Warnings: discussion of being shot and its side effects, death
Summary: Rey has gotten used to the fact that casualties are a given in any war. She just wasn't ready for you to be one of them.
a/n: oops
A blaster shot slices through your torso, singing your skin like a red-hot poker. You cry out, and your own blaster clatters to the mossy ground as your vision goes spotty. Fuck, it hurts - there’s air moving through the wound, ripping through layers of sinew and muscle.
Stumbling, you make your way into the forest, eventually collapsing to the ground.
You tilt your head up to the canopy of trees that stretches forever and ever above your head. It makes you feel so small, so insignificant. It’s weirdly comforting.
You choose to not think about how colors begin to warp and smear around you like some kind of sick kaleidoscopic vision.
From her post at a nearby blast door, Rey sees you run into the forest, clutching a hand to your side. Her stomach drops.
No.
She races after you, frantic, throwing aside any trooper who dares to get in her way. They fly back against the trees, their necks snapping as they hit the firm trunks with a loud crack.
“Y/N!” she screams, sprinting through the cluster of foliage and branches.
“Rey?” you call out as loud as you can, swallowing thickly as blood fills the back of your throat. She follows your voice, eventually finding you tucked between two thick trunks that seem to extend for miles into the sky. Falling to her knees beside you, she gathers you in her arms, cradling your head with a shaking hand.
“Heyheyhey, look at me, ok? Just look at me.” You do as she says, and glance up, your eyes finding hers, filled with tears. An overwhelming feeling of guilt surges in your chest. You don’t want to leave her like this.
“You’re ok, you’re ok,” she murmurs, looking for anything she can use to pack your wound. “You’ll be ok. We’ll be ok.”
“Rey,” you say, a pained look on your face. She furrows her brows, fervently shaking her head as she begins to tear off a piece of her tunic.
“No, we’ll- you’ll be fine, I can-”
“Rey,” you say again, your tone pained but firm. She looks back at you, lips trembling.
“Please. I can’t lose you.” There it is again, that guilt. Your mouth contorts as you try to hold back tears.
You bring a blood-smeared palm to her cheek and rest it there, your touch gentle as a gust of warm summer air. “You’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen,” you say quietly. “Have I ever told you that?”
She lets out a strangled sob. “Y/N...”
“And I know-” you grit your teeth as another jolt of pain racks through your body. “-that this isn’t the best time, but...I don’t think there’ll be-”
“Stop,” Rey breathes. “Just...tell me tomorrow, ok? We can take the Falcon out to that beach planet, the one you like. Tell me then.” You nod tightly, shifting slightly so your head is in the crook of her elbow.
“Tomorrow, then,” you say, words slurring. She nods tearfully, brushing your hair away from your face. You lean into the touch, sighing. Your eyelids close.
“Tomorrow,” she says, and you go limp in her arms.
Warnings: spice runner? Fluff. A lot of Poe, sorry
Summery: Poe’s sister comes to visit only to gain a crush on a certain Jedi.
Author: idk how I feel about this was but I hope you like it!
Everyone had their eyes on it, the Red and gold A-Wing that flew over the base. The pilot flying it was skilled and quick, it was probably one of the fastest A-Wings they had ever seen. The only person the resistance knew who could fly like that was Poe Dameron, the Commander, but that wasn’t Poe. Finn moved once he had seen enough of the A-Wing, knowing exactly who it was. He ran to Poe who was working on his X-Wing.
“Poe!” He yelled causing the pilot to jump and hit his head on the jet. Finn chuckled and looked at him.
“You have a visitor.” He said, and about the same time Rey joined them looking at Finn.
“Poe has a visitor?” Rey asked looking at them, Poe looked confused for a moment before hearing the sound of a jet entering the hangar, turning heads, sure enough it was the A-Wing from earlier. The pilot had a helmet on that covered their face, but the tight red and gold leathers told everyone what they were. They left the A-Wing and looked towards the three of them, Poe throwing down his tool ran towards the figure hugging them tightly. The person hugged back just as tight. By the shape of their body Rey could tell it was a women, but she didn’t know Poe had a girlfriend.
“How long have they been together?” Rey asked looking at Finn, but he couldn’t help himself and burst out laughing at the comment, having to hold the X-Wing next to him to stand up. Rey couldn’t figure out why he was laughing so she chose to ignore it and look back at Poe and the Spice runner.
