You know what we need to talk about? Ian changed Mickey’s contact on his phone from Mick to Mickey (5x06 -> 5x11) within 5 episodes

I feel like I’m going to finish my rewatch before the end of season 11. This is up to 4x09. Part 11 (?? I think??)

-I have so many feelings about Fiona and the way she’s treated. Debbie calling her a bitch was so uncalled for. Lip yelling at her was ridiculous. I really hate how she’s treated this season. Totally warranted after the Liam incident to an extent but not to the point of lip treating her like their parents. Watching again I completely understand her bender. She has no one. I will forever love Fiona. Even though I hate the cocaine part.

-I really hate the cocaine part. It’s just one slip up after another. And logically it would’ve been best if fiona has thrown the coke out, but...

-Robbie is disgusting she should’ve ratted him out.

-why does no one care where Ian’s gone???? Until Mickey finds him no one cares. Fiona says she misses him so much but he’s just such the forgotten child! Also does no one care if he gets his HS diploma? It was such a fight with lip but this is just another thing no one cares if Ian does.

-I never realized that Ian was close to crying when Mickey comes to get him from the club. He wipes his eye and idk if that’s him crying or being close to it. He’s literally vibrating and I know that’s the drugs but damn he has so many emotions going on.

-I think my favorite kiss is the club kiss. It’s just ridiculously amazing. Also Ian cupping mickeys head has always been a thing and that is truly lovely.

-I love how fond Ian is of Mickey. I love the loft scenes. And Mickey holding onto Ian. Also speaking of Ian sleeping if Ian sleeps spread out with his leg hanging off the bed how do him and Mickey fit on it together? Like how do you go from taking up a whole bed to being scrunched into it with another person. If that’s not true love idk what is.

-Mickey counting his knuckles to make sure there are 14 and not 15 is adorable.

-unpopular opinion but I really dislike svetlana. I hate that she threatens Mickey. I hate that she threatens Ian. I know she gets better but I just really dislike her.

-Carl is the sweetest.

-I generally hate franks storylines but I liked Sami dressing him up in makeup and getting him to Carl’s teacher meeting. Also does Sami have a job like wtf? Also I hate that debbie and Sami bond. But chucky is just great. Sitting on the couch watching porn I find simaltaneously disgusting and funny.

-lip is such an asshole to Fiona. I hate that he yells at her. Like I have such a problem with the way they treat Fiona. He never cuts her a break. She has to be on all the time. Honestly they treat her like such a mom.

-Ian cutting his camo pants says so much about his now disregard for the army. He’s officially done with them.

-Mickey getting Ian from the club and taking him back home and staying with him on the floor has to be one of my favorite storylines of the series. The way Mickey just doesn’t want to be away from him after he finds him again is just really nice to see. And the way that Ian tries to set boundaries but completely lacks doing so is amazing. The way that lip asks if he really should go down that road and Ian ignores him. The way Ian tries to be the one to be in control with asking Mickey to give him a blow job whenever he wants it but then he invites him for the club because he doesn’t want to be away from him. And the way Mickey pours coffee for him when it’s just them at breakfast with Fiona. It’s those soft scenes I miss between the two of them.

Currently rewatching 03x11 and realizing how completely out of pocket is Ian crashing Mickey’s wedding and, without so much as a greeting, saying “you’re calling me punk for wanting a boyfriend or whatever but you’re gonna marry someone who screws guys for a living” after their last interaction was Mickey beating the shit out of him.

Love the audacity of this man.

OKAY WAIT im rewatching shameless and on 04x02 Carl is trying to find Frank a new liver. Carl tests Frank and he’s O+ but when he asks Lip, he’s AB+ Which means (unless Lip lied) Lip cant be biologically Frank’s child. I know the writers were lazy as fuck but in season one Ian and Lip got a paternity test, which concluded Ian wasn’t Frank’s. And we never got on screen confirmation that Lip was Frank’s son, it wad just implied.

Could Lip also be from a different father?

Inconsistency #842692 I’ve noticed while rewatching shameless

Ian telling Mandy about dancing in the club (6x09) makes no sense. They were best friends. She was possibly the only one he was texting before Mickey brought him home and they lived together at the Milkovich house for months while he was working in the fairy tail.

The writers’ laziness never ceases to amaze me.

Sometimes I watch shameless and I wonder if I can dislike debbie anymore and then I do.... up to 6x5. I did it! I passed season 5! I’m in unknown territory.

-debbie I just... I didn’t feel badly when Derek left her. I felt badly for Fiona when debbie lied to her. I know some people don’t mind debbie but watching her is like nails on a chalk board. If I’m going to get through the Mickey missing years, I’m going to have to skip some debbie scenes.

-but on the other hand I dislike how aggressive Fiona is about debbie getting an abortion. She’s right but her methods are not great. I do have to say she’s right in telling debbie she won’t take care of a kid. My mom told me the same thing. I don’t feel badly for her. It’s her choice so she needs to deal with the consequences.

-I do find is great storytelling that Fiona also is pregnant at the same time. It was a great twist.

-Carl. Just Carl. I love him. I do like his and nick’s friendship. I know it gets grim but for now it’s nice.

-I know the end of season 5 is sad and that scene in the prison is even worse but now that I know they’re married it’s just another stop in their journey together. There’s such a different feel to these moments now that we know where they end up. And I’m so thankful that we got happy gallavich and their scenes consist of duets and lame jokes together instead of bitter words and breakups.

-I really wish we knew what they had planned at the end of season 5 for Mickey and Ian if noel hadn’t left. There’s such a disjointed feel to the end of the season. You think that they’re going to get back together and then Ian completely 180s. I could understand the breakup more if they weren’t leading us down a weird hole with the Monica stuff.

-also Ian and mickeys missed phone calls really hurt.

-what was the point of chuckie coming back for a scene?

-Fiona continues to be treated like shit. And I really don’t care for any of her scenes with the guys she’s fucking.

-Ian is so depressed. All I could think about is how depressed he is. I’ll never get over the end of season 5 and that clusterfuck. But also he still looks sickly in season 6.

- season 6x5 has two, count them, two mentions of Mickey! Ian tells lip he’s had sex in alleyways and at dugouts. Obviously that’s with Mickey. Caleb invites him to play baseball and tells him he’s playing second. And you know he’s thinking about Mickey pissing on first base when they were in little league together and Ian played second back then too. And the last time he was at a baseball field he was with Mickey. Honestly I’ll probably be looking for all the signs of Mickey through these next three seasons. Not gonna lie. But I really loved that call back especially with Ian’s little incredulous laugh. You know he was thinking about Mickey.

-I don’t get the appeal of Helene. And I don’t get how Ian could be making fun of lip for fucking an older woman when he fucked a lot of older guys.

-I wonder how much money Mickey made with svetlana.

-it’s funny when Fiona tells debbie that it’s sad they are moving debbie says it’s just a house with wood and nails and now I can’t unthink that for the next s11 episode when she complains about lip selling their house.
