lmao with all due respect for the authors of that game, i have never played it because i don't like the dicerolling/luck aspect of it. and i only know that breach uses that because i had to search up the game myself. how can i rip off a game i've never played before?

and like i said, with all due respect certain authors don't own a theme of literature. literally anyone can write about crime and mystery and gangs, lol. same goes with supernatural romance etc.

it can never be a good day for landoscar fans it seems, one of them always falls behind

from what i understood (and i joined the live stream on lap 6 cause i misjudged the time) was that lando’s lock up and going into the gravel in the start fucked up his tyres, so he wasn’t able to get a lot of speed without fucking up his tyres even more, and since it’s a sprint, people don’t usually pit, right? so, i feel like that tricky situation of managing tyres and trying to speed was what led him to being stuck behind lance. though, i think that’s why in the last few laps (4 maybe) he really started pushing and overtook lance, and if there had been one more lap, he could have overtaken kimi as well (i think).

Some thoughts rolling around in my head today:

*I'm purging these because I have to get something productive done today and this is stopping me because brains are DUMB. I'm also playing with color because I am a child inside an adult body.

There's a sentiment I've seen rolling around (in multiple fandoms, for an extended period of time) of "I do this for free, I can't pay for a sensitivity reader/proofer/beta/etc." If we're a community, couldn't that be bartered for? Hey, would you read my thing - I want to make sure I do X right. I'd be happy to proof your work if you want (or other equitable non-monetary exchange). Or even: Hey, can we talk about your experience as [a first responder, a teacher, a <insert descriptor here> as it might pertain to this work? Did that go away with the need for speed posting? The never-ending rat race of constantly trying to catch the attention of the masses every day? Where did that community sense of "I'll help you, you'll help me" go?

Follow up: If anyone wants me to consult on plants, or beta-ing their work, or whatever, I gladly will. Or I'll help think of people who might be willing to help with the specificity of experience to add to what you're writing about.

Can we just do away with the vague posting? Just as a whole? Go fucking talk to the person that you're vague posting about. Pull up your pants and do the thing.
