I’m officially 1 day post revision top surgery. I had my dog ears removed yesterday by Mr Kneeshaw and his team. Everyone was lovely and really helped to relax me. I was quite worried about having local anaesthetic as I’ve never had it before, it did hurt to have the injections but afterwards it was fine.
I didn’t see anything during the procedure, Mr Kneeshaw did talk me through what was happening to make sure I couldn’t feel more than him pushing and pulling my chest (I couldn’t). It literally took 30 mins. After surgery I was checked over and left, it was so quick!
The covers to stop me seeing the procedure did get stuck onto my right arm pit hair which was a pleasure to get off!
Mr Kneeshaw did take off some of my fat in the area where my dog ears were, that smelt really bad! When I went to get off the operating table they hadn’t quite finished cleaning up and I saw some of it on one of it tables!!!
I’m back home now, got to say I’m glad to be on the recovery road again. This surgery at the moment is hurting more than the original and I struggled to sleep.
I’ve bled quite a bit on my right side and a little on my left, I was a bit worried about the right side, but it seems to have stopped now and was the bigger side.
