the way i understand this conversation; I feel like I define myself by my ideas and internal sense of being a person with thoughts/feelings.  I mean, I try to live according to those thoughts/feelings/ideals but when I fail (as all people do) it doesn’t give me a great crisis of being.

Although this list might represent my life different based on the fact that influential novels mean as much to me as a person as they mean to me as a writer.  So some of them are “THIS IS EVERYTHING I WANT IN A STORY/WRITING STYLE” and some are “this moves me on a spiritual level.”

16: if you’d grown up in a different environment, do you think you’d have turned out the same?

No.  Environment has such a huge impact on who we are as a person.  Not only does it influence you as a person but it provided limitations that are unique to that environment; which present an entirely different set of opportunities.  Setting aside the notion that my personality may be made different based on a change in scenery or circumstance, the outcome of my life would be altered regardless based on the new parameters of what defined ‘success’ or even just the general expectations of my behavior/accomplishments.  

I like to believe there are core characteristics that wouldn’t change.  I’m stubborn, sarcastic, internal (as in I think everything through rather than act everything out) but there’s no actual way to know how much of who I am is based in where and how my life has happened.  We would all be different people if put in different situations.  

17: would you say your tumblr is a fair representation of the “real you”?

No.  You would be closer to discovering the “real me” by reading the things I write than by looking at the pretty things I reblog.  Fandom and fan related things are an escape, they are not an accurate representation of me.

28: on a scale from 1 to 10, how hard is it for someone to get under your skin?

I feel there are 2 answers here:

4, based on how I find it annoying when people treat others with limited or no kindness or understanding.  Or when they issue blanket statements that effect a wide variety of people in a negative way.  (Think those “if you do this, then this awful thing” statements on Tumblr.)  That vexes me when I see it because misery is like the common cold, its very effective and every easy to spread.

9.  Because my sense of “under my skin” revolves around anything that makes me react negatively or meanly to another person.  This has happened maybe 4 times in my life and each time it took months to reach the point where I could not tolerate the person.

1. I don’t believe in love at first sight, soul mates, or marriage.  Marriage least of those.  (actually you guys might know that.)

1.  Romantic comedies are literally my favorite genre of anything ever.  Secondary to that is action movies.  I basically only read romantic comedy or get together porn fics in Fanfic, Outside of that, I’ll read pretty much anything.  

2.  Stephen King is my writing idol.  But only that golden period when he was taking so many drugs he’s got holes in his memory.  I take comfort in the fact that his first book, Carrie was a piece of trash.

3.  I’m the least exciting person to watch a movie with.  I will probably lean over in the first ten minutes and go: “THAT’S THE VILLAIN.”  Also, “THE FACT THAT THOSE ARE NOT ONIONS ARE INTEGRAL TO SOLVING THE CONFLICT OF THIS MOVIE.”

Crossroad Blues - Robert Johnson came up first on the shuffle.  Probably cheating to say season 3 (I think it’s actually 2 though) Wincest because that’s where the song is from.  But that’s the only thing that comes to mind.  Let me try to find a song not part of a soundtrack

Signal Fire - Snow Patrol.  James Kirk/Leonard ‘Bones’ McCoy from Star Trek because it was one of the songs in the Inertia soundtrack.  I can’t even control my emotions when I hear it.
