i’ve been honestly wondering how some of you view the future:

okay, so free palestine and then what? not being sarcastic, actually wondering how do some of you actually see the future?

first on the agenda: those 7.5 million jews go where?

1. just around the world? will it be a choice or mandatory? will it be organized? with what funds? i mean, it is quite costy. will any country open their gates for an easy immigration?

2. as the USA houses the 2nd largest jewish community in the world, will green cards be issued easily for israelis? will that be the main option? will it be acceptable for them to live in a community, or are they expected to blend in?

3. when are the jews expected to leave?

4. say you believe they can stay, what is your vision for their life under a palestinian regime? will they be free to practice judaism? israel is actually very secular at most, will that basic right of a democratic state be preserved?

5. will people who have an israeli citizenship be able to receive a palestinian one instead?

6. back to my initial question, who funds such an operation?

2. who will fund the birth of country? say we moved the jews with the israeli funds, or are the jewish israeli funds supposed to go there?

Massage therapist AU let’s go!

Okay so my initial thought was - Ian is the massage therapist because you know, those hands do something to me, and he likes taking care of people and well mainly because of the gif of him grabbing Mickey by the neck.

I can see Mickey going to therapist after an injury, if the costs were covered by insurance or something. I can also see this become a physical therapy AU, you know? Weekly sessions until Mickey gets better. The hot redhead touching him all over and praising him every time he does those silly exercises? Just what the doctor prescribed.

But, you made a very convincing point. Mickey could totally be like those tiny people who crack your back. And the FUCK U UP knuckles couldn’t be more true. Because those are a god given gift. Maybe Ian underestimates him when he first shows up to his therapy appointment.

Motocross driver! Mickey is something I didn’t know I needed until now!!! Yes please. The downsides of the accident is that he isn’t allowed back on the bike until he completes physical therapy. The upsides of physical therapy is that you get a hot giant to rub your body.

the veteran au! My beloved! I feel like Ian might give up on regaining the full motor skill of his shoulder/ knee / ankle after his injury. He’s too tired and nothing works for him. Maybe some unexplained pain that no one seems to find a solution for.

But Fiona and Lip manage to convince Ian to go to one more physical therapist. When Ian sees him he thinks “well here come another hour of my life wasted but at least I could tell Fiona and Lip I’m done.” He couldn’t be more wrong.

Mickey is a hard ass, and he gives him excitement that he hasn’t felt in a while. He teases Ian non stop- he makes fun of him when he’s being a baby and teasingly flirts with him whenever Ian puts in the effort to cooperate.

He gives him homework- exercises he must do every day to strengthen his muscles, stretches for his posture, and one mental exercise until their appointment next week. Sometimes it’s to go out and do his ‘homework’ outside, sometimes it’s to do it with someone else.

Mickey always starts the therapy with a massage to loosen the area up, his movement is strong but soft, he knows what he’s doing and it helps Ian’s nerve pain.

Ian comes to Mickey’s practice unmotivated and defeated and leave with a spark of hope and giddiness to see the tiny raccoon again next week (and make him proud).

Veteran is is soooo eager to please! But it take him a moment to get there you know? Because he’s so tired and in pain and his spirit is down. But Lip notices the difference from the first appointment.

This reminds me of John Watson from Sherlock (the tv series) that has a physical limp, so when his busy or interested in something he forget about his limp / pain because it’s mostly physiological. So what if when Lip meets Ian for lunch after the first appointment with Mickey, as the walk up to the restaurant and Ian is telling him all about his therapist, Lip notices Ian is walking with much more ease.

I habe this line stuck in my head of when Mickey asked him how the injury happened and Ian tells him in the military (with little to no details) and Mickey just hums, Ian asks him sarcastically “what you’re not gonna thank me for my service?” With an eye roll. Don’t know why I find it funny but I feel like grumpy Ian would say shit like that

Oh god Mickey’s cute face when he’s concentrating really hard, trying to move Ian’s body but careful not to cause any pain. Maybe he notices that Ian’s body relaxes when they talk so he keeps talking to Ian, who eventually becomes the chatty Cathy that he is. Ian keeps asking him stuff about his job and how he got to doing what he’s doing. Sometimes Mickey even tells him funny stories about old clients. Mickey doesn’t like talking to people about his private life but he makes a deal with Ian- every week he completes his physical therapy homework he gets to ask him one personal question.

First of all, HOLY FUCK the motocross gifs are cool as fuck. Like I’m not into extreme sport (and I’d be scared to death to be with someone that does it) but this is mesmerizing. I feel like Mickey would love doing the free style kind of stunts, you know? He loves the dramatics.

