Pairing: Neville Longbottom x Fem Reader

The mist of early morning hung like a silken veil over the Hogwarts grounds as (Y/N) strolled through the dewy grass, your mind swirling with thoughts as chaotic as the Scarlet Witch’s hex magic. Being the daughter of Wanda Maximoff, the legendary Avenger, she inherited more than just her striking features; her powers surged through (Y/N)’s veins, a potent blend of telekinesis and reality-bending magic. The weight of these abilities often felt like a burden, but today, as she approached the greenhouse for Herbology class, they brought a sense of hope. Neville Longbottom, with his kind eyes and unassuming bravery, had somehow managed to make you feel at ease amidst the chaos within, especially because of how knowledgeable he was about the subject she struggled with the most.
As (Y/N) walked towards the greenhouse, the rhythmic tap of her shoes on the cobblestone path echoed through the tranquil morning air. A soft breeze rustled the leaves of the nearby trees, carrying the scent of blooming flowers that filled her senses with a calming presence.
Neville was already waiting outside the greenhouse, his face lighting up with a gentle smile as he saw (Y/N) approaching. His Hogwarts robes slightly askew, Neville adjusted his Herbology book under his arm as he greeted her warmly.
"Good morning, (Y/N)," Neville said, his voice filled with genuine warmth. "I was just going over some notes for today's class. Professor Sprout mentioned that we'll be working with Mimbulus Mimbletonia plants today. They can be quite tricky to handle, but I'm sure you'll do great."
(Y/N) returned Neville's smile, feeling a sense of gratitude for his encouragement. Together, they entered the greenhouse, where rows of Mimbulus Mimbletonia plants lined the tables, their thick stems covered in pulsating boils that released occasional puffs of noxious green gas. Professor Sprout bustled around, her hands deep in the rich soil as she prepared for the lesson.
Neville led (Y/N) to a table at the back, away from the other students. "These plants can be quite temperamental," he explained, flipping through his textbook to a page detailing their care. "But with proper handling and a gentle touch, they can be fascinating to work with."
As the lesson began, Professor Sprout gathered the students around a particularly large specimen of Mimbulus Mimbletonia. She demonstrated the careful way to stroke its boils to calm it down before transplanting it into a new pot. Neville listened intently, absorbing every detail, while (Y/N) watched with fascination.
When it was their turn to try, Neville went first, his hands steady as he approached the Mimbulus Mimbletonia plant. With a determined expression, he slowly reached out and began to stroke the plant's boils with a gentle touch, murmuring soothing words to it. Miraculously, the plant seemed to relax under Neville's care, emitting a low purring sound that surprised everyone in the greenhouse.
(Y/N) watched in awe as Neville effortlessly handled the tricky plant, a sense of admiration swelling within her for his deep connection with magical flora. Encouraged by Neville's success, she took a deep breath and stepped forward to give it a try herself. Her hands trembled slightly with nervous energy, but she remembered Neville's calming presence beside her.
As (Y/N) reached out to touch the Mimbulus Mimbletonia plant, a surge of power stirred within her. Unbeknownst to anyone else, her telekinetic abilities subtly intertwined with her touch, sending small waves of energy that seemed to resonate with the plant's own magic. The only sign was a small blue light that danced under her fingertips as she softly rubbed the boil on the plant.
To her surprise, as (Y/N) made contact with the Mimbulus Mimbletonia plant, a wave of shimmering energy cascaded through its leaves, causing the boils to emit a soft, ethereal glow. The plant seemed to respond to her touch in a way that Professor Sprout had never witnessed before. Neville's eyes widened in amazement as he observed the magical interaction unfolding before him.
As (Y/N) continued to caress the plant, a harmonious hum filled the greenhouse, blending with the gentle rustling of leaves outside. The air was charged with an otherworldly presence, and even Professor Sprout paused in her demonstration to marvel at the sight. The Mimbulus Mimbletonia swayed gently, as if in a trance induced by (Y/N)'s unique connection to nature.
Feeling the pulsating energy coursing through her veins, (Y/N) closed her eyes and focused on channeling her powers with precision. “Ah, one of Xavier Prep’s exchange students,” Professor Sprout smiled. “No need to worry, dear; I know the manifestation of mutant magic is different. Please carry on.”
As the magical energy flowed between her and the Mimbulus Mimbletonia plant, (Y/N) felt a sense of peace wash over her. It was as if she had found a way to harmonize her own abilities with the natural magic of the plant, creating a connection unlike any she had ever experienced before.
Neville watched in awe as the plant responded to (Y/N)'s touch, its leaves shimmering with an otherworldly radiance. His admiration for her only grew stronger, seeing not just her innate abilities but also her compassionate nature reflected in this moment of magic.
With each gentle stroke, (Y/N) could feel the plant's essence resonating with her own, a silent conversation passing between them in a language of energy and emotion. It was a dance of harmony, a blend of two different kinds of magic coming together in perfect unity.
