Look, this is a sensitive topic for me. Last year, I had someone ruin my desire to finish a WIP I was once very passionate about. Any time I updated something else or put up a one shot, I’d get a review from them telling me that I was “taking on too many projects” and I wasn’t thinking of them, basically that I owed it to them to update that particular WIP. It got to the point that I hated the story and didn’t wan to work on it anymore. I eventually edited it to a Christmas mini-series, but I won’t ever be able to write the original fic again because of this person.

It’s not fair to do to another author. It personally gives me such an anxiety when people demand things from me and I’m no longer that nice about it. Which may make me a bitch, but I don’t care anymore. I have enough in my day to day life that I have to do and have no choice on. Fic is the one thing I have a choice on. I take prompts, but I do them if I feel the muse.

I just don’t want fic writing to become a chore. It’s fun for me and I want it to stay that way.