The helmeted figure looked at poe then over his shoulder at rey, then back to poe. “Who’s she?” She asked looking down at poe, naturally she was much shorter then him but with the heels of her uniform she almost towered him.
“That’s Rey, why?” Poe raised his brow crossing his arms. At the same time the Spice Runner unattached her helmet, letting out a soft hiss of air, before it came off her head. Her (y/h/l) (y/h/c) falling out of it beautiful, her skin glowing, her (e/c) eyes shining in the light of the hangar. She was stunning, the laughter of Finn has stopped by now as Rey and (y/n) both looked at each other and whispered to the person next to them.
“She’s so pretty...”
Both men next to them stopped and looked at them.
“No, no no no, you can’t like her” Finn said looking at rey.
“You can’t be serious...” Poe said looking at (y/n),
“Why can’t I?” Rey asked looking at Finn.
“Oh I am,” the spice runner said looking at the commander.
“That’s Poe’s sister!” Finn said looking at Rey who looked back in shock.
“Why is it always my friends?” Poe asked looking at his sister.
“Poe has a sister?” Rey asked looking back at the two pilots.
“Stop having beautiful friends, now are you going to introduce me to my future wife?” (Y/n) said pulling her hand on her hip. Poe shook his head.
“She won’t be into you.” Poe said looking at his younger sister.
“Try me.” She said before walking over towards Rey.
“Oh my stars she’s coming over here...” Rey whispered and Finn shook his head before smiling at the spice runner he’d known for awhile.
“(Y/n)!” Finn said hugging her, she hugged back and fixed his jacket when she pulled away.
“Finn! I missed you!” She said smiling at him, before turning to Rey, being met with the most beautiful smile. “You’re even prettier up close.” She commented smoothly, Finns mouth dropped open and Poe face palmed, but Rey’s face turn red as roses as she blushed.
“I-I’m ... wow I’m sorry I wasn’t expecting that” Rey stumbled over her own words at she looked at the leather wearing spice runner. “I’m Rey.” She said recovering, only to fall silent again at the dealers reply.
“Really? I thought your name was Angel...” she smirked at her and kissed her hand. “(Y/n), (y/n) Dameron.” Rey smiles at her, showing off her adorable dimples.
“I didn’t know Poe had a sister...”
“You didn’t kno-“ (y/n) turned looking at her brother. “Your friends don’t know you have a sister?!”
“I’m a busy person we don’t really talk about my personal life...”
“Do they know you were a spice runner?” She asked looking at Poe.
“YOU WERE A SPICE RUNNER?!” They both yelled at the same time in shock looking at the commander.
“Like you two have room to talk! You were a storm trooper and a scavenger.” Poe quipped back looking at them, crossing his arms in defense. (Y/n) chuckled.
“I thought it was just (y/n), I didn’t know this was a a family business!” Finn said looking at them, Rey however still couldn’t take her eyes off the younger Dameron.
“Oh whatever come on let’s get a drinks.” Poe said.
—
It was late as they sat around a fire, Poe and Finn had already went off to bed, leaving Rey and (y/n), sitting across from each other as the warm glow danced on their faces. Rey was the first to break the silence.
“Have you always been a spice runner?” She asked looking at the girl who now wore much more comfortable clothes.
“For as long as I can remember...” (y/n) looked up at rey as she played with the fire. “Have you always been a Scavenger?”
“Up until I found the resistance...” Rey said looking at her. “You know, we could use a pilot like you.” She said as she got up And moved over next to (y/n), her eyes trailing the white dressed girl the whole time. Rey sat down next to the Dameron sister and looked into her eyes.
“I’m not fit for the resistance Rey...” she said looking back at the fire before poking it with a stick.
“Why not, Poe is a commander and he was a spice runner...” Rey continued trying to sway the beautiful smuggler.
“Poe wasn’t as deep into it as I am... it’s all I’ve ever really known.” She looked back at Rey, something sparked between them in that moment of silence, Rey’s hand came down to rest on hers.
“Let’s change that...” her voice was low, quiet and meant for only (y/n)’s ears, “you could do so great here, and be with Poe and Finn. You’d be amazing” she smiled at her. “You wouldn’t have to be scared of where to go and who to talk to... you’d be free.”
