Dude, so my dad found my old DSI XL that I got in ALL THE WAY BACK IN 2010 and HOLY SHIT this thing is suuuuch a time capsule of late 2000s and early 2010s humor and meme culture, this was an absolute trip to look through.
Also I never thought I'd say I felt way safer handling this piece of hardware compared to today's tech, because it feels so hardy and don't feel like if I drop it or it slips out of my hand the entire thing would just fall apart lol.
It looks like I haven't tried to animate anything on this since 2018 or so, but the vast majority of "animations," I did on this thing were in the early 2010s when the oldest I would've been before the shutdown of online was 10. They are charming to look back on as an adult, but HOLY SHIT THEY ARE GARBAGE LMAO. And I have no idea why I thought some of those things were funny, but ngl some of my voice acting was ACTUALLY kinda goated??
Anyway, all of this is to say that I'm thinking about trying to make a Hazbin Hotel animation on this old ass, VERY limiting hardware. There's a certain charm with any Flipnote I see made in the modern day, and you don't see them often, it would be cool if I came back to this software over a decade later and tried my hand at it with all the animation knowledge I have now.
Out of curiosity, since I'm out of touch with the lost media community, are there any lost flipnotes that people or the community are looking for? It's possible I may have some. I don't know what's been archived or not. Odds are I probably have a couple of lost Flipnotes on here that I downloaded from Hatena back in the day, as I still have the OG 8 GB SD card in this system since the early 2010s. The DSI is in VERY good condition and I even still have the original small pen.
The one thing I do is worth mentioning as possible lost media is have the vast majority of "The Super Mario Broz Movie," by a user that was called $RON4LD$™ on the SD card on this DS.
I have all 32 parts of the first series, but unfortunately I am missing a large part of the sequel. I have parts 18-43, which is when $RON4LD$™ changed the style of the series. I'm missing 1-17 of the sequel. This is a series that has always massively inspired me as a storyteller and an artist ever since I first found it back then.

At the very least, PLEASE TELL ME ONE OTHER PERSON REMEMBERS THIS. This was probably the single most POPULAR series on the online servers back then. I hope it's already archived, but I've never been able to find the whole thing ever again after hadena shut down despite trying my hardest. I hope there's at least one person out there looking for it, too!
