Hi! I do incorrect quotes, head canons and analysis! Mostly I work with the Avatar, Kpop demon hunters, She-Ra, Owl House, Avengers and DC fandoms. AO3 - Comicgeek20
Rumi desperate for de aged Celine to like her bribes her with sweets, only to realize her mistake when the sugar rush hits and Celine is literally bouncing off the walls, she’s also running on them.
Thought it’d be funny if young Celine still has the hunter abilities of her older self but doesnt know how to use/control them.
Hi anon!!!
I fully believe Rumi would try to bribe Celine. Celine’s, at first, scared to have the candy because she’s worried someone is going to be mad and she hasn’t been good enough to get chocolate. But Rumi manages to convince her and Celine, who probably hasn’t had a lot of sweets before (as a kid she wasn’t allowed them and as an idol she really wasn’t allowed them) just starts bouncing off the walls.
At first, Rumi would probably keep herself calm by reminding herself that it’s a normal sugar rush. Celine will get hyper for a while and then calm down and everything will be fine. Side note here but I think it would be interesting if, while hyped up on sugar, Celine talks more. She asks Rumi questions and talks about what she likes and rambles.
However, She’s not ready for celine to literally start running on the walls, using the honmoon to keep herself from falling and using it like a glue to stick to the surfaces.
“I WANNA GET DOWN!!” - Celine, on the ceiling with no idea how she got up there or how to get down.
I’m curious if you have any other ideas for what Hunter abilities Celine would have, anon. From the movie, Celine would have enhanced durability, healing and the ability to conjure her weapons but I wonder if that could be extended.
Anyways, I think this idea is hilarious and would definitely result in Celine having a massive crash out or getting sick which either way would allow Rumi and little Celine to bond a bit.
ON THE SUBJECT OF RUMI NOT KNOWING HOW TO DEAL WITH A TRAUMATIZED 6 YEAR OLD, I just had an eeeeeeeevil idea
The penthouse has this one staircase that's perfectly safe for adults, but would be extremely dangerous for a little kid to play on. One of the first hard and fast rules they set for Celine upon finding out about the spell is that she cannot, under any circumstances, go up or down those stairs without one of them or Bobby present.
Celine is a good listener, for the most part, but every kid is going to make mistakes sometimes. So, when she's absentmindedly wandering the penthouse, she starts climbing up those stairs. As soon as they see her, Rumi rushes over, grabs Celine and brings her back down.
"What the hell happened?" She asks, "I thought we told you not to go up those stairs without one of us with you?"
Mira and Zoey watch from the other side of the room. Celine just stares at the ground, hands twisting together behind her back (she knows she'll get in trouble if they see her fidgeting). She opens her mouth to try and explain herself, but as usual no sound comes out.
"Can you look at me when I'm talking to you?" She asks, in a tone that makes Mira and Zoey cringe, "are you even listening to me--" she reaches over to tilt Celine's head up, and Celine flinches in a way that makes Mira's stomach drop. Her head turns to the side and tucks towards her chest, her arms fly up and out over her head to protect herself, her knees buckle and her breath hitches. If you've ever been hit as a kid, you know the pose, and it's a posture Mira is intimately familiar with.
"Nope!" She snaps from the other side of the room, rushing over and dragging Rumi away into the kitchen, while Zoey makes her way over to scoop Celine off the floor.
"What?" Rumi looks up at her, confused and frustrated.
"Rumi..." Mira grips her shoulders, "you absolutely cannot do that."
"Do what?" Rumi looks genuinely bewildered, like she has no idea what just happened, "I just needed to make sure she was listening and she... I don't actually know what she was doing? Why did she fall over like that?"
Mira freezes, "you really don't know?"
"No?" Rumi shakes her head.
"Oh boy," Mira mumbles. Her eyes stay wide, but her overall expression shifts from scared and angry to just plain sad, "she thought you were going to hit her."
"What?" Rumi's mouth goes dry and her eyes well up with tears, "but I--I didn't--I wouldn't--"
"I know," Mira pulls her into a hug, "I know you wouldn't hit her, but that doesn't change the fact that somebody did, and now she's hardwired to protect herself when an angry grownup makes a sudden movement like that."
