This is actually something I was tryna push subtly!! I’ve had vague ideas bouncing around in my mind of Merlin being a little too cruel to Hunith, and someone else (probably Arthur) having to pull him aside and be like “Yeah alright, she lied, she ruined your life, whatever, you can be angry, but this is too much” and for there to be apologies and a happy reunion between mother and son!!

Like, Merlin 100% deserves his anger, Hunith and Gaius were BANG out of order by not telling him, but they were just scared and doing what they thought was best, and in such a complicated situation, people make mistakes. I absolutely do NOT want to end the storyline with Merlin on bad terms with Hunith and Gaius, so don’t worry y’all!! All will be fixed!!