The Mimbulus Mimbletonia plant, usually known for its cantankerous temperament, seemed to bask in the glow of her light.
Class soon ended and (Y/N) sighed as she made her way from the gardens back up to the great hall. Classes were over for the fifth year students for the day and she was really hungry. Hurried footsteps caught up to her and Neville soon appeared.
“(Y/N)… can I, can I ask, what Professor Sprout meant by mutant? Your magic is just really cool and I…” He paused, seemingly uncomfortable. “I just really want to know more about you.”
(Y/N) smiled warmly at Neville's inquiry, touched by his genuine curiosity and acceptance of her unique magical abilities. As they walked side by side towards the Great Hall, she began to speak, her voice soft yet filled with a quiet confidence.
"Well, Neville, you see, my abilities are a bit different from traditional magic users here at Hogwarts," (Y/N) explained, glancing at him with a reassuring smile. "I come from a lineage of mutants, individuals born with extraordinary powers that set us apart. My mother, Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch, is one of the most powerful mutants in the world. My uncle Pietro is very powerful, too, he’s a speedster, he can bend space/time to run really fast. My mother, like me, is telekinetic; we can move things and cause effects with our minds. My dad was a wizard, which is why I cast spells with a wand too. "
Neville's eyes widened in awe and surprise, his interest piqued as he listened intently to (Y/N)'s explanation. He had heard tales of the muggle hero Scarlet Witch and her incredible feats from Hermione, but to now stand beside her daughter, who radiated warmth and kindness, was a revelation in itself.
Neville walked alongside (Y/N) in a mixture of wonder and admiration, processing the newfound knowledge about her extraordinary lineage. The corridors echoed with their footsteps as they made their way to the Great Hall, the usual chatter of students fading into the background as Neville's focus remained solely on (Y/N).
"Your abilities are truly remarkable, (Y/N)," Neville finally spoke, his voice laced with a blend of respect and curiosity. "It's fascinating how your magic is intertwined with your mutant heritage. I've always believed that there's magic in all forms, whether it be traditional wizardry or mutant powers."
(Y/N) smiled warmly at Neville's words, grateful for his open-mindedness and genuine interest in her background. "Thank you, Neville. It means a lot to me that you're so accepting and eager to understand," she replied, her eyes reflecting a sense of appreciation.
As they entered the bustling Great Hall, filled with students enjoying their meals and engaged in lively conversations, (Y/N) couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort knowing that Neville was by her side, accepting her for who she truly was. The warmth in his eyes and the genuine curiosity in his voice reassured her that she had found a true friend at Hogwarts, someone who saw beyond her abilities and valued her for the person she was.
Sitting down at the Gryffindor table, Neville and (Y/N) continued their conversation, delving into stories of their pasts and sharing moments of laughter. The gentle clinking of cutlery and the murmur of voices around them created a soothing backdrop to their budding friendship.
As they talked, Neville shared tales of his experiences at Hogwarts, from his nervous beginnings in the wizarding world to his growing confidence in Herbology. (Y/N) listened attentively, finding herself drawn to Neville's resilience and determination despite his initial shyness.
“Um… (Y/N),” Neville asked, his behavior nervous as he turned to the other student.
“Yeah?” (Y/N) responded as she piled her plate high with food.
“Would you… would you want to go to Hogsmeade with me this weekend… on… on a date?” Neville blurted out.
(Y/N) paused, her eyes widening in surprise at Neville's unexpected question. She could see the nervousness written all over his face, his usually timid demeanor contrasting with the boldness of his invitation. The warmth of the Great Hall seemed to envelop them in a bubble of anticipation as (Y/N) processed the moment.
A soft smile tugged at the corners of her lips as she met Neville's gaze, her heart touched by his sincerity and courage. Despite the initial shock of his proposal, she felt a flutter of excitement at the thought of spending more time with him outside the confines of Hogwarts.
"Neville," (Y/N) began, her voice gentle yet filled with a newfound resolve. "I would love to go to Hogsmeade with you this weekend, not just as friends, but as something more."
Neville's eyes widened in disbelief, a mixture of joy and astonishment painting his features. The realization that (Y/N) saw him in a different light. One as special as the electric blue that sparked from the fingertips of the girl he had liked since third year.
Requests: Idk if this make sense but could you write a Neville Longbottom x reader where the reader is one of the Pevensie siblings from Narnia and she's know as Queen Y/n the Warrior?

When the thrum of the train was turning to silence, Neville Longbottom sat in the train car, unable to move or make a sound. A group of sixth year Slytherins had casted the petrification charm on him and he was stuck, held together as if he was superglued to himself. He couldn’t even look up when he heard the door open.
“Oh my.” The unfamiliar voice said, “Finite Incantatam.”
Neville felt himself gradually come undone. He stood face to face with a girl his own age (Y/e/c) eyes staring back at him, a kind smile on her face.