Zoey steps into the room, "I think I got her calmed down, but you should probably still come talk to her."
Rumi nods, and goes to sit on the couch by Celine, where Zoey has her set up with a coloring book and some markers. Her movements are careful, tracing the outline of every shape before carefully filling it in in broad strokes, like she's afraid to leave any white spaces or color outside the lines (she doesn't want to get in trouble for wasting paper).
"Hey," Rumi says, crouching down beside her.
Celine doesn't respond verbally, but she pauses what she's doing and that's enough for Rumi to know she can hear her (she's going to get in trouble again. She's supposed to look at grownups when they talk to her. She's supposed to speak when spoken to but she just can't and now Ms. Rumi is going to--)
"I'm sorry," Rumi whispers, "I promise I am never, ever going to hit you. Ever."
Tears drip onto the paper below Celine, mixing with the ink and making colorful smudges (she's going to be in trouble for getting the paper wet).
"I'm gonna try not to yell either," Rumi continues, "I never want you to feel like I'm gonna hurt you. Grownups hurting kids is never okay, and as long as you're here you'll never have to go through that again."
Celine still doesn't look up. She wordlessly slides the box of markers to rest between them and goes back to carefully filling in the shapes.
"You want me to color with you?" Rumi confirms, grabbing a blue marker once she sees Celine nod, and coloring in the tiger on the page.
Celine gasps, having picked the most sensible choices she could for everything else on the page-- green grass, brown tree trunks, red flowers, and a yellow snake hidden among the vines (she's not sure what color snakes normally are. She's going to be in trouble for getting it wrong).
"What?" Rumi chuckles, "who said tigers can't be blue?"
This isn't my best work by any means but oooooough I hope it conveys a fun dynamic here :)))
Hello @theamphibianmen !!!
Your writing is so good!!!! I know you said this isn’t your best work but I really liked how you wrote everyone and how you depicted the situation the girls find themselves in. To that end, I hope you don’t mind me adding in my own scene down below.
Celine pulled her stuffed cat close to her body as lightning slammed against the tower once more. She was supposed to be asleep, a good child slept through storms and didn’t get scared or want someone to hold her or—
BOOM!
Celine yelped and covered herself with her blanket. Fear was fighting against fear in her brain and the constant noises of the storm was only making her want more and more to escape her room and find shelter elsewhere.
A second large clap of thunder sent her bolting from her bed—cat still held tightly in her hands—and straight to the hallway. She scanned the hallway for a moment to try and figure out where she was supposed to go. Zoey always said her door was always open and, honestly, Celine really wanted to fall asleep in her pile of stuffed animals that she showed her.
She was just struggling to remember which door was Zoey’s.
Slowly, Celine walked down the hallway, peering at the doors to try and remember where exactly she was supposed to go. Finally, she came to one door and her eyes narrowed. This door felt familiar. She felt like she’d been here before. Celine hoisted herself onto her tip toes and opened the door, slipping inside and rushing towards the bed with the sleeping hunter in it.
Only it wasn’t Zoey.
“Celine?”
It was Rumi. Ms. Rumi.
Celine’s eyes fell to the floor.
“Hey. What’s wrong? Did you have a bad dream?” Rumi asked, leaving her bed to kneel down beside Celine, “Did something happen to your cat?”
Celine didn’t respond.
She didn’t have to.
Another clap of thunder caused her to let out a yelp and bury her face in her stuffed cat. Realization fell over Rumi’s face.
“Oh. The storm, huh? Well, let’s see what we can do about that. Do you want to go get some milk and try to go back to bed?” Rumi asked.
Celine opened her mouth. No words came from her at first but she forced herself to say at least for, “….don’t wanna be alone.”
“I think we can arrange that. How about some chocolate milk and a movie and then we’ll see how you’re feeling then? Does that sound okay?” Celine still refused eye contact with the half demon and Rumi had no intention of pushing her. Not after what happened that morning. She waited. She waited 5 minutes for Celine to finally hold up a hand—a silent confirmation that she wanted to follow Rumi.
Rumi took Celine from her bedroom into the kitchen, pouring her a cup of milk and placing a straw inside. On her first day, Zoey had given Celine some chocolate milk—under the hope it would cause her to grow more comfortable—and Celine slipped some and cried. Ever since then, straws had been their go to when getting drinks.
