After a great show at FreakNight this year, we were really hyped for the fifth annual Resolution, hosted by USC Events at the WaMu Theater in Seattle. The recurring theme of white and gold can be found all over the event, from the elaborate outfits of the crowd of ravers to the decorations and confetti. The sets played this year were top notch as usual, with Dillon Francis and Noisia wrapping up the night on the separate stages.

Some notable tracks from the start of the event include Damian William & Vanic Feat Young A & Cora – Really Gonna Do This, SNBRN ft. Andre Watt – Beat the Sunrise, Slander & NGHTMRE – You, Liquid Stranger – Move It, and Benny Benassi & Chris Nasty – Aphrodisiak.

  Some more songs played later in the night include LOUDPVCK – Switch Hitta, Seven Lions – Cusp, and Snails – Frogbass.

The zenith of the night was the spectacular New Year’s countdown.

Eric Prdyz’s Opus was easily one of the hottest tracks of the night, and was the perfect fit for the big celebration before the final acts. The tension just kept growing as the year’s events were displayed one by one, from the marriage equality ruling to Shia LeBeouf’s motivational speech.

The front portion of the audience were showered in shiny confetti and rubber balls that fed the energy of the dancers. The performers and acrobats were incredible this year, with clever costumes and full of energy. By the time the headliners took the stage, you could feel the excitement around you as the music began to play. His set included his new song Bruk Bruk off his new album ‘This Mixtape is Fire’, plus Bun Up the Dance, featuring Skrillex. Finally, Noisia’s set included Dead Limit and Omnivore with The Upbeats. I wish it could have continued into the night, but we still felt satisfied when the lights turned on and the only sound heard became the surrounding mingling of the ravers. We can’t wait for next year’s Resolution, though hopefully we can get the scoop on this year’s coming Lucky. Important wish!!

One thing I forgot about my wish this year....I hope...I really hope...Marine Science of bachelor degree will build on my campus, the University of Indonesia.
