call it a cage. Though it held an adult man. His hair was long and unwashed. Well, the rest of him was probably unwashed too. He raged against his keepers, spiking Felicity’s anxiety.

“Yes,” Rene patted her hand gently.

Felicity shook her head. She couldn’t believe they were doing this but this terrifying man had the information they needed. Information pertaining to an item Rene had stolen from him. She wasn’t too sure they were actually going to get his cooperation but she might as well try.

“What the hell do you two want?” the man growled.

“Your assistance,” Felicity stood tall, refusing to look scared.

He narrowed blue eyes at her. There was something almost beautiful about those eyes. Or there would be if they weren’t glowering at her. His gaze flickered to Rene.

“Don’t I know you?”