“You know, when I was little, I was terrified of storms.” Celine didn’t reply but Rumi could feel her eyes on her, “My….caregiver would sometimes leave during them and I was always so scared that the storms would hurt her somehow. One night, I went to her in tears saying she couldn’t leave because there was a massive thunder and lightning storm coming and she needed to stay home. She pulled me onto her lap and told me a story. Do you want to hear it?”
Celine nodded in her chair. It was the polite thing to do.
“She told me about a mythical hunter who loved the rain more than any hunter who had ever come before her. She would dance and play in the rain like a fish in water. One day, she was out fighting with her fellow hunters and they happened upon a village in need of help. The three hunters fought strongly and they drove back the demons and saved the village, but, in the battle, that mythical hunter was lost.” Celine’s eyes grew, “Her fellow hunters continued on without her but during their next battle, the skies began to darken. They were sure it was more demons come to attack, but, instead, the sky boomed with light and sound. The lightning gave them sight to see the demons and the booms scared the demons away with their noise.”
“….the hunter sent the storms?” Celine whispered.
“She did.” Rumi nodded, internally celebrating her ability to get Celine to speak, “My caregiver said that storms are a hunters way of protecting one another and keeping each other safe. This storm is the hunters of the past protecting us and you from any demons. I know it’s loud and scary but the hunters up there are pretty old. They need it to be loud or they wouldn’t be able to hear it.” Celine giggled for half a second before slamming her hands over her mouth.
“Come on.” Rumi scooped Celine into her arms and took her towards the tv, “Let’s get a movie going and see if you got any sleep left in you.”
Ya ever think Rumi gets jealous that de aged Celine gets along with Zoey the best and even gets along with Mira more than her.
She knows she’s being unfair to them but it still hurts that her not mom bonds with others more than her.
Hi anon!!!
Oh, 100% she gets jealous. Especially if this is post movie when she’s trying to rebuild her relationship with Celine and something happens to de age her.
Like, Rumi’s been working months to talk to Celine again, for them to form a bond again, and it was starting to work. They weren’t a family from a cartoon but they were having dinners, talking again, going into the city to shop, they were on the right path.
And now little Celine can hardly look at her.
Little Celine bolts straight to Zoey. Only Zoey can pick her up for the first few days, only Zoey can convince her to leave her stuffed cat on the bed, only Zoey can make her smile. Rumi’s not upset that Celine is warming up to Zoey, far from it, it’s actually SUPER helpful to have someone Celine semi trusts now because it helps them keep her safe, but it hurts to see them all sitting down for a movie and Celine avoids her to go sit next to Zoey.
Mira being the second person that Celine trusts hurts too. Again, she’s not upset Celine trusts them, it’s good, but it hurts that it’s them and not her that Celine trusts. It hurts seeing Celine laugh with them and whisper inside jokes and make drawing with all of them in it and shove Rumi to the side.
That being said, there is one day, when Rumi is by herself in the kitchen, that Celine walks up and tugs at her to show her a new picture she drew. Rumi cleans her hands and readies herself to see another drawing of all of them where she’s in the house in the picture or off doing something important which is why Celine didn’t even draw her.
Instead, it’s her and Celine smiling and holding hands with Rumi’s patterns proudly displayed.
“I dreamed it” is all the explanation Rumi gets but it’s all the explanation she needs.
Even after Celine turns back, it still hangs proudly on the fridge and Rumi has no plans to take it down.
I do like the de aged Celine stories were Huntrix realizes that Celine is neurodivergent cause adult Celine is great at masking. I find it a cute way for her and Zoey to bond.
Hi anon!!!
I’d like to imagine that Zoey has the most knowledge on neurodivergence from growing up in the States/Burbank. She not only learned a little in school but she was also just around more people who probably outwardly admitted to being neurodivergent. Meanwhile, Mira and Rumi certainly know neurodivergence exists but they just don’t have the same experiences as Zoey stemming from a more isolated upbringing.
