I just finished the Notre Sagesse chapter where you get Elise so I thought I'd give a little progress report!
So far, so good! I got a shit ton of S supports since my last report! Now I have Takumi and Oboro married, Hana and Hinata married, and Saizo and Kagero married!
Their S support is sooooo sweet
And they always reminded me of that one high school sports couple for some reason lol. Very volleyball girl x football boy. I've mentioned it before but they were one of my first ships in the game because they were both Samurai and I really liked the hair color that Hana gave to Hisame lol (I don't even like Hisame all that much haha) (also I CAN FINALLY BENCH THESE 2 WEAK ASSES LET'S GOOOO they were having a mid-off this ENTIRE run but I had enough slots to just waste time with them lol)
I didn't get a picture of Saizo and Kagero's, but as I've said before, I really like their support line because of just how unique their bond is with each other. And everything in it really just flows super naturally and I like that. Brunette Asugi is also fun!!!
I also went and recruited Dwyer because I needed an extra map for support routing haha. I'm not gonna use him at all, but I find it really funny that I was able to pass down Trample to him. Early servant level 15 skills go brr I guess. I also really like this hair color on him tbh. I did this because I just like Mikoto's hair on Corrin best, but black also just fits for Dwyer really well. Not even just for the L joke, but also just because his whole outfit is super dark toned. I also snagged the Friendship Seal from this map, which is super helpful because Friendship Seals are my most contested resource in this run lmfao.
Currently I'm working on some more supports to get out of the way before the Valla arc hits. Attentive viewers might've noticed a few reclasses I did - Oboro into Archer and Selena into Wyvern Lord. Oboro actually has all of her supports done now, which is SO helpful (she got S support with Takumi and A+ support with Beruka). And right now she's at Level 19 with 55 exp. My thinking as that if I give her the Partner Seal now, she can grab Skill +2 on Level 20, then promote to Kinshi for one level to get Quick Draw (where she can go back to Lances), and then Friendship Seal her into Wyvern Lord for the rest of the game (well, I'll put her into Malig for 2 levels in late game for Trample). And Selena also hasn't leveled up once - both a blessing and a curse. But basically she just needs 20 exp until she gets Strength +2, and then she can just work on S supporting Laslow for the rest of the game.
Jakob and Takumi is a support that's getting to be lowkey frustrating lol, since Takumi's been Oboro's glorified backpack for the past 6 maps, so they've had no time to get friendships online. They're close though. I'll likely do a Challenge map or 2 and then maybe a Paralogue (in addition to 15), because Leo joins immediately after that and I can't waste any time on that support (because I WILL be babying Leo into getting those Archer skills the MINUTE he gets unlocked for me). Maybe I'll go get Shigure and then do 16, because Jakob and Takumi can workshop 16 before Leo joins in 17.
Camilla is also free of her duties for 2 maps until I (of couse) get both her A+ and her S on functionally the same map. The plan is to work on Caminoka in Chapter 16 and then Caminiles in Chapter 17 and hope they both get to C. Camilla's hit rates do lowkey suck on this route, but also I plan to put her in Bows anyways so I'm not worried about her. She can get Lucky 7 if it becomes a problem, but it's Camilla. Come on. She's also leveling up FAST. Faster than Selena and they're functionally on the same level curve (level 10 promoted)
Oh also Sakura is one level away from getting Rally Speed. The Falcon Knight drag has been absolute hell because she hardly does damage. But she has no hit rate problems whatsoever, which I IMMENSELY appreciate lol. I've kinda just had Kaden strapped to her back for the past 3 maps lmao. I also last minute decided to do Mozu/Keaton for the pair up bonuses, which she LOVES. she's also super close to Level 20, and once she is I'm promoting her into Kinshi for the flight for sure. Why did I never think to train Mozu before? She's REALLY good. Speaking of Kinshi, I already have so many units in it, but lowkey I might throw Jakob in there when I get his support with Takumi, just because his speed is genuinely so pitiful lmfao. Oh, and the Orochi build is also going great. She's lowkey getting really good levels now.
We made it to this map which means we got the Camilla Crew! I also got Rally Magic on Sakura and wanted to show her off so take a look at this beauty!