(Y/n) looked down at their hands. Pulling in a deep breath as she thought it over. An idea coming to her head that would make them both happy, she’d probably do it anyways because the resistance is a good idea, but she’s a Dameron, it’s in her blood to be cocky.
“I have one request...”
“Anything... well not an-“ Rey started but was cut off by the spice smuggler.
“When this is iver I get to take you out on a date?” (Y/n) asked looking at the now blushing Jedi. Rey chuckled and looked down at the fire this time. Finally speaking up.
Request: hello darling! i hope your doing ok. would you be comfortable with writing rey (star wars) x female reader (if your comfortable, i’m not going to force you to write anything your not comfortable with) where the reader has really bad nightmares and Rey just comforts her? ❤️❤️
Of course love, this is so sweet! And as someone who used to constantly have nightmares, it’s extra nice to write <3
Comments are much appreciated!
You wish you didn’t dream about him as often as you did. Although it hurt you to think, some part of you, deep down, was just waiting its time until he lived tucked up in the back of your mind, broken into only for a fond memory or forgotten whispers.
Waking up, you know that the dream will have been the same as the night before, the harsher version of the thoughts your mind reenactments for you in fragments during the day. The same dream you’ve been having for the last seven days. Cosmos, had it really been a week already? Instead of relief on waking up, you get the trauma made fresh and raw again and again, like life itself was a never ending nightmare.
You get to see Chewie’s roaring scream as he stands there in shock and agony, your brother gripping back onto the lightsaber as he pushes the body of your father off the edge of the platform, his eyes unseeing and face scaringly calm, floating down into the infinite darkness like a sack of bricks. How tormented Ben had seemed at seventeen, the last time you’d seen him, how young and hopeful that seems now. Yet, no matter how many times the nightmare comes, you subconsciously welcome it the next time again, because the beginning is the only time you will ever be with him, hear his pleading words and bask in the warmth of his familiarity as he begged for you to leave.
Although you hadn’t known it then, it was his way of saying goodbye. You, however, weren’t ready to say goodbye yet.
Gasping for air, you barely notice your hands clawing into the skin around your throat as you sit up in bed. Rey, thankfully, was still asleep. You just sat there for a moment, next to the woman you loved more than anything in the galaxy, trying not to cry in the groggy state that occurs after being woken from a deep sleep. She lay under the stars, which were like a beautiful, surreal blanket above your heads. You could feel his heartbeat softly in the force, and could hear the soft breaths of her by your side. You basked in the comfort she brought you, the way the curl on her forehead rose and fall with her chest. The way she slept on her front, one arm under the pillow and the other hanging precariously off the side of her bed, touching her stick, always ready for a fight. You were still mystified, at the fact she was lying here next to you, and at the lack of motion and the growing presence of complete silence of the Millenium Falcon.
Clenching your eyes shut, you tried to make as little noise as possible as you threw your blankets off your sweaty legs, but it was enough to wake her.
‘What is it? Y/n, what’s going on? Are you okay? Are we under attack - have the First Order found us?’, she gasped, grabbing onto her stick and sitting up straight, sleep crusting her eyes.
She rubbed it off slowly as you sighed. ‘No. Rey, we’re okay. I’m sorry sunshine, I didn’t mean to wake you up.’
‘Another nightmare’, she asks, pulling her feet up towards her chest.
‘...Another nightmare.’
‘You know, I want you to wake me up when these happen. I can help you, Y/n. That’s what I’m here for.’
‘I know - it’s just, I wish I could stop seeing him like that. Hans. I wish I could choose the most perfect memory of him and cling to it. I want to remember when I was five, and I couldn’t sleep, and so he’d come into this room right here and sit me in his lap, telling me stories about rebels and Skywalkers and Death Stars until mom came in and told him off. I want to remember that moment, and the person he should have been, would have been, had it not been for Ben.’
‘I know you want to remember your father, Y/n. But he was a brave man, and at least you had him, even if for a little while. But right now, I need you here, with me, because I’m not leaving you. Come here, be here with me now.’
Rey’s reached out, her hold around your waist tightening as she pulled you closer, resting her chin on the top of your head. You quite happily buried your head into his neck as she gently stroked your back.
There was kindness in her smile, as he glanced down at you, a gentleness. It was the smile of one who laughed with ease despite all her struggled, a kind of soul-connector. She was the kind of person who lived how she believed people should, as if she were sunshine that only radiated from the best aspects of those she met, their flaws entirely invisible to her gaze; she was a new bud in a sand storm.