“Well they did a number on you didn’t they.” She said, not waiting for a reply.
Neville stuttered for a moment before choking out a “Thank you, I’m Neville”
“Nice to meet you Neville, I’m (Y/n).” She responded with a wider grin than before.
The two fifth years departed from the train on time and settled into a carriage drawn by an invisible horse. They sat in comfortable silence as they approached the castle, just the two of them.
Neville looked at her uniform, she was a Hufflepuff, though he couldn’t remember her from any of his classes.
Noticing his curiosity (Y/n) grinned. “I transferred, from homeschooling last year.” She looked down at her feet. “My uncle taught me everything he could, but he wasn’t able to teach me more, so he sent me here to learn.” She looked up at him.
“It’s ok,” Neville smiled softly, “I don’t think any less of you.”
“My uncle lives in the countryside, with my four siblings. Edmund, Susan, Peter and Lucy. None of them are magic, but he loves us all the same.”
Soon enough the pair reached the castle and made their separate ways.
A few weeks into their stay at school there was an opening at the Hufflepuff table at breakfast, steeling his nerves, Neville made his way over and sat next to (Y/n).
She was wearing muggle clothes at the moment. A beautiful purple dress that fell all the way to the floor. “Hello, Neville! Lovely to see you again!” And just like that a healthy friendship blossomed.
As winter came, Neville and (Y/n) became closer and closer, both deciding to spend the holiday at school.
“I don’t like Umbridge,” Neville admitted as he sat in the Hufflepuff common room with (Y/n). “Some days I wish I could walk into another world just to get away from it all.
(Y/n) tensed and looked up at him. “You really want to go to another world?” She asked, eyes a bit wide.
“Sure why not. No Umbridge, no worries.” He grumbled looking back to his horrifying textbook assigned by the above-mentioned teacher.
Slowly (Y/n) rose to her feet. “What if I told you, temporarily, you could go to another world, with me.” She said, tentatively.
Neville’s eyes widened as well as he looked at (Y/n). “You’re not kidding?”
(Y/n) shook her head no. “Come up, quick.” She said, grabbing his hand and running up the stairs to the girls’ dorm.
She looked around before closing and locking the dorm room shut. “Revalio.” As she spoke, a beautiful wardrobe appeared before her. Ornately carved from applewood and decorated with gold accents. She opened the doors and climbed inside. “Come on Neville.” she gestured for him to get in too.
Neville looked at her as if she were insane. But deciding the worst that could happen was he was stuck in a wardrobe with the girl he had a crush on, he too followed after (Y/n).
The wardrobe didn’t seem to have a back, and the fur coats inside seemed to go on forever, until both students broke from the trees and into a beautiful summer’s day. (Y/n) smiled and pulled a small whistle from her pocket, and a pegasus soared down, landing before the pair.
“Come on Neville!” (Y/n) giggled as she climbed onto the saddle.
“I must be dreaming,” Neville replied as he helped himself up behind (Y/n)
The winged horse flew across the sky and toward a giant golden castle. Landing in a magnificent courtyard the young woman was quick to hop off of the saddle and make her way to the large doors. As the teenagers approached, they swung open by themselves.
Sitting in beautiful thrones were four other people the youngest appeared to be about twelve. The middle throne was empty.
As Neville gawked, (Y/n) disappeared into a room and came back in the purple dress that she had been wearing the Christmas holiday day, when they had become close.
She gave a deep curtsey before taking Neville’s hand and leading him forward. “May I introduce you to my siblings Neville, High King Peter: The Magnificent, High Queen Susan: The Gentle, King Edmund: The Just, and Queen Lucy: The Valiant.”
Peter, the high king, stood. He was wearing bright red and had a sword at his hip. He was clearly the eldest and most experienced. He stepped forward and hugged (Y/n). “And our sister Queen (Y/n): The Warrior, defender of Narnia, and the high sorceress of our council of leaders.” He led (Y/n) to her throne which sat in the middle and she settled into it, as a faun rushed forward to place a silver crown on her head.
Neville looked befuddled as he looked at his crush, sat on a throne with a crown atop her head. The siblings looked powerful, but that was broken as Lucy and (Y/n) both broke into laughter.
(Y/n) stood once more and hugged her three other siblings. They engaged in small talk for a few minutes before (Y/n) handed her crown back to the faun and descended to Neville, who still looked slackjawed. “It’s time to go back now. But, if you ask, I can bring you back anytime you want.”
Taking his hand and leading him back to the pegasus and through the wardrobe in silence. Neville couldn’t comprehend what he had seen. As soon as they were once more in the girls’ dorm he regained his ability to speak.
“A queen, high sorceress, Narnia?” He asked.
“How about we talk about it more later.” (Y/n) suggested, “Maybe over butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks?”
“Y-yeah!” Neville stumbled out, flushing as he made his way back to Gryffindor tower, both surprised and happy he was to go on a date, for who could say no to a queen?
