You know, when you think about it, Azula really did trust her friends with her life. Like Ty Lee could literally take her bending away (making Azula vulnerable) if she decided to stab her in the back and Azula still trusted her not to. Really shows how caught off guard and surprised she was at the betrayel. Azula honestly didn't see it coming and that's kind of heartbreaking.