For that first map, it was interesting? Kinda tough because of the constant terrain problems and those goddamn traps (that Kaze couldn't disarm for some reason???), but I did beat it! I also did start my Orochi crack build. Her level ups have been shit but so far she's nowhere near as bad as I expected tbh.
Also I am now a huge fan of Saizo/Kagero as a ship. It was already my favorite for both of them because of their shared history, but he was SO hellbent on making sure she was safe and okay in this chapter. I ship it. Also they have a fast support so getting them up to S is not hard at all lmfao
I did also get Azura and Kaze married! Super easy, I didn't get a picture but just trust me haha. So Kaze is now benched lol. Speaking of benching after an S support, I've also been grinding up Hana and Hinata's support ranks and these guys are USELESS omg. Hinata's a little bit better just because he's got a bit more strength, but he's still so minimally useful that I honestly just grind supports by having him throw Parasols for chip damage and then having Saizo or Kagero doing a little more chip and then just giving the kill to Mozu lol. 3 way benefit.
I did Chapter 12 this morning... So Camilla is lowkey scary if you aren't on her side 😭
This map took me a really long time because I wanted to support grind (and overall unit grind) on it, but I think it was worth it! Right now I really love Takumi and Oboro's fighting style together, for the same reasons I love using Camilla and Niles together. Oboro can attack from one range and if she doesn't finish somebody off, then Takumi will clean it up. Super nice. Also the Fujin Yumi is super cracked, but also I always get scared when I use it because I use it to chip enemies down for others, and if he hits the crit then it goes to him instead lmfaooooo. Not that it's horrible, but I have bigger plans for units like Mozu and Oboro that would prefer the exp, since I think Takumi's last mission in this run is to just get friendship with Leo and then get benched. I'm sorry bro I promise to use you next run you just don't fit in my plans 😭
I also spent like 10 minutes trying to figure out how to feed Sakura the Flora kill so that I could immediately start Chapter 13 in Falcon Knight. And I got it!!! Savage Blow is seriously a lifesaver skill lol (not a Lifetaker, that's Leo)
I also did a Challenge map just a minute ago for a bit more support points lol.
Also I've been picking the stupidest names possible for my forged weapons so I wanted to show off one of my favs. I named Selena's sword after that one Tiktok audio ("what do you mean, 'I don't know'?????"). Others include the Iron Bow I forged for Mozu named "Shoot4DaStarz", the Iron Katana I forged for Hinata named "StudiedBlade", and the Iron Axe I forged for Jakob during a thought block and just named "Axe."
I also early promoted Selena because I want her to have use if I'm gonna grind supports with her and Camilla lol. I could also do Beruka obviously but Camilla currently has no support obligations (Hinoka and Niles join in a little while), and Beruka actually does have support obligations for once with Oboro. Luckily, Oboro and Takumi are about to hit S support, which makes it kinda perfect haha. Basically, we're about to get 3 more kids online (Kiragi, Hisame, Asugi), 2 more support lines just started (Sakura/Kaden and Mozu/Keaton), and we already have 4 kids (Kana, Dwyer, Midori, Shigure!). After those, we only have what, 4 more mandatory marriages? Leo/Nyx, Camilla/Niles, Hinoka/Subaki, and Selena/Laslow? I would also love to do Ryoma/Rinkah and Xander/Charlotte (AKA the OT4), but that depends on time constraints and just how tedious that would get for me lmfao (especially since I'm not using Ryoma and Xander this run). Also Hinoka/Subaki isn't required but I want Caeldori lol. Astra on Hinoka is also redundant but could maybe be fun
I figured I didn't wanna clog up my whole blog with just Revcation, so I went a few chapters ahead and figured I'd just do one big long review of everything so far
So, I just finished the Snow Shovel map, which means I got Takumi and his group! We're finally starting to get an army this is amazing!
I've done 4 maps now since my last post. Mozulogue, some random Challenge map, Fuga's Mild Ride, and the Snow map. As you can also see, I reclassed Jakob into a Malig Knight, Mozu into an Archer, and Sakura into an Onmyoji! I actually did all of these before Chapter 9 lol.
Basically, the Mozu paralogue was an excuse for me to make some feeble attempt to train up Hana and Subaki. I was like "oh Hana has a 70% Strength growth she can't be as awful as everyone says!" And uhh...
