My revision planner (plus some diary entries)
I created a Revision planner (using excel’s Donut chart).
I’m hoping to use this format to prepare me for medical school this year, once i start my revision days, I would need structure, a consistent routine and ultimate discipline to get the most out of studying while taking convenient breaks.
I prefer using the donut chart over a regular planner, as it demonstrates a 24 hour chart with reoccurring routines for a generic day-to-day revision plan.
Each Revision period has line-breaks, this identifies the number of times i could take breaks within the 2-3 hours of revision.
After learning how out attention span works, I set up 20 mins of reading/note-taking then followed by a 5 min break, this continues till i reach a meal-time or a longer break. This would improve my efficiency while actively learning a module without losing my attentiveness for detail.
Efficiency is key to speed up the time it takes for me to retain the most information without burning out, because revising 6-8 hours straight is just not conventional and should explain why people fail after hours of studying their hearts out.
Below is a table of my routine in detail.
