This struck me because lately myself and other advocates have been asked or invited to “ have a seat at the table “ to discuss reform and representation of lived experience within the child welfare work and more. I have found more and more after the zoom meeting has ended and everyone has been dismissed. Recently launched two group spaces on on LinkedIn and one on Facebookfor versatility and convenience. these groups were recommended coming out of the coffee and conversation events that Ihave hosted to continue the conversation. These Groups are segwaying from the Resilient Voices & Beyond coffee and conversation events. This space is here to challenge the barriers in our fields and have in-depth conversations and discussions surrounding our work areas, such as child welfare, education, mental health, criminal justice, and more.
