Once at faire, I was walking around shirtless and a kid asked me where I got the scars on my chest from and as far as I know to this day he still thinks there's a pirate at faire who got almost got bit in half by a shark.

I started working Renaissance Festivals when I was 15 Im 25 now. I've been in transition for seven years. I've been on testosterone for six, I had top surgery almost two years ago. Its hard, and you go through a lot. You question a lot. And in the end, you come out with only yourself. But it's more than you had before.