‘Thank you, sunshine. For being here.’
As soon as the last syllable escaped your lips, you find yourself interlocked in a kiss. The tender touch you share makes the space around the two of you disappear. There isn’t anything else in the galaxy except the burning flame of your love making you feel as if everything else would be okay.
‘Now come on, back under the duvet. We have a long day of training ahead, and Leia won’t be happy if I bring you out knackered.’
Once Upon 500 Years Ago (Vampires/Witches, Yay/Nah? + EXTRACT)
In 1519, Rey, a powerful witch, was put In a deep slumber when she tried to kill herself after her love, the warlock Ben Solo had died trying to protect her from the dead. She awakes, five hundred years later and finds that not everything Is has she left It.
It goes to show that It’s not every day you wake up from a five hundred year nap to find that the love of your life Is now a five hundred year old Vampire.
EXTRACT:
“The supreme leader Is wise. He gave me the power so that I could take my revenge” Ben said It with such pride.
The words was well practices, Rey thought. But she had to know so she locked eyes with him.
“Revenge on who?” She asked?
“The witches, for killing you of course” He said It as If It was obvious.
They did not kill me?
“Killing me? What are you talking about?” She asked confused. As much as she really wanted to believe him, she could not believe what she was hearing. His words only cursed her more questions.
“We were trying to escape through the woods, when the witches hit you with a deadly spell, I had to killed them both. But when I went back to you, you were gone” He smooth voice was enchanting, crawling up her spine to calm her down and while he told her his side of the story, he never broke their eye contact. His eyes were intense, almost... hypnotising.
Remember, he will try and use his power on you.
Leia’s words return to her and she quickly looked away. She let out a breath she did not know she was holding and felt her body return to it normal state. Leia was right.
“And who told you such story? Snoke?” She could not hide the disgust she felt when asking him. She glanced at his face.
“He found me with you dead in my arms and told me he could give me what I needed to be able take my revenge”
Again, something was off In the way he said It. It just didn't feel right for Rey and slowly she felt herself turning irritated. She turned around and walked toward the other end of the room.
Like before, he spoke with such ease, like he had, had 500 years to practices that sentence to perfection. Almost as If he thought she would understand his reasons for doing so and be okay with it.
What scared her about all this was the way his appearance never once had changed since they started having this conversation. Not once had his voice cracked, no emotions to tell her what he really thought of it.
But what scared her most about it all was how naive had he been to think that he could trust what Snoke had told him. She would never had take a vampire to believe such thing. Vampire are lairs, yes, naive, not so much. From her understanding, Vampires are supposed to be able to sense when someone Is lying everything.
“And of cause you trusted him” She said loud, letting her anger and hurt get the best of her.
Tell him Rey!
She started walking towards him again.
“After all this time, after all we been thought, after all the bad things that man has caused us and everybody els you believed him just like that?” She stopped 5 feet away fro him.
She watch him lean forward a bit.
“What the witches told us about him was wrong. All this time he really just wanted to give us the best possible versions of our self so we could do what we wanted to do” His low deep voice was like laying In a bed of silk. Smoothing, It was making her light headed. He was trying to make her understand, but she would not hear it, she shakes her head In disbelief.
“I can not believe it, you sound just like him“
Ben straightens his back and crossed his arms behind his back making him look taller, more intimidating.
This was wrong and he needed to know.
“Do you trust me?” She asked him while her heart began to beat faster.
“What?” He answered, surprise taking over his face and he frowned his eyebrows.
Rey swallowed, caught a breath and licked her lips. For one brief moment she think she saw him look down to her lips but quickly looked up to her eyes again. Probably not.
“Do you trust me? Do you trust my word?” She let out the breath she had been holding and her voice shook. She had not noticed she had started to shake. His eyes narrowed.
“Haven’t I always” He said and clenching his jaw.
Hurt, she could feel the hurt his words carried.
Finally! So he is not all dead inside.
Maybe this was what they needed to make him see the problem. She decided to continue.
This was not what she wanted to do, she should not have to do this, but he had to know. He gave her no choice. She filled her lungs with air, and put her broken heart aside.
“Then let me tell you a story” She said softly, but Ben was not having it.
“If it’s one of those witches stories I don’t want…” He started but was soon interrupted.