The competence kink 🔥 also - what if we have an alternative AU (or a sub AU if you will) - still motocrosser Mickey of course, but Ian is the EMT / paramedic / emergency first aid worker (?) on the sidelines? I know shit about these competitions but I’m sure they have a couple on standby, right? So what if that’s Ian’s side gig while he works as an EMT? And you know, competence kink can go both ways. Like in canon, Mickey is the unpredictable chaotic one, and Ian is being pulled in like a magnet with his soft Dom nurturing nature. Ian and Mickey both dissing the army is very funny indeed. But yeah, you’re right it’s probably a touchy subject for Ian and Mickey will distract him with something else to keep their appointments light. (Maybe Mickey can see on Ian’s file that he has switched many therapists, because I don’t see Ian telling him that on their first meeting) Mickey doesn’t want to let Ian give up.

Can you imagine how proud Mickey feels when he first gets the excited puppy look from Ian? When he can tell he’a getting Ian to cooperate?

All of these bargaining reminds me of the s11 Ian-is-unemployed-let’s-make-him-feel-usefull-so-he-doesn’t-pout situation you know? Like given him ‘homework’ and setting up goals for Ian to follow through and come back to therapy and feel his own progress by taking action. It just such a cleave thing Mickey does sometimes (the whole gun and uniform reverse psychology shenanigans). He quickly gets what gets Ian going (and Ian playing hard to get is getting him hard).

as for our lovely veteran!ian- i could still see him and mickey bitching on the military system, but in off-hand comments maybe at best, at least at the start when they don't know much about each other yet. you said it, mickey wants to keep it light, and i bet it'd help with his job to do so, too. also, i need that slightly competitive kick of mickey to prove to ian he's just not met the right therapist yet. i.e. mickey.

THE EXCITED PUPPY EYES, YES. but also, the juxtaposition. he has a full on veteran in front of him. how can such a person throw THOSE eyes and still not put any doubt into him that ian could very well mandhandle him just like he craves-

mickey tricking ian into cooperating is the best thing in a thousand miles. i just accept this as such a thing for them. because mickey has a knack for feeling ian and his needs out.

and i mean, it's not too bad for mickey either, no? getting info out of ian basically for free after throwing out like. half a sentence and a mental dash. not to say ian rambling's giving him the space to only halfway listen and probably reminisce about the body in front of him in the meantime.

I have a feeling Mickey’s scrapes would come from fist fighting people who trash talk the wrong person (Mickey) more often than he would get hurt from bike stunts, you know?

Ian would insist of disinfecting every cut and patching up every bruise and Mickey would grumble something along the lines of “I’m not a baby stop stressing about this, doc. I had much worse” and Ian would just roll his eyes and threaten to use a hallo kitty bandage next time if he doesn’t let him work in peace. “The sooner you let me patch you up the sooner you’ll get to ride your bike.” But both of them want it to take longer than necessary.

wait hold up emergency alert 🚨 what if they a tart joking around about a good luck kiss ??? I don’t know who started it. Maybe Mickey jokes “aren’t you going to kiss it better? 😏” or something but it became a thing and every time before it was Mickey turn to compete Ian kisses that one spot that Mickey got hurt on the first competition they worked together? Maybe Mickey always wraps his knuckles before he competes and he needs Ian to do it for him? (I don’t know please help) but Mickey starts calling Ian his lucky charm (you know, like the leprechaun cereal) ahhhhh Nosho what are we doing? I am losing my mind.

The duality of Ian - biggest puppy energy, so cute, so emotional, so innocent and yet strong, beefy, competent veteran who doesn’t backdown and can handle Mickey, both mentally and physically. Beautiful.

Mickey Watching Over Ian [S04E07] this is my most watched scene on repeat.

i already mentioned this once, so i'm shamelessly copy-pasting: I love re-watch this scene, i love this song (and i'm so sad that it's been removed from spotify but ok whatever). It's incredibly emotional, that's all. Mickey is so protective, there are so many thoughts on his face. And this silent talk with Svetlana screams very loudly for me. I just like to think that at this moment Mickey is thinking about how much he loves Ian and how glad he is that he's finally here. At his home. In his bed.

Okay, another AU idea because I'm annoying like that,

I just saw a tiktok (and lost it before I copied the link) of an actor saying he doesn't read books, and the only books in his house are books that he has done the movie adaptations of and even then he doesn't always read the books. ((He sounded obnoxious as fuck))

But I don't think are boys would actually say that unironically. BUT that's when the idea came to me -> Ian is an author that wrote a book about a gay character navigating through life while raising his niece after his sister and her husband died. It was his first book that got published by a major publication and after being pretty successful, he got a movie offer. He agreed to it on the one condition that he'll be on set and gets to veto some stupid adaptations.

The book / movie is pretty light hearted but has some serious moment. Ian is there for every step of the movie making, including casting. He really likes Mickey as an actor and has seen him in other movies before.