So when Celine has trouble with certain materials, struggles to look people in the eye or struggles with paying attention, Zoey is quick to pick up on what it means and adjust herself. Mira and Rumi would need to be told but they eventually figure it out.
Rumi: Celine? Celine, you need to put on a coat. It’s cold out. We don’t want you to get sick or be chilly.
Celine:….
Rumi: I’m going to count to 3. 1….2….
Celine: Hurts.
Mira: The coat hurts?
Celine: *Nods*
Zoey: OH!
Mira: Yes?
Zoey: Wait, Celine, does the fabric feel bad? Like when it touches your skin do you feel icky?
Celine: Icky?
Zoey: I mean….do you feel like you have ants crawling up you or shiver or want out of it as fast as possible?
Celine: Mmhmm.
Zoey: Ah, okay. Well, Rumi was right about you needing a coat outside, we don’t want you to be cold, so why don’t we look at some other coats for you to wear, okay? We can try to find one with cats on it. Like the ones you drew from France.
Okay I'm gonna bother you more about Celine deaged to around 6 and adult Rumi now because they make me so unreasonably emotional you have no idea
Just. Celine being so little and so confused and so scared. She wakes up in this big strange house with these three pretty ladies who somehow know her name and she wants to be a good kid and help them find her family but she's so scared she can't talk and the lady with the purple hair is mad at her because she's a bad kid and --
Rumi knowing Celine as this monolith of strength and independence slowly realizing that she's being too harsh with this poor scared little kid who thinks she's fundamentally unlovable. Realizing that Celine might not have done the best job raising her, but damn did she do good compared to what she had!
Hi @theamphibianmen !!!
First of all, I can never be bothered with de aged Celine. I don’t think it’s possible.
Second, Celine just really can’t catch a break can she???? That being said, I really like the idea of Celine not having a great childhood because I think it fits in nicely with another Headcanon the fandom has where Celine, when she was a sunlight sister, didn’t really think about having kids.
She didn’t have a great childhood herself, she doesn’t know how to parent, she doesn’t know how to properly raise a child in love and not end up like her mother so she refuses to subject any other kid to that. Things change when Rumi is born though and Celine swears to protect everything left of Miyeong, including Rumi. Celine doesn’t have a baseline for good parenting but she does her best to give Rumi everything she had wanted in her own childhood.
Third, I’m kinda curious as to why Rumi would be harsh? Not that I think it couldn’t happen but I’m wondering why she’s being so harsh with Celine when she knows her mentor/mother figure is currently 6 years old and practically hiding from everything.
Fourth and finally (I don’t know why these are numbered), I really like the idea that Rumi does have this picture of Celine as this unwavering hero figure so to see her suddenly small and terrified is a huge shock to Rumi. Even more of a shock is the fact that Zoey is the one who Celine bonds with the most, because she’s the only one who seems to understand Celine needs space and time and not questions and harsh voices.
Even when Celine first wakes up, having suffered a bad wound in a fight and been “healed” by the honmoon, de aged, it’s Zoey who offers her water and asks what she needs while Rumi and Mira are more trying to figure out how this happened and why Celine isn’t speaking/isn’t acting like…well, Celine.
I always liked the idea that although they ended on bad terms third and Celine still care for each other they are just to emotionally repressed to admit it.
So my idea Third vs Huntrix(specifically Rumi) for custody of de aged Celine. She still has the idea that Rumi is a danger to her and Celine being de aged is proof in her eyes.
Hi anon!!!
Okay! In a humor version, I love this!
Imagine Celine just de aged to like 5 or something without her memories. She doesn’t really know what’s going on but there nice girls around who give her good food and promise that she can go back to her maman very soon and Celine doesn’t really know the concept of stranger danger yet so she’s content to watch cartoons while they talk.
Third, I’m gonna call her Eun Ji cause that’s always her name to me, notices what happened maybe cause she felt a pull in the honmoon that Celine needs her help. She felt the honmoon get destroyed then put back together so she knows something is going on but never had the pull to return. Eun Ji decides to take this as a sign and heads over to Seoul
And prompts sees de aged Celine and instantly rushes over to make sure she’s okay and isn’t hurt or anything.
