Hi, If you fail a course how does that work when repeating it. Does you first attempt show or the second attempt.
Both your attempts will show up on your transcript, but only the second attempt will be counted in your GPA.

Hello, I am currently a psych major looking to switch to Economics and unfortunately I got a D+ on both ECON1000/1010, however I did fairly well in other ECON 3000 courses. I still haven't submitted my degree change request yet because I'm afraid it will get rejected due to the two D+'s, even though the requirement is a cumulative GPA of 5. Should I re-take ECON1000/1010?
If you’ve already passed these courses, then I don’t see any reason why you should repeat them (that’s my personal opinion). If you feel like you can do better, then yes you can repeat the courses. It’s really up to you as to what you want to do. Having said that, I would also add that if you got a D+ in ECON 1000/1010 then is switching to Economics really something you want to do? I think you should first evaluate why you did poorly in those courses.

Hi when I check my degree progress report it has NCR next to a course I'm currently repeating. My grade has not come out yet since I just did my final, is it supposed to say NCR when I didn't even finish my second attempt yet?
It should say NCR beside the first attempt of the course, not the second attempt.

Hey , I have that one 1st year Nats course which is the 1775 technology and civilization that I got F in it and I’ve petition that course since then and it got rejected. I’m in my last year and I will be gaduating this year and I have a good Gpa accept that course is pulling my gpa down and I’ve always tried to take it and it’s always full. My question is there any way I can get rid of that course or mark out of my report card. Pls let me know
The only way you can get rid of it is by petitioning or repeating the course. There are no other options besides those.

I know what course credit exclusions mean but what If i got a bad mark in one NATS class last year and want to retake another NATS this year? would my highest grade be taken into consideration or only the first one?
It doesn’t work like that. If you got a bad mark in one NATS class then you have to retake the same exact NATS class to replace the grade in your GPA. You can’t take a course credit exclusion to replace the grade. If you repeat the same course again, then only the second mark will be taken into consideration for your GPA, it’s not based on the highest mark.
So, for example, if I took NATS 1000 and got a D then I would have to repeat NATS 1000 again to replace the D. If I repeat NATS 1000 and I get an F or a B+ then that is the grade counted for my GPA and the D will no longer count.

I repeated two courses so far. For one of them it shows my first mark as NCR on my unofficial transcript. But the second one it doesn't show this, just the two grades. Is this okay since it is my unofficial transcript and who could I contact about this?
It’s supposed to show up as NCR beside your first attempt if you’re repeating a course, the same will be shown on your official transcript as far as I know.
You can contact the Registrar’s Office.

I'm deciding to retake a course that has a small language class. I got a bad mark previously and I plan to retake it with another professor. Do professors know if you retook a course?
No they don’t, they don’t get to see your transcript.

Just need quick advice...if I wear to repeat the course, would the marks automatically replace with the second attempt marks?
Yup, but both attempts will still appear on your transcript (the first attempt will have NCR beside it).
