“So, what’s on your itinerary?” Zander asks as he sits down next to Morgan with his coffee, while there was no denying he wasn’t exactly keen about this whole field trip thing, he supposed it didn’t hurt to ask - right? “I” m still trying to figure out what the appeal actually is, other than the public library, I suppose.” He was very underwhelmed by New York City so far. What separated it from every other city - who decided to live here? But, he supposed vacations really weren’t his thing given his reaction to all of the ones he’d taken with Luxor to date. As much as he hated to admit it, perhaps Lance actually had a point when it came to never doing this sort of thing with them growing up.

While Zander wasn’t the type to normally check on people he wasn’t close to, today was going to be an exception. Mostly because his friends were all in turmoil so he assumed the rest of the school would be too, but partly because he felt so guilty for not knowing what to do to help any of them it felt easiest to check on the person with the secret he actually felt like he could understand. “Mind if I sit?” He asks during dinner, gesturing to the seat across from her.

Who: Morgan and Zander ( @morgcnreyes​​ ) Where: Someplace public like the common room, hall, etc etc When: A couple days after prom

“My therapist said it might be productive to talk things out with you.” Zander starts, immediately, when he finds himself face to face with Morgan. “And I agree that avoiding you doesn’t make me feel any better, so I’m going to humor her.” Okay, maybe not the way to approach Morgan again after everything but he wasn’t even sure how he was supposed to approach this. How was he even supposed to approach her after he accused her of enjoying stabbing him in the back? Sure, she’d clarified a bit during game night but he doubted he was even in the top million people she wanted to even see in the same place as her, let alone talk to. Still, maybe he was wrong about how angry she was and they could reach an understanding before he left for the summer. “I’ll be completely honest, I don’t know the best way to handle this is. But, I’m sorry I accused you of enjoying stabbing me in the back and shit. I realize that wasn’t what you meant to do when you voted for Balo now, and my feelings got in the way of my ability to think rationally in that situation.”

Running into Morgan at some point had been inevitable - after all, they were both on the cheer team. Balo had to deal with her every day during practice, extremely aware that the other girl must have hated her guts considering she’d voted for her secret to be revealed. Still after practice, lately Balo had just been talking to anyone but the other flyer, falling into the habit of just going completely silent any time she noticed the other girl was in earshot. “So after I check in with the bases, I’ll text you to figure out times. I’ve gotta go find Zan though, I promised him we’d go grab sushi after practice, and the last thing he needs is to come here looking for me.”

Especially since it’d involve running into Morgan. Still, she goes to step away from the friend she’d be talking to - not realizing how close the girl she’d been trying to avoid actually is in proximity until she bumps into her. “Oops, sorry about that. I didn’t see you. You okay?” Of course, she had no intention of staying any longer than making sure Morgan wasn’t injured at the moment. They weren’t friends, and with how upset Zander was - well, if Balo wasn’t in the mood to be friendly, she was pretty sure he’d encourage it at the moment.

“I printed the photos I took in New York! Would you like to see?” Zander asks, with his folder of photographs tucked under his arm. “I think some of them turned out pretty cool, though. How’d your photographs go? Get anything cool after we split up?”