Yeah she's as awful as everyone says. So I spent like 800 years grinding her and Subaki up to like Level 6 or something so that I could have them be more competent on Chapter 9 (because I've read that they both suck ass on that map). And after ALL of that training they both did 0 damage against 99% of the enemies. Wow. What a worthwhile training arc. I'm sad too because I really like Hana's design, she's like if Sumia was a Myrmidon, but goddamn she has like no strength. She just became Jakob's speed backpack and Subaki became Sakura's backpack/glorified flight bot. And Rinkah just existed while the others did all the work on that map.
I also mentioned Onmyoji Sakura. Basically, I wasn't able to weapon or level grind on the Mozulogue boss, but what I COULD do was staff grind Sakura on it. So basically what I did was just keep letting Subaki get hurt by him, Shelter him, transfer him out, and then have Sakura heal him, in a VERY tedious process until I got her to Level 10, at that point of which I early promoted her and called it a day.
But my MVP amidst all of this was Mozu, who was just as good as I expected her to be. Maybe better than I expected tbh. Kinda like in Conquest, she has a shit ton of room to farm for exp and kill enemies. And her level ups are INSANE
This was just on her own paralogue, but she has continued to get near-perfect level ups this whole time. And I just got Quick Draw on her on the Snow map, so she has even MORE Strength than normal. She's already at C rank in Bows you can't make this shit up. I am now a Mozu fan through and through. Her training arc wasn't even annoying it was actually kinda fun.
And for the snow map itself, I also kinda had fun on it. It'll likely become more tedious in the future, but it was a fun training arc for Mozu and Jakob (and for grinding lance rank on Corrin), and I got a shit ton of really good items out of it, so that's awesome too! Jakob as a Malig Knight was kinda disappointing initially, but a few level ups later he's now got an Iron Axe +2 and Strength +2 and now he's actually really good. So that's awesome! (I chose Malig Knight bc it has the same Strength growth as Wyvern Lord and getting fast access to Savage Blow and Trample is much appreciated. Having 2 Savage Blow users is WONDERFUL for grinding) I do wish I could be using Sakura more, but since I early promoted her she's exp sponging with Corrin so a lot of my kills are going to Mozu and Jakob rn. Also since Kaze joined earlier than I expected him and Azura have been grinding supports via the sing command like always (I always call it "Kaze barricades at the Azura concert in the corner of the map")
And I got a little surprise at the end of Chapter 10...

I really didn't think that Leo and Takumi had as much homoerotic tension as they actually do. 99% of how they talk to and about each other just reads like an enemies-to-lovers story. Like you guys are 8 inches away from kissing rn aren't you. He did NOT need to be that specific lmfao he could've just said "oh yea the archduke's in there with takumi"
Anyways that's the recap!!! I think the plan next is to maybe grind supports on Challenges? Specifically Hinata and Hana. I really like them together, and as much as I kinda don't need the pairing and nor do I really give a shit abt Hisame, but extra paralogue might be nice and I kinda have time to waste. But also idk. Is it worth it??? Also I only have one S support online rn but we're gonna get our 2nd and 3rd soon, since Kaze and Azura have an A support and Takumi and Oboro just joined and they have a fast support.
I have kind of a concept of a plan here. Basically if I do this now I can wait 6 hours for MyCastle to refresh. And in theory, this means Private Quarters is open again. I can try to get Jakob to come in, which is another support point, grind supports up in Mozu's paralogue, and then perchance I can get Private Quarters to open again so that they have S support before Chapter 9. Since I'm not doing Wyvern Gunter, I think another flier would be nice to have, henceforth why I'm gonna try and get Wyvern Jakob online like... ASAP if I can. Invasion 1 is also available if worst comes to worst
The level itself wasn't that hard. Just kinda me getting in range on enemies to lure them in and then killing them on Player Phase tbh. I had fun! Yukimura was an enemy I had to chip down to defeat but honestly it wasn't that bad I dodged one of his attacks and just had to make sure I was at one range on enemy phase so that I wouldn't get shot down w/ the Iron Yumi. Orochi and Saizo were also painfully easy to defeat.
