A pristine white cat emerged, their coat practically glowing under the midday sun. Every aspect of their appearance spoke of refinement, from their tailored uniform to the subtle sparkle of their silver jewelry. Their long tail swayed as they surveyed the campus, their sharp blue eyes assessing every detail.

Whispers rippled through the crowd of students.

“Is that Faye Belladonna?”

“The Belladonna family owns like... half the fashion industry, right?”

“They’re supposed to be loaded!”

Unfazed by the attention, Faye adjusted the cuffs of their blazer with a calm, practiced grace. They handed their leather bag to the driver, their expression cool but not unkind. “I’ll handle the rest, Marcel. You can go.”

“Yes, Faye,” the driver said with a respectful bow before returning to the car.

In the distance, Legoshi stood frozen, awkwardly clutching a stack of books. He hadn’t meant to stare, but it was impossible not to. Faye exuded a quiet confidence that made them stand out effortlessly, their presence commanding without a single word.

“Legoshi, you’re staring again,” Jack muttered, nudging him in the ribs.

“S-Sorry,” Legoshi stammered, quickly averting his gaze. But when he dared to look back, he realized with a start that Faye’s piercing blue eyes were now on him.

Their gaze lingered for a moment, curious and thoughtful, before their lips curled into a small, knowing smile. Then they turned and strode toward the dorms, leaving Legoshi standing there, his heart inexplicably racing.

“It’s fine,” came a smooth, measured voice.

Legoshi looked up to see Faye Belladonna standing there, their pristine coat now marred by a dark stain. They regarded the mess with an unreadable expression, then turned their sharp blue eyes on him.

For a moment, Legoshi was certain they were going to yell. Instead, Faye chuckled softly. “I’ll admit, this is a bold way to introduce yourself.”

“I-I didn’t mean to!” Legoshi stammered, his ears flattening against his head. “I’ll pay for it! Or replace it! Or—”

Faye raised a paw, cutting him off with an amused smile. “Relax, wolf. It’s just fabric. Besides, I think you’re more upset about this than I am.”

Their calm demeanor caught Legoshi completely off guard. Most others would have been furious, but Faye seemed almost amused. They plucked a napkin from the tray and handed it to him.

“Here. You look like you’re about to faint,” they teased, their voice light but not unkind.

Legoshi hesitated, then took the napkin with trembling hands. “I... I really am sorry,” he mumbled.

“I can tell,” Faye said, their smile softening. “What’s your name?”

“L-Legoshi,” he managed.

“Legoshi,” they repeated, as if testing the sound of it. Their tail flicked lazily behind them. “Well, Legoshi, you’re lucky I like surprises. See you around.”

Before he could respond, Faye turned and walked away, their head held high. Legoshi watched them go, his heart still pounding in his chest.

“Thank you, Legoshi,” they said, their voice barely above a whisper.
