If you can’t tell, my boyfriend, Liam, and I are baristas at Starbucks where we initially met. I think every Starbucks has at least one swiftie who dances like no one is watching every time one of your songs comes on. I tell Liam all about you and what’s happening in the fandom and what your songs mean to me. I send him songs like Stay Stay Stay after a fight and play IDSB to jam to in the car and he guesses which song is from which album every time. He even drove to Target with me at 1 am the day that Rep came out so I could buy it as soon as possible. They hadn’t put it out yet so I downloaded it from iTunes right away and went to Target the next day to pick up a physical copy. This summer I’ve been watching your music videos on Liam’s smart TV with him late at night and then discussing them together like intellectuals Lol. His favorite is Wildest Dreams especially because proceeds from the video went to wild life foundations. When Call It What You Want came out, i listened to it with Liam for the first time and our eyes locked when we heard, “Loves me like I’m brand new,” because his favorite band is named Brand New. Not only that, both of us have been diagnosed with Bipolar II Disorder which makes it hard not to feel overemotional or damaged or suicidal sometimes. So we love each other like we’re brand new. We feel misunderstood by the world sometimes just like you must. We have always loved you like you’re brand new, Taylor. That will never ever change. CIWYW is such a gift because there will always be people, for Liam and me it was our co-workers spreading rumors about us all the time, who try to tear you down because they’re jealous or just Mean. But you always rise above it all and come out better and stronger and braver than before. Thank you for making Reputation and being who you are and sharing that with us.
