And it was several years in the past, I have this idea for this videogame. With a form of little picture. With white lines it is drawn a labyrinth. And you walk it as with the cells. And you have machinegun, automatic rifle in your hands. Or flamethrower. As in a movie – the thing.
And you are at the frozen arctic station. Some monsters. As Resident Evil. You open the door, just the way it was with first Resident Evil. So open a door - it is whole standalone action. Fragment of game.
And some monsters, virus, aliens, mystics. Something is going on. Experiments in the ice. Scientists did not take into account something. And main feature – only two colors – blue and white. Blue – it is background. And white – it is with lines to draw everything. As with computers from 80s.
And now, I start development of this game. Well, of course, it has some difference from idea, that was in my head. This is now as a text quest. With spirit of previous title – near the shore. And it will have a test part. With digits. When you answer 1,2,3. And it will affect for next text screen.
And most hard part – it is three dimensional, pseudo three dimensional labyrinth. With game scenes. Labyrinth will load from file. And file has a special structure. And now I load only cells by themselves, that they exists. I detect, I load cell. And I can show it as a main map view.
Also, it is drawn interface. Not full. And only example of how it will be. Now it is not complete with actions and objects.
So, there are here ammo. And schematical gun. And in the right corner – something like game score. It is like Zork. For going next. And for some actions you receive score.
So, because of , this is a game from the head. By the picture. By the idea. So it has lots of things to do. It is looks like a big scale project. And, by the way, it looks, like very retro. And nothing special. Some map. Some text. In the end, it is developers log.
If with first attempt – I pay more attention to the story. So I made in someway. So, now, it is second attempt. And I take more time for programming. And to solve lots of problems. What the way it will be loaded from file. Which format. I need to invent all the things. And only after this – to programming.
Now, you can see your first labyrinth. And you will walk there. And do something. And text part of the game. And this way I plan it from the beginning, this visual form, you see now. And with this components it will be all the game.
I was in need to change screen mode. With 12. With 640 at 480. Well, with 320 at 200 it is not enough for show text. Well, I do my best, to write text with fragments not big size. But, anyway, that screen resolution was not enough. So now it will be window bigger size.

Mysterious story. Text quest. You find yourself at the shore. This is island. From one side - it is ocean. Blue sea. And, from other side – it is forest. And, you are walking the sand beach. Read text. And do actions. There are not a lot of them. With every game scene, you need to do something. And, reading the text, you learning the story. Sometimes, you can go in a different way. But, story is linear.
You find out yourself at the shore. Sand. Yellow sandy beach. Sandy line, it is going far in a distance, along the island. And ocean. Blue light blue sea. Blue sky. Bright sunny weather. Deeper to the island – it is forest. And, you are with wide sandy line.
Text story, as old games. Where you need to read text and write commands with actions. There are not a lot of actions here. And story is not very long. Some places, you can turn to the different directions. And, anyway, story is linear. Everything will be going to a key point.
Little of actions. A direction of move. And some actions. North, south, west, east, speak, take, use, list. Mainly, commands with directions. And little of items.
Decoration is so blue. And so sunny. You are at the island, and going along sand. Sea – big sea from one side. And blue sky. In a bright sunny day. True huge ocean. And sand. And, you walk with it. Mysterious story.
I dream, for a long time, to make some text quests. With a simple form. To have some background. And text. And simple commands. And, it can to be most different stories. I like to have a dreams and to write. Of course, I watched, also, how it is to play very first Zork. But, I have here not a Zork, absolutely, of course. Much more simple. Zork - it is, well known, text quest. It is very complicated about realization. And, I have everything simple.
Beach and sand. Yellow sand. You are walking along the sand. Ocean makes a noise nearby. It is so endless and blue. And sky. Cloudless sky. This is a text story. And you write your commands. For example, north. This means go to north. Or south. This means go to south. And it will be written with text. For the south you see a road, for example. This means, by story, you need to go to south. Little game is linear.

You need to collect shells, which are all over the place.
There are moments, which you can to lose. For example, you can be drowning in a swamp. There is one place – where you do not need to go. It will be immediately game over. Dangerous dark place. And there are places, where if you do not have shells, so you never go next. And game will over. Or without some item. Stick, for example. So, there is here such a spiral stick. With patterns. Sometimes, you need to use items. To go right to next scene. Other case, in a next, it will be - game over for you.
It looks all like Norton Commander for Ms Dos. Blue background. At the low part – commands, which you can write. And text. And you write your command. There are scenes, where you need just to read – there is command next, in those scenes. Only one is shown.

Most long running project reach its final. Freezing is completed. Well, it should to be. Unfreezing. Today it is a summer at the street! This is text quest with turn based walk along labyrinth with view from the eyes.
And you perform actions there. Open door, shoot monster, take item. As quest. In other time – it is reading text. There are lots of it here. Everything is with blue color. To feature the freezing point.
At the last moments. I correct the text. There are lots of it here. It is divided with files. Well, in environment QB64, that symbol for comma, that I write, it is works as symbol to go to a new line. Yes, there is another symbol for comma. But I do not change it. With idea not to make complex. I take decision to go to finish line. And not to enter another tasks. So symbol comma I delete. And someplace it is dot. Or nothing at all.
So a final phase, I spent lots of time for format text. So, it is a lot of text, as I see it now. And long. Such routine. It is also spent some time. And everything is going to final.
I fix some bugs. So, I take a decision to make it to final. Long time development. I already have lots of ideas what to do next. And with this development, I take a decision to finalization. To go to final.

At last game is completed! It was long time project! Text quest. And labyrinths.
Read text – it is like story. Sometimes as a test. You can select something. And labyrinth – it is walk like retro role playing game. With view from the eyes. Lots of actions with items. You need to enter the rooms. Shoot monsters. This part takes most of time in walkthrough.
As a point. Here it is 20 min of gameplay. And this is already almost final. But I someplace forget the flamer. And cannot go next without it. Different monsters can be killed with certain weapon!

There is a place in a story for action movie, uncertain and horror. And lots about explore. Virus. Mutations. Monsters. And exploration. And in the end. Snow. Lots of snow. Station is destroyed. And everything is in the snow. Hero is going away into snow day. Everything is white. And everywhere it is snow. Cold. It is Arctic.
Frozen. This means development of the game. It is going to the ending phase. It was a long duration frozen. So this means development.

Main part with programming is done. Everything done. Labyrinth works. It functions well. Everything is with code. And all buttons are possible to use.

To complete labyrinth you need to point with exit. And there it will check for actions. You need to take all items in labyrinth, which are coded there. Use items, if there is code to use them. And interact with objects, which are in code for level. Take weapon it is not necessary condition to go next. But when it will be a monster, some place forward. Player simply cannot go through monster. Monster is like obstacle. And you need weapon to go forward. So you need also take weapons in labyrinth.
You need to enter the rooms. And read description. So at first it goes room description. For interest. And next, if there are items or objects, so it is written. In the end. Take item. Use item. Interact with object. Take weapon. All of these is with description for the room. For example. Under the paper it is a diskette. I think. It is useful item. And so you awaken. And nothing is here. You are walking the labyrinth. And you try to remember. Scientists did some experiments. They did not calculate something. They worked with some virus. It was taken from ice. Or mold. Something about biological material, something about this. No idea. And next it happened crash. Evacuation. Everyone is going to exit.
