hi! im in my first year I did really well and got A's and B's. however im in my second year now I think i might get two D's. im starting to get really depressed because I never got such a low grade in my life. the courses were fine but i know i did really bad on the finals because i didnt have enough time. on the bright side, im more motivated to do well next semester. do you guys think i should retake these two 2nd year courses? they're both courses required in my major
If overall you’re able to get A’s and B’s in the rest of your courses, I personally wouldn’t bother as two courses won’t affected your overall GPA that much. For grad school generally your last two years are what count so if that’s what you’re worried about you should be okay on that aspect as well.
Of course I would recommend retaking them if it affects your subsequent career/education (e.g. some faculties require C+ in certain major courses to continue in the program, or there’s a minimum grade for core courses if you’re planning on pursuing CPA or something).
