Restless Dead by Ian Miller
People think necromancy is all "evil magic this, devil worship that" when the word itself really just came from Greek nekromanteia, where ancient Greek people tried to evoke spirits to, y'know, ask them stuff.
Throw an ashphodel flower into a burning bronze dish at the crossroads at midnight on a new moon (hail, Hekate) and boom, ya got yourself some necromancy!
Throw in some incantations for a little bit of spice, too:
"I adjure (exarkizó) you, corpse-daimon (nekudaimon) by the powerful and inexorable god and by his holy names, to stand beside me in the coming night in whatever form you used to have,
and inform me whether you have the power to perform the so-and-so deed, immediately, immediately; quickly, quickly"
And, you know, a ghost just might appear. Hopefully you have an offering so they're not mad!

Spirit Services
Spirit healing:
Many times our spirit allies and friends take a hit for us, in trying to defend us from incoming attacks. Such cases could be enemy spells, hostile energies, or even other spirits (like tar spirits). In certain cases, our defenders recover naturally, by themselves. However there are cases where they remain wounded, or damaged in some way; sometimes they are in pain and a sensitive person may perceive their anguish. I offer restoration and healing to those precious allies, restoring them to their initial potential. Recovery within 3 days. 20 dollars.
Spirit Grounding (service upgrade):
There are times when longer periods of recuperation are needed; or perhaps the keeper wishes to replenish their allies’ energy by grounding. If a familiar (or a spirit that lives with you) is to be properly rejuvenated, they need grounding from time to time. This typically happens 8 times a year, at the major points of the pagan wheel; the spirits may dive into the earth for a while, much like we dive into a pool to be refreshed. Nevertheless, what most people do not know is that the spirits bound to you (or familiars, etc), in order to be fully nourished those times, they must be able to use land that you own.
Many people live in apartments or in rent; some may not own a farm, or a private garden. A plant pot won’t do; there has to be a direct connection with the earth itself. This service offers just that. In a plot of land I own, I use a dedicated crystal for them (like a hotel room) which then stays in the allotted area (you can see photos of this). The crystals and location are selected based on the information you give me. The plot of land is located in Greece, in a specific area that is rich in energies since the ancient times. More information when contacted. Cost: 35 dollars.
Spirit Locating:
There are occasions when our trusted friends and allies vanish for days, or even for prolonged periods. Sometimes it’s due to their own evolutionary path, or due to adventures in the astral realm; other times it could indicate danger, or some test. Either way, this service can locate them for you, pinpointing them so that you don’t have to worry. A report will follow, with whatever information I am able to receive. By utilizing my own techniques, as well as getting some basic information so I can focus better, I am able to do this for you, for 10 dollars (per spirit).
Spirit Message:
The spirits that are around us seldomly do so without reason; they love us, or perhaps they wish to assist in our evolution. Sometimes there are mutual benefits. Either way, they often have something to say, especially to those wishing to turn to a more spiritual outlook, or whose path leads them to crossroads. Our familiar spirits and those others who work with us may have important messages for you. I can convey these messages to you, and I will produce a letter so that you can archive and be up to date with your trusted friends. This service costs 20 dollars per spiritual message.
Restless dead (communication and assistance with moving on):
This may seem self-explanatory to some, but it is basically a two-way communication with the spirits of the dead that haven’t left the earthly plane (for any reason). Sometimes it is the spirit of a beloved one, or simply a ghost that refuses to leave you alone. In any case, much can be gained from receiving information as to why they are still here, or what they wish to accomplish by sticking around a person. The service may include advice and also, assistance with moving on to the next plane or phase in their evolution (wherever appropriate). More details upon request. Cost: 30 dollars.
Past lives reading:
Everybody has a past before this life, which often affects the lessons we have to learn, or our purpose in this life. Sometimes the clues are scattered among several lives, which often provide interesting information. The reading is provided at the cost of 10 dollars per life.
Letter from Core Self:
There are many times when the higher self is trying to communicate with us in order to provide guidance about our current problems, information that is useful to our spiritual evolution or assistance in times of crisis. Often we are not able to perceive the faint whispers or our own stress levels may interfere with the message. This service is provided at 15 dollars.

Spirit Chimes (Sold)
This is a new piece of mine that I’m currently selling.
These “Spirit Chimes,” as I’ve come to call them, were intuitively created using a variety of items that are intimately associated with the Ancient World, the Ancestral Spirits, and the Dead. The central body of the chimes was made from an Elk Bone we collected from the nearby forest, which was drilled and strung with beads of Antique Horse Bone, held in place by larger beads of vintage Cow Bone, and terminating in four distinct pieces of Ancient Metalwork, dating from between 100 BC and 400 AD (which include a Viking Buckle, an Anglo-Saxon Connector, a Roman Buckle, and a Celtic Proto-money Ring.)
With the array of Chthonic and Thanatic virtues innately present within this implement, I believe that it can serve as a potent magical tool when awakened by the hand of the right practitioner—whether it’s used to endear its possessor to the Ancestors, Protect the Home from the Restless Dead, or simply to Serve an avower of spiritual omens.
Pricing is flexible, and I’m always happy to work out things like payment plans, so please feel free to reach out if you’re interested in purchasing this piece!
The Restless Dead are, generally, those who enter the Underworld but are unable to pay the fare to Charon and cross into the rest of the afterlife.
They despondently, despairingly, wander the shores of the Acheron or Styx river, perhaps forever or perhaps only for 100 years.
Others of the Restless Dead may be those who Hekate allows to temporarily leave Tartarus or other areas in the Underworld, as well as those who had untimely deaths or Heroes who died without a wife.
Hekate is one who takes charge of these restless wandering souls. At night, especially the night of the dark moon, She leads the host of the Restless Dead to wander the paths of the Earth.
Epithets of Hekate of the Dead, Night Wanderer:
Anassa Eneroi: Queen of the Dead
Nerteron Prytanin: Mistress of the Dead
Psychopompe: Soul‐Guide (more a description of multiple deities, including Hekate).
Stratelatis: Leader of Hosts/General (PGM)
Nykhia: Nocturnal. Of the Night
Nykteria: of the Night
Nykti: of the Night
Nyktipolos: Night‐wandering
Oistroplaneia: Spreader of Madness, Causing the Wanderings of Madness"

Any suggestions about working with the restless dead?
In all honesty, my suggestion is don’t. The restless dead are considered the most miasmic dead, and were literally called “those that must be averted” (hoi apotropaioi). Witches who called forth the dead called upon Hekate to bring up spirits from the Underworld, not the restless dead. There’s a reason people don’t look behind them, leave the home on the dark moon, or bring anything used in the offering on the deipnon back inside the house. The restless dead carry with them bad luck and misfortune and are only given offerings from people so that they leave them alone. There are many ways to work with the dead in witchcraft, but I would not recommend invoking them as one of them.
However, using Ancient Greek forms of binding magic like curse tablets may be a safer way to do so. This can be done without invocation, and were placed in the graves of those who died violently or young. This obviously is difficult sometimes, as locating these graves might be difficult. But this is the only way in which I’d recommend working with them.
