Seasons of Love

if anyone ever tells you that theatre is stupid, tell them about that one time where “seasons of love” from Rent helped me with a physics competition. The question given to our team said ‘find the average age of your entire group and convert the amount of years into minutes’.

everyone on my team was like “wtf this is such an obscure question, who the hell knows the minutes in a year? how are we meant to figure this out!?”

Hmm…

….now enter me and my musical-obsessed ass! “guys, there are 525,600 minutes in a year”

and then everybody stares at me. (boys, girls I can’t help it baaaaaby! lol I’m lame. Anyway on with the story)

My physics teacher starts laughing and gets a calculator to see if I’m right (which I obviously was)

long story short, we figured out the answer, and we did it faster than the other teams too.

So HOW exactly did I know the minutes in a year? Hmm?