Shortly after they tell the public Mickey is going to play the main character, a snippet from an interview circles around social media. It's out of context. Mickey is actually dyslexic but doesn't tell his employers (he can read, it's just hard. so he listens to audio books) hence the quote above^.

The PR team manages to make it disappear before any major media gets a hold of it, but Ian knows what he heard. However, they already released to the media that Mickey is going to be the main character, backing out now would be bad. (Mickey is getting pretty famous and the movie/book isn't as well known) So Ian has to suck it up and work with Mickey Milkovich, the actor that may or may not have read his book.

Ian has a big show coming up and pretty last minute his partner is sick / injured and won’t be able to perform. He needs a replacement and fast. Someone really good that can learn quick and be strong enough to carry themselves and even Ian. (Though Ian is the one doing most of the parts of holding the other person, he is heavy and strong).

So even though Ian and Mickey have never worked together and have different styles, he’s Ian’s only home. He is talented, quick on his feet and most importantly- available in those dates. It’s doesn’t meant it goes smoothly from the get go.

Oh yeahhh ! I feel like at the beginning they’d stick to Ian and Mandy’s routine but noticing how fucking strong is??? They’d have to use that to their advantage.

I like to think of Mickey as more of a solo artist (and a possible control freak about his routine) so it takes him sometime to prefect holding someone else while holding yourself up as well. Ian is used to working with a partner so it comes more naturally for him.

Maybe Mandy makes them do some trust exercises to build that bond quicker and some of them get Mickey to lift / carry Ian. He can easily lift Ian off the ground but it takes time for him to learn the technique of doing it in the air, you know?

YES this is definitely giving it’s a wrap vibes! But kind of the other way around? Ian guides Mickey how to work with each other while Mickey is used to training by himself, which is nearly impossible when you need your partner for the momentum.

(I can see Mickey as a person that likes to stay training until 2AM so it’s empty and no one is watching him / offers unsolicited advice)

ohh, but mickey being possessive over ian is. my source of life energy tbh. like, either of them must be popular, just. look at them, but ian with his giant height and paws for hands is kinda destined to be a bit possessive - and i mean, who'd mess with THAT once he makes clear mickey's untouchable? but with mickey? that tiny little raccoon? who is he to lay claim, huh? well, mister, he's all sorts of things, mainly the reason your jaw will be broken should you touch ian one more time, thanksokaybye.

while at it -> the (maybe not-so) casual intimacy that'd weasel itself in at some point? like gentle touches while passing or standing next to each other? just the NEED to be physically connected whenever they can, too.

the promo shoots and all must be so MESSY with these two. like, sure thing, practice is practice, they NEED to get this right at some point, but as soon as the stakes are WAY lower? mayhem.

I think Ian is just more friendly you know? So people flirt with him more often (mistaking his niceness for flirting?) so Mickey is more on guard. Ian knows Mickey doesn’t enjoy talking to “fans” after the show, so he usually does it by himself. (Unless there are kids, Mickey always gets a long with cool kids). The moment a hot guy is coming anywhere near Ian, Mickey is there. Just a tiny little raccoon, marking his territory. Ian finds it amusing (and hot).

The constant need to be touching each other is so real. They learn to work as one unit, be one moving machine, being aware of each other’s space and movement. And the can’t turn it off. Once they became in sync the just never stop. Small touches, small glances, the little telepathic conversations.

Do you think Mickey asks Ian if he should cover his tattoos when they’re performing? Ian would say Mickey should do whatever he’s comfortable with, of course. But this show is technically for the entire family, you know? Fuck it. It’s supposed to be a freak show, right?

Also more inspo for Mickey’s solo act, the globe / sphere aerial! Maybe they could make it work as a duo as well? I don’t think the would go for the matchy matchy vibe of this video but you know what I mean

i think he actually might? maybe he has never really done an entire family show and never had to think about it? but then he overhears someone whisper about it? maybe it makes him the teeensiest bit insecure, hence he asks ian? who, as you said, wouldn't care a bit, but maybe he senses mickey's tension, cue some knuckle kisses?

Or just ones that aren't targeted to 'the whole family'? -> i think it could be a mix of both? like, yes, he did some shows that were more explicitly sexually driven/inspired, but overall it's also maybe about the choice of music, or portrayed "violence". maybe some not-so-safe practices, too, and the management wanted to weasel their way around insurance issues if some kid got wrong ideas (i.e. trying shit themselves)?

This reminds me of that bar-restaurant I saw in London, with an acrobat doing crazy stunt, hanging on poles / aerial above the giant long table where people sit. I hope that guy got tipped well because that looked scary as fuck. (we didn't have a reservation but it was cool to see from the window)