“It Is the story of how you came to die In my arms” She said quickly.
Something happened. He parted his lips, tilted his head to the side and looked at her and narrowed his eye again. He was looking at her like she was the biggest mystery on earth and only he could solve her.
“What?”
“It Is true that we were running, but we were not just running from witches, we were also running from Snoke and his vamps and…” Rey paused, It was getting harder to breath. Why was it getting harder to breath?
She tired to swallow but the lump In her throat was hurting.
“I don’t know, somehow you got hit and….” She shook her head and licked her dry lips. The tears was knocking on the front of her eyes.
“I killed both guards with my magic and ran back to you but…”
“It was too late” she whispered and could no longer hold the tears back. She closed her eyes.
“I fell to the ground and pulled you into me arms. It was almost as If you were at peace with what was happening” A bitter sweet smile found it’s way on to her lips.
“I wish I could have said the same“ Her voice was merely a whisper.
She opened her eyes and let the tears go. Her vision was blurred and It hurt but somehow she still manage to look him in the eyes. He needed to see this he needed feel her pain was real, that her feelings were real.
BEN! Don’t leave me! Don’t, my love! BEN! I need you!
The memory sent new wave of tears rolling down her cheeks. Her walls broke down. No longer could she deny the hurt, sorrow and heartbreak she still felt inside her body.
Her vision was blurred but she still manage to finds his eyes.
“I kissed you one last time and I told you, that I loved you” Her tears saw no end. Her arms went around herself as she tried to protect herself. But she had to be strong, she had to finish this.
“And with your last breath you said; I know” She sobbed. With the back of her hand she dried the tears from her eyes.
“I know that to you It Is five hundred years ago, but for me… for me It feels like It happened only two days ago!” As Rey said the words something changed in Ben appearance.
Something flashed In Ben eyes making them dark, changing his cool appearance. While she had told him about how he died, not once had he said or looked away from her. He had just looked at her. Listening. But right now she could feel his rage, his face turned hard and cold, he was looked at Rey If she was his prey. He began to walk towards her for the first time.
“You don’t think I cared, you were the first thing I asked about when I woke up. Imagine my sorrow when I was told that you were dead. And not a day has gone by where I haven’t thought of you. Your face, smile, laughter, touch, love. You. I have mourned your death for five hundred years. For five hundred years I have fought for my Revenge. Killing those who are responsible for your death!” He hissed.
As much as his word hit her something els hit harder. He was only one feet away now and his cologne was hitting her hard. She was starting to feel light headed again.
Oh lord.
She was not afraid of him, she would never be afraid of him, no matter how he was trying to make her see him in a different light. She shook her head and bit her lip.
“But you still do not get it do you?” She said with sadness In her voice.
“Get what?” His wall was starting to crumble. Annoyance slipping through the cracks and It showed on his face.
“The witches is not to blame for my death” She stated.
“Then who Is? And If you say Snoke, I’m…” As Ben started to talk, Rey quickly interrupted him for the second time.
“You are”

Yay or Nay, should I go for it? It’s stupid I know, and poorly written (*cough*”Shitty Writing!”(I’m Well Aware!)) Make no mistake you will find gramma flops. My mother tongue Is danish, so yeah It pretty much looks like shit when I write In english. But please try and bear with me. I have had this idea In my head for quite some time now, and for some reason I decided to write it down. As it stands at the moment I have no idea what to do with it. I have written more and I was going to post It all, but I just thought it was a little too long, but we will see. I could do so much more, It could turn In to quite something... ANYWAY! I’m just gonna leave It here and we will see what gonna happen.
Thank you so much If you took a look.

Warning: torture, flashbacks, Kylo Ren, interrogation, fluffy ending, but there will be a part 3!
Word count: 2,202
Summery: (y/n) and Rey have grown closer over the last few months, and Rey gets scared when she doesn’t return in time.
Authors note: ask me about my tag list!
“I’ll be fine, I promise...” (y/n) spoke to Rey as she zipped up her flight suit. Rey has already braided the pilots hair back into a tight bun so she could wear it under her helmet, so all she had left now was her boots, and she was gone.
“I just don’t think you should go on this one.” Rey said looking at her, her eyes pleading with her best friends.