Celine has no idea why this new nice lady is angry at the girls or why she keeps calling the purple haired girl a demon or the other girls demon lovers but they both keep buying her toys and candy and letting her watch tv (which as a kid from the 70s Celine would find insane) so Celine’s pretty happy.
And in a serious version, I also love it!
Similar format where Celine is 5 but this time she has her memories and she’s trying to work with the girls as to how she can be returned back to normal when Eun Ji shows up. Instead though of trying to win her over with gifts and candy, Eun Ji would be forced to talk to her, to address the, as you said, emotional repression they both have.
They start to bond more and more because Celine is reminded of her past with Eun Ji, of a time when she was happier and more carefree, and Eun Ji is reminded of better times when she's playing with Celine. These two, in my head, knew each other when they were tenagers and they would probably have some fun with messing with people and reconnecting.
Meanwhile, Rumi, Mira and Zoey, especially Rumi, wouldn't see it that way. They'd see it as Eun Ji trying to convince Celine to hate them. She still views Rumi as a demon who hurt Celine so they're scared that Eun Ji could possibly convince Celine of that and then they'd lose her. Maybe it hasn't been that long since the events of the movie and Celine and Rumi were still in the process of trying to figure out where they go from here?
TW - Disturbing a grave (don’t know if this needs a TW but better safe than sorry)
Headcanon - If Asami had the opportunity to bury Korra, she had to do it somewhere hidden (so away from friends and family) because she didn’t want to risk someone disrespecting Korra’s grave.
Interesting thought that pops into my mind I don’t know if anyone else has written this but oops all demon Huntrix au merged with half-Gumiho Celine au. Just the angst/comfort potential of Celine finding out she’s half demon one day and now her students have to teach and guide her.
Hi anon!!!
Ohhhhh!!! I like this idea!!!
I'm assuming that, if they have to guide her, they were demons for a while before Celine found them. I'm gonna steal from my kid!demon Huntrix AU and say Mira is a gumiho demon as well, Zoey is a Dokkaebi demon (the same kind of demons from the plane scene in the movie) and Rumi is a mul gwishin demon (a water demon from the movie (someone correct me if I'm wrong)). Please, please, send another ask if I change this AU too much or you want to go in a different direction, this is just how I'm thinking of this. I was having trouble thinking of some angst moments at the end and I didn't want this post to get too long, so just send another ask if you want more of something.
Miyeong and the Third Sunlight Sister pass away from a demon attack in the early 2000s. Celine continues to hunt and sing but she's clearly more depressed and not doing so well so a lot of companies have trouble really trusting her as a consistent performer. Also, Celine's starting to hit her mid/late 20s and the Kpop Industry is turning to new talent (Celine does have her reputation which is why she's still pulling in concerts with amazing numbers but she knows it can't last forever) but this point which is just adding to Celine's worsening mental state.
During a hunt, Celine finds a group of demons kicking out a younger water demon, calling her useless and weak. Celine attacks the group but when she goes to the water demon, she's shocked to see the girl is just that: a girl. If she were human, she couldn't have been older than 6 or so. Celine also notices how dry her skin is and tells the demon to follow her. There's a small lake near Celine's hanok where Celine allows her to swim and instantly she takes to it, swimming around for hours before coming inside where Celine wraps her in a towel and asks her why the other demons treated her that way. She reveals that she doesn't want to steal souls and hates Gwi Ma and the other demons got mad at her and were going to leave her as bait for the demon hunter. Celine offers her a deal (mostly because she's incredibly lonely and has kind of just said 'screw it' to hunter rules after Miyeong and the Third Sister died): she can stay here and swim in the lake all she wants but she can't eat any souls and she has to wear a human disguise. Celine's never seen a water demon look so excited before.
Less than a week later, Rumi gets her name from a tv character.
A few years later, Rumi and Celine stumble across an orphaned pink gumiho trapped in a hunting net. Celine helps her down and extends the same offer to her and she agrees, confirming her name is Mira. A year after that, during a bad storm, a Dokkaebi demon arrives on Celine's doorstep and hands her her child, asking her to take care of her. Celine agrees to take in the girl just before her mom dies. That's how Zoey joins their group.
