Hard Reset
Well.... this has been a process so far.
Here's a before (sorta, I had taken out the driftwood). As you can see, algae runs rampant and is pretty nasty stuff. It covers everything in a thick coating and returns a few days after scrubbing. Sparsely stocked, I lost most of my neons recently and I haven’t felt in the hobby enough to want to buy new fish for this garbage looking tank. I mean... look at it. Bleh.
And now, day one of hard reset.
All the fish have been safely removed to a smaller temporary tank. Catching them all was a PROCESS. But they are happily swimming in a nice clean tank for now. I removed as much of the old sand as I could and gave the walls a quick wipe. The bleach is now doing its job of HOPEFULLY killing off the remaining algae. Scrubby time in a few hours! Will update progress!
Gave Arp an overdue rescape! You can tell she gets bored of them after awhile
New tank layout, ft moss Bob my newest moss ball just chillin at the top of the tank for no reason
So… my orange shrimp aquarium is still a work in process
is it time to Evacuate The Snail and start the rescape
wish me luck
that koi boi is comin home with me
Fresh after today's water change, bye bye algae cloud! I'm sure I'll see you again soon... Also I took out the front leaf mat and planted a little of the floating water sprite. And look how much the sword has grown! I had to switch the big and small caves to make the sword the centerpiece.
UPDATE
i did finally clean my tank of whatever the fuck algae that was. And now ive spent $80 on new plants to reflesh it out....
I guess it was a good excuse for a rescape.