“I’m the Captain, Rey, I can’t just leave my men because of your suspicions.” She bent down tying her boots tightly before standing up and look at her again, (y/n)’s hand came up caressing her cheek. “Plus, you’ve already made me start training in the force again, if something happens I’ll be okay...”
“Promise?”
“Promise...” she kissed Rey’s forehead before heading out to her TIE.
When the Infiltrators team came back they all landed in the hangar and got out of there ships quietly, all expect one.
Liberty
Rey ran towards the hangar when she heard they arrived, running in she looked for the black TIE that was always stationed near the exit for close leaving. Gone, not returned. She stopped one of the pilots and looked at him. Knowing exactly what she was about to ask, they shook their head, eyes glazed over.
“What do you mean no...” rey asked looking at them. Poe grabbed her arms from behind and pulled her back turning her to look at him.
“We need to talk...” he said looking at her, worry coating his face. She shook her head thinking the worse, He pulled her into a hug and rubbed her back. Once they got to a private place he started telling her about the mission and what they got from the coms. Letting her hear the transmission.
“We’re nearing the Finalizer...” her voice rang threw the coms, quickly checking in on her other pilots. “Spook 2, do you copy?”
“I copy Captain”
“Spook 3,”
“Here captain.”
“Spook 4,”
“Reading cloaking, Captain.”
“Spook 5,”
“Always Captain.”
“Spook 6,”
“Pulling the end Captain.”
She smirked asking one final question before getting into the zone of the Finalizer. “Can you hear me, General and Commander.”
“Loud and Clear, Blue” Poe said nodding his head. General Leia watched the trackers of the TIE on hologram as they entered the Finalizer.
“Loud and clear...” she repeated and looked at Poe.
“Infiltrating now,” Blue spoke threw the coms, before landing in the Finalizer’s Hangar Poe asked one more question.
“You did take out the TIE that were meant to actually return didn’t you?” His voice was concerned and stern.
“You doubt my fleet commander?” She asked chuckling, but the comment answered the question.
Hopping from her TIE and smoothly making it past most of the people’s inside until one stopped her, General Hux. He looked at her and then back at her TIE.
“What happened out there, Captain?” He asked with a stern voice.
“Resistance tracked our fleet, sir, we took some fire. But they are gone now.” She said back, her voiced modulated by the first order helmet she wore. She was in complete disguise.
“Good, I hope to see you in the briefing.” She nodded before walking off, she knew the ships insides and outs because of a blue print they had on base, she would spend night after night airing it into her brain so she couldn’t get lost. She never did get lost either, or caught. Until today.
She was almost done downloading the information from the hard drive she needed when a modulated voice rang from behind her.
“I thought I felt another presence on the ship... another person like me.” His voice was deep, loud, and sent shivers down her spine. She had known of him but never actually met him in person, been close enough to feel his presence yet never see him. This was the worst time for him to find her, her helmet was off so she could see more of the screen, and she was exposed. She had never prepared for this moment, with General Hux maybe, but never him. She turned slowly, loose strained of hair hanging to her face as she did so.
“Kylo Ren” she said, not showing fear, the best she could do was block him from her mind like Rey taught her. She grabbed her gun and stepped forward.
“(Y/n) (y/n)...” he said back to her, she was shocked he knew it, her real name, but what shocked her more was his next move. His hand came up in front of her face and she saw black. The last thing the transmission from the helmet picked up was her body hitting the floor with a loud thud.
“This can’t be real..” Rey said looking at them, tears had streamed her face as she heard it. “She’s smarter then that!”
“Rey, we understand this is hard for you bu-“ Poe started but was cut off.
“We have to save her!” Rey said and they stared at her.
“You need to stay calm Rey, blue is strong, whatever is happening I’m sure she is okay.” General Leia said looking at the training Jedi.
“I’m saving her...”
(Y/n) woke up with a beating pain in her head, ima a dark room, trapped by metal. Interrogation room, was what ran threw her mind as she looked around, her face being met with the masked man across the room, Kylo Ren. He stood and looked at her, towering over her figure as he did so.
“Finally, I was beginning to think I lost you.” He said as he moved over towards her close to her face. If he hadn’t have had the mask on she would feel his breathe on her skin. He started fast with the questions not waisting time.
“Where is, the resistance base?”
“I don’t know, where is it Solo?” She said looking at him, she didn’t know why but making him angry seemed to be how she wanted to go about his. It obviously worked, because his hand came up meeting her left cheek, the take of iron flooring her mouth as she bit her cheek.
