Ashley anticipated a number of things as she strode outside, pertaining to: blue skies, steaming asphalt. Maybe a bird or two. Her car, of course, trunk popped, near full to the seams. Still, Ashley holds in her arms a heavy bounty, this time with regard to snacks, her previous armfuls being bedding, sleepwear, and naturally, an outfit change for most every occasion. Things like this were meant to be life-changing, and with that came life-changing events... she hoped, in this case, they weren't so drastic as the ones from then. No, Ashley rattles her head back and forth, you're doing this to get away from that. No more --
"Huh?"
Ashley didn't anticipate a familiar bed of hair, nonchalantly leaning against her door, handling his own fair share of supplies. In noticing such, Ashley all but loses her own, the shock almost enough to have everything tumbling overboard, but Ashley decides that she's embarrassed herself in front of Leon enough.
Which... yeah. There he was. More tired, maybe; eyes dark 'round the edges, hair longer. Not so fresh-shaven, but not... not, either. Her wide-eyed stare goes on a bit too long for her liking, and so, Ashley walks very straightforwardly, no trips or stumbles at all, to her trunk, depositing her weekslong worth of treats.
"Leon, what- I didn't think - you read my emails?"
Ashley wants to hug him again, but for fear of sending him westward, Ashley withholds. He's... he doesn't have, like, a lot with him, but. Maybe he's a survivalist... no, he is a survivalist type, he knows what he needs, and doesn't need. Ashley wonders if maybe she's doing a bit much, but - dammit, this is her life-altering roadtrip.
Now with a plus one.
"Oh! Here, lemme'... I don't think there's anymore room left in the trunk, but," unlocking the door, Ashley gestures toward the, admittedly not-so-spacious, back. "That should be enough? You don't have to do this if you don't want to. I, um. I didn't really expect you to want to come. I wanted you to, but."
