I launched this fundraiser to help sustain and build up the Resilient Voices & Beyond podcast. Also, to create an emergency fund in support of alums in need. Last but not least, build and bring the initiative to our communities to help the fight towards prevention and preservation of families. Your support will help maintain the podcast by helping me obtain copyright and trademark rights, get my LLC, and, most importantly, help me build and expand to bring equity to others with lived experience and more. It also will help me launch the Resilient Voices & Beyond initiative. Which is an initiative to help bridge the gap between minority communities and the agencies that serve them by helping educate/train community leaders and support young parents, bringing better and much-needed prevention services and preservation tools and support. Your support will also help me launch an emergency fund through MDDTSpeaks Resilient Voices & Beyond podcast. This emergency fine is much needed because, throughout the years, many alums like myself have been reached out to by other alumni for assistance. As we all know, Covid has done extreme damage to a lot of us, but even more so to a community that is already lacking support and a strong foundation. Most people aging out now have challenges finding stability and sometimes make mistakes before they even realize it. I firmly believe that it is our duty to be that Village for one another and help pay it for and guide these individuals to a place of stability and a thriving foundation that is unique to them. I hope this emergency fund can help support alums that are young parents, alums that have struggled with rent or have been evicted, alums that are trying to pursue education, and more.