You might be asking: why doesn't Gwi Ma just force them to return like all the other demons? I think there are two reasons here: the first is that....they're kids. He has really nothing to gain from bringing them back to the underworld even if he could which gets to my second reason. That being that they didn't make a deal with him. They were born demons and, in the same way Gwi Ma has no control over Rumi in canon, I think he has no control over these kids here. He can hurt them if they get into the demon realm but otherwise he can do nothing and since Celine doesn't plan on letting any demons take them, he's out of luck.
Okay, that took way too long to get to the half-gumiho Celine part but I got here! Anyways, Rumi, Mira and Zoey had time as demons, they know about what they are and they know about what it means to be demons in the human realm. I imagine the reveal of Celine's gumiho side would come post Idol Awards so the girls are in Seoul and have already been selected by the honmoon and trained under it by Celine as well. Their relationship would probably be better with Celine but she still keeps a distance, so much so that Rumi is shocked to get a call from her one random morning almost begging them to come down to Jeju Island.
The three teleport there and when they arrive, they find Celine who is, very clearly, a gumiho at the moment. Mira, being one herself, acts first and she'd be...kinda hurt that Celine didn't tell her she was a gumiho too because Mira was so sure she was all alone. Celine tells them that she herself had no idea she was a gumiho.
Mira:....Really? Your parents never told you.
Celine: I never knew my parents. They abandoned me on the hunter's doorstep when I was a baby.
Zoey: That has horrifying implications.
Rumi: Putting that aside, for now, why is your gumiho half showing now?
Celine: I don't know! I just woke up and I had tails and ears. I only knew I was a gumiho because of all the books I read on them for Mira.
Mira: Your gumiho half wouldn't have shown up for no reason.
Celine: Well, your guess is as good as mine.
Despite having taken care of three demons, Celine is still not loving the fact that she's now a demon as well. She grew up thinking she was completely human so to now know that she's the very thing she's been hunting the whole time. It calls into question her mentors, her parents, her whole life, everything. Meanwhile, while Celine is having a midlife crisis, Rumi, Mira and Zoey are plotting the best way to teach Celine to be a demon in the human world. Celine saved them and took care of them, they want to return the favor. Plus, being hunters, they can't exactly just leave Celine and hope she doesn't accidentally consume a soul or something.
Also, the mental image of Celine and Mira in their regular fox forms just running and playing while Rumi swims in the lake and Zoey lounges in the sun is making me smile. Does this whole thing give Celine a lot of angst moments? Yes. Does that mean she can't enjoy gorgeous and lazy days with Mira, Rumi and Zoey? No.
Spoilers for Seven Havens (next Avatar show after Korra)
Okay so…..
Let me start out by saying that I am NOT an animation expert by any means. I really do only know whether or not it looks nice to me.
The backgrounds and fighting animation look gorgeous. They pop with color and it’s so fluid and beautiful. You can CERTAINLY see the difference in animation between this and Korra and ATLA, but I think most of that new money went to the backgrounds and fighting cause the people…..
Just isn’t it for me. They don’t look done. They have a sort of cheap look to them which made me think this was a fake YouTube animation at first. Also, the hair is purple, WHY IS THE HAIR PURPLE?!? (I’m letting this go now until the show comes out in October)
The voices are amazing. They sound gorgeous. I don’t have much to say on them because they don’t talk too much but Jae’s voice and Pavi’s do sound very nice and I can’t wait to hear them have more lines in the show.
Anyways, onto the show,
Yeah. This is clearly a flashback where Korra is portrayed as the bad guy but we’ll find out she isn’t and actually saved the world. Gotta say though, I LOVE the white in her hair and the fur outfit she has on. Really curious to see how they do this flashback.
There is going to be so much heart in this series! I can feel it! I don’t think it’ll be intense as Leaves from the Vine or anything but there is definitely going to be moments of everyone helping one another and coming together. And I love the hug scene right there because (according to further spoilers) Nisha (her sister) will be more standoffish and aggressive so I just know this scene will be tugging at my heartstrings.
PROTECTING YOUR SISTER FROM THE SPIRIT STORMS!!! Look at this baby! She is going her best!!
