Arabian nights

so i had to summarize an arabian night tale for school. this is what i did

A story within a story within a story

So Dude bro, Who's name is Alnaschar, gets a hundred bucks. So he goes out and spends it all on these glass pieces and plans to sell them. While he waits for people to buy them, he accidentally thinks out loud how this is gonna make him rich, and he's going to marry the daughter of the grand-vizir. Then he continues, saying how he's gonna emotionally and physically abuse his beautiful wife for no apparent reason, and then he accidentally kicks his basket of glass over and everything breaks.

Alnaschar is sorrowful and stuff, and the dude in the stall next to him is laughing because he heard Dude Bro narrating his plan and stall dude tells Alnaschar deserves his fate because he planned to treat his wife so horribly.

So some rich lady is riding by on a donkey, see's Dude Bro crying and she tells her servant to give Alnaschar all the money he has. so Alnaschar gets 500 bucks. Then he goes home, and later, there's this old woman at the door asking him if she can use his house to pray so he lets her in. when she finishes praying, she thanks him and he notices that she has these old ugly raggy clothes on, so he offers her two coins. She refuses, because she says she has a lady master who's more than enough rich. Then she offers to take Alnaschar to her master and he can marry her for helping the old hag.(random?????)

So he stows his 500 coins under his robes and follows her and Whoop wouldja look at that it was a scam. So this huge black dude comes in and takes his money and cuts him up like a piece of sushi and then a slave comes and rubs salts in his wounds, and Dude Bro does something smart. He PLAYS DEAD.

Well playing dead works, even though salt being rubbed into your wounds hurts like a b*tch and he has to internally scream the entire time, and they dump him in this dead people pit they have in their house. So he stays there for two days, recovering from his wounds until he can escape. eventually he gets out under the cover of night and waits till day brake and he escapes to his bro's house.

REVENGE PLOT.

SO He's a little pissed off that this old chick stole his money. He goes and pretends to be this rich old lady who needs a scale to count her money. Except, instead of money, he has a sword. And death. and revenge. Old chick says her son has a scale and is good at money counting. Thus, Little old lady chick takes him to the same house as before, and brings out the black dude as her son. So the dude takes the disguised and pissed off Dude Bro to the back and Alnaschar just chops off the black dudes head. Now there's a body he needs to get rid of so Dude Bro takes the body and the head to the dead guy pit and throws it in. well the salt slave sees this so he has to kill her too. And then the old lady chick see's him and he kills her.

So the aforementioned rich lady master is somewhere in the house completely oblivious that her crew has been killed, and he finds her and she's terrified. She begs for her life and says she was forced to do this scam stuff. HE BELIEVES HER. And she takes him to the vault full of sweet gems and riches. So he leaves to get guys to come carry this stuff out and wouldjalookatthat she left and all the money is gone. So he steals her furniture instead, and forgets to lock the doors when he leaves which then, for some reason, alerts the neighbors that he's a thief. Like, a non thief would lock the doors after there's nothing inside???what if a thief locked the doors after he left?

He gets taken to court, and instead of being killed for his crimes, he manages to convince the judge guy to let him live. Well judge guy does, but kicks him out of the city for good. Alnaschar is now walking away from the city and BAM HE GETS ROBBED OF HIS CLOTHES AND ANYTHING ELSE HE HAS. So his bro comes and picks him up and sneaks him into the city and then takes care of him.

What I don't get is why didn't Alnaschar just take the judge to the house and show him the pit of bodies???? Like, case closed, he's a free man and he gets to keep his revenge furniture.

When they receive a compulsory team building exercise in an escape room, they all dutifully turn up eager to show off their competitive sides. When when the AC switches off along with the lights and the time ticks past 70 minutes, they know this is no ordinary escape room. Who will make it out alive?

I loved the alternating POV on this cautionary tale of workplace opportunism and greed gone wrong. As someone who works in corporate America, this definitely resonates and it was easy finding myself siding with Sara and even frustrated by her blind allegiance to the company. I recommend this for those looking for an unconventional corporate thriller.

***WEDNESDAY REVIEW*** I HAD FEELINGS AND THEY WERE GOOD ONES! One of my bestest friends suggested I watched this, and I did, and I loved it. The plot line is revenge, with a Long Island Ice Tea kind of mix. Every sip is a different flavor of crazy. You’ll see at least ONE familiar actor and be ready to have your gut punched right when you think everything is working out. I am also a fan of her nail polish. Adding on to this, I have been in the brain fog this character is in. You become engrossed and obsessed with one thing, or like in my case, nothing at all. Others continue to say there is something desperately wrong with you, but you either remain fixated or go full on self destruction. I enjoyed it. Let me know if you have a movie you’d like me to watch.
