Okay but like, why is there no musical made up of Faire-style music? Could you imagine a musical opening with one person onstage by themself, no set either, starting things off by getting a stomp on and then beginning the opening number acapella, and then on the first chorus (or second, if the song opens with chorus) the accompaniment comes in, and then the stage starts being set around the singer, and then other voices join in on the next chorus and there's just all this movement around the first singer, who is still standing and singing and stomping, and the stage is fully set by the end, with other characters too, and the final verse is sung by several of them and the final chorus is everyone and just,,,, hnnnnnggg I need this.
Highly relatable, while not strictly about Faire folk. Watch with sound.