After that Saizo decided to go Birthright Flora mode and light himself on fire. Why is he doing too much /hj
AND WE GOT SAKURA!!! Yay!!!! I love her she's so sweet. She's gonna be the best utility bot you guys have ever seen trust me.
Also I spent the 2500 on a Heart Seal and a Bronze Bow. Guess who's deciding to train up Mozu at the last minute... (okay so I really wanted to wait to do it on Conquest but tbh I'm finding that I'm lower on the amount of trainee units early on than I likely need so I'm gonna have her be one of them lol). I also need to spend another 2500 soon for Jakob but like... *sigh* oh well I guess. I should probably count my seals tho soon just to be safe on all my builds haha. If you haven't already guessed I'm doing Mozulogue next so that I can train up Mozu and Hana and Subaki (and hopefully Kaze)
Also I didn't know I got Kaze after this map so I can get him and Azura married faster now lol
I did get started on Rev yesterday lol. So meet Corrin guys! She's just like a regular Corrin, only she has Mikoto's hair color and I made her into a Dark Falcon

Overall, Chapter 6 was not hard at all. Initially it was, just because I had no idea wtf I was doing, tried going around, and got one shot by Ryoma, but I searched up strategies online and found a 2 turn clear somebody posted to Reddit 10 years ago and that worked perfectly. So thank you to that person. Oh yeah I forgot to mention I had to do the start on Lunatic lmfao. Actually I don't think I switched it for Chapter 7 either... chat do we think I can do this on Lunatic until it gets too hard?
For Chapter 7, I routed the whole thing so that I could get all the chests (initially I only got 3 but then realized there were 3 more). I mostly just used this to train up Corrin's tome rank and get some attacks/kills in with Jakob too, and just having Azura sing one or both of them until I killed everything. There were some pretty scary Archers in some of the rooms, which was bad for my Corrin because she's a flier now lol, but I could just pair her either into Jakob or have him take the hit and have her do a dual strike. Also Gunter will be doing no combat in this entire run. I know a lot of people say "oh reclass him to Wyvern he's good for early game then" but frankly I'm not wasting a heart seal on someone with no supports and a 20% strength growth who's just going to fall off anyway. On that topic I honestly have no idea what I'm gonna do with those Heart Seals. One of them is confirmed going to Sakura, but not until she hits Level 5 in Onmyoji (and then she'll never leave it, ahh yes I love me a good easy build). Soleil also needs one of them. How many heart seals do you get pre-Level 3 shops in Rev lol
I nearly went for a Strength based Corrin build at the last second, but honestly I feel like I can do that whenever I want, and I'm letting this run be the opportunity where I treat it like Awakening and over grind units and put them in the DLC classes, since I kinda can't do that in Conquest. And also it annoys me when people just go for the default answer when they had an interesting idea so I'm gonna stick to my word and continue to use this Corrin! Also I don't currently have a picture bc I couldn't get one, but I got Texture Comp working again and Corrin is absolutely dripped tf out in this class, she has a whole unique pegasus and her outfit is almost like if you combined Arete and Aversa's outfits. If anyone was wondering I also modded in the hair color. If u don't wanna do that Avatar color 21 is the closest option, but if you have FEFTwiddler you can change the color!
I'm also like... actually reading the story for this run. I always do my first playthrough! People tend to say that Rev has a bad story, but I'm in the boat of "it is VERY hard for me not to like something and as long as I'm having fun, I typically really love things. Like 99% of the movies I love are objectively shit but they made me laugh so I still watch them anyway (not Knives Out though. That's a masterpiece in cinema period and if you disagree ur just wrong)
Anyways, I'm hoping??? I can do Chapter 8 and Mozu today?? Also crazy idea but what if I train Mozu lmfao. I have no plans for Keaton currently but even if I don't get them married he can be a good temporary Strength pair up for her. But also I like Mozu/Keaton, it's a sweet support so maybe I do let them S support. I don't plan on getting all the kids tho this run lol. That's a future me thing. But I digress. I'm hoping I can get some more done today because. I'm honestly having a lot of fun already. But also as I mentioned in my last post I have a job interview today so I might be worn out after that and I'll just end up watching some bullshit and then falling asleep at 8 (I woke up at 5 today lol thanks Slaycation's evil orange cat)