I really have nothing to say except I was right in my assumption that Geet (the cat monkey) will not be a transportation animal like Appa was. Geet is made for Pavi and Pavi alone because of her leg and to help her get around the city cause that’s where the show will take place. I am also suspecting that there will be a scene where Pavi loses her wooden leg and can’t follow the group and Geet jumps in and saves her.
I include this mostly cause it relates to a larger topic: tech. This world has tech. Now, I’m curious to see what they do with this because, on the one hand, I don’t think it’s impossible to say they’d have more advanced technology. Obviously, technology would continue to evolve, especially in times of peace, and new cars, methods of transportations, weapons, etc, would be created for people. On the flip side, this isn’t a time of peace. This is the apocalypse and they have hoverboards. I need to know WHEN this tech was invented. If you tell me Asami made it before everything went bad or it was created to avoid the storms/other people, I’d buy that. I totally believe that advanced technology would be created to help in human survival. I think I just need a tiny explanation to help me along.
Her hair look—No! No, I am not going to keep going after this point. I will say that Pavi looks a touch younger here so I think this is her dad. Her dad took her and her mom took Nisha and the two were separated as toddlers. Both parents are dead but they separated the sisters during a storm. That’s my guess anyway
On the board, i don't think that's a hoverboard. Its a board thats being propelled by airbending. Like, the character using it IS an Airbender, so I figure its not technology keeping the board in the air. They're just making float via bending and them propelling it forward.
You can even see the mini airball in the middle of the board itself.
OH!!!! You’re right! Okay, I really like this. Combining tech with bending is such a fluid way to introduce technology into this universe. I want so much more of this.
Pavi 's world looking like how Jak 2 and Jak 3 did is wild. A mix of some technology maybe remaining from Republic City, but set in mainly a desert. I can't wait to see what the rest of the Avatar would looks like in this run.
Also, did anyone else notice a potential betrothal necklace on Korra in that split second of the trailer? Really hope the Avatar Studio gets a chance to do the Korra movie later.
I truly hope we get some scenes in classic Avatar locations. I want to see what Ba Sing Se looks like now, what does the Fire Nation palace look like, what does the South Pole look like.
Also, I think you’re right. She definitely has something around her neck and I think it’s a betrothal necklace. I doubt we’ll see much of, if any, Asami, but it’s interesting to see that they do confirm Korra got engaged.

Celine’s hand wrapped around Mira’s wrist to keep her still, “Mira, it’s okay. It’ll sting for only a moment and then it’ll go away. Just breathe through—“ Mira smacked her face with her working paw.
“NO! I want to go! I want to leave! Let me go!”
“Okay, okay, Mira, sweetie, you need to calm down—“
“LET ME GO!” Celine had fast reflexes. It was a byproduct of being a hunter. She could block any demon’s punch or throw her sword fast enough that it killed a demon before they got anywhere near her. With Mira though she was late. She didn’t react when Mira shifted and she didn’t react when Mira bit down on her arm, breaking the skin.
“AHH!”
“Cece!” Rumi cried. Without warning, Rumi rushed forward and hit Mira square in the face with the side of her arm, pushing her back. Mira ended up only a few feet from the door, still in her fox form, with her tail between her legs and her ears pinned down. Rumi moved to reveal her own claws and fangs in the blink of an eye, growling at Mira, “Get out of here, demon! Go!”
Please take into consideration for this AU where Celine adopts demon!huntrix:
The girls all calling Celine some different variation of mom.
Rumi - Eomma. Simple and sweet.
Mira - Eomeonim. To my knowledge, the most respectful way to say mom and Mira would want to be incredibly respectful and kind to avoid doing anything wrong.
Zoey - Mom. Simple and there’s a plot reason why she doesn’t say mama and why mom is a better title for Celine.
Celine knows exactly who is talking to her based on what she’s called.
AU - Zoey never went to Korea. Instead, she remained in the States and went to college to try and pursue music. It’s not going great but she’s trying. Mira and Rumi though have met and have created Huntrix but they’re one member short. During a trip to America, for their first world tour, Zoey gets a ticket to see Huntrix because it’s her favorite band. During an intermission, Zoey leaves the concert hall to call her dad and accidentally witnesses a fight between Huntrix and what look like demons. A fight that ends in both Mira and Rumi being transformed into talking cats.
