Temporary foster home needed!
(SF Bay Area / Sacramento) Help! We need a temporary foster home while our forever home parent finds housing in another state.
Hunny Bunny (brown) is a female rabbit age around 6 or 7 and her bonded partner is Pumpkin (white), a blue-eyed boy who is about 5 or 6. Hunny Bunny is alpha bun and likes to be pet but can be a bit nippy while Pumpkin is beta and likes to lick but not be pet—but he’s a sweetheart!
They are both free roam bunnies who are litter trained, and their principal diet is hay. We feed them breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with foods like kale, dandelion greens, carrot greens, Italian parsley, fennel, celery, radishes and radish greens, dill, thyme, oregano, and basil. They love fresh apple sticks and rabbit-friendly fruit for a treat like a fresh blueberry, blackberry, or freeze-dried snacks. We also offer them dried chamomile as an evening treat before bed.
Hunny Bunny and Pumpkin need a temporary home the end of March through April and possibly May (it all depends on finding housing in April while in Oregon). Once housing has been secured, the bunnies will be taken care of in their forever home. We have oodles of hay, a double exercise pen, and can supply funds for greens too.