“Do not call me that!”
“Or what? You’ll kill me?” She chuckled rolling her eyes and turning her head back to face him. “You kill me you have nothing, and right now, you have nothing.”
“I’ll pry it out of you then...” he said raising his hand in front of her face, he was about to start when she starting laughing, throwing him off.
“Why are you laughing?!” He asked fury running out of his mouth as he looked at her. Her eyes met where she believes his would be in the helmet.
“You’re not scary.” She spit blood at the floor, licking it off her lips. “A man who will not face me with his real eyes, a man who will not use his own name... will never intimidate me.” She snarled out looking at him, the look in her eyes told him she wasn’t bluffing. She had a fire in her eyes and he was ready to destroy it. But he retaliated and walked away from her, hissing noises were heard as he took off his helmet. Setting it down he turned back to look at her, when there eyes met, all she could see was Rey. She couldn’t explain it, but she saw her in his eyes, she couldn’t look at him.
She closed her eyes and later her head back again against the cold metal of the weird chair. He groaned and looked at her. “Do I scare you now?” He asked moving back over to her. She opened her eyes and looked over to him on her left, he was so close, and as their eyes met once me she could see it, she saw it all.
He was asleep but he could feel the presence in his room, roaming threw his mind, showing things he had never felt before. Power and strength he had never seen. Darkness, red darkness, not just black. It was a powerful feeling, but it ended to quickly. The crackling sound of a lightsaber shook him awake, looking up to see his uncle, his master, Luke Skywalker. Standing over his bed with his lightsaber ignited. Fear rushed threw Kylo as he stood quickly using the force to push his uncle away. The walls began to shake and crumble as he fled, leaving Luke to die in the debris. As he existed the temple he saw the red, the red storm of fury and anger in the clouds. The next he knew they’re was an explosion, and she was pulled from his mind.
“He was going to kill you... because he saw what you were...” (y/n) let out as she looked at the taken back man who looked like he just had his heart ripped out. He looked down for a second trying to figure out why someone so weak could pry that from his mind with a look. Looking back up at her and meeting her eyes again he snapped, raising his hand towards her.
A searing pain ran threw her as it felt like all her organs had caught on fire. Her veins felt like they froze over and were dying off as he tortured her. It was all different, but she still worked to block him out. Her back arching off the chair as she screamed out trying to fight it off, sweat racked her body and tears left her eyes. Her nervous system felt like spiders were crawling threw the insides, biting at the ends of her nerve, poisoning her into oblivion. It felt like years but it was only seconds, just when she thought she couldn’t take anymore the door to the room opened and Kylo was thrown against a wall getting knocked out as his ashes and helmet toppled to the floor.
Rey, Rey came to her rescue, Poe and Finn at her side as she undid the metal binds. (Y/n) practically fell forward, not able to hold herself up anymore. Poe caught her, picking her up bridal style before they all left in a hurry. (Y/n) could see resistance men fighting stormtroopers as she looked over Poe’s shoulder. Finally getting back to the Millennial Falcon.
Laying her down on a table one of the nurses they brought with them started working on her instantly. Rey never leaving her side.
—
When she finally woke up, they were almost to base. Rey has her head laying next to (y/n)’s hand as she laid on the table. She moved propping herself up on her elbow as she looked around, taking in her surroundings. She finally looked down at Rey’s sleeping figure and smiled.
“Rey...” she said quietly, Rey shot up from her position and looked at her smiling, hugging her tightly. “Oh,” (y/n) let out as she was taken by surprise before wrapping her arms around Rey and leaning into her embrace. She found herself pulling Rey tightly to her as she sat up, grasping at the fabric of her outfit. She let out a sob into Rey’s shoulder as fear of losing her raked her body, even tho she was the one who almost died, she couldn’t do it without Rey. She couldn’t let her go, not this soon. “I’m so sorry...”
Rey pulled away looking at her, her hands resting on the pilots cheeks. Tears in her eyes as well, Rey smiled that beautiful smile as she looked at her. “Why are you sorry?”
“I was careless...” she replied looking at her best friend.
“I almost lost you... and you’re apologizing.” Rey chuckled “you’re one of a kind you know?” Rey said wiping away her tears, her eyes glancing down at the broken pilots lips. Her thumb coming over to them, grazing the soft bottom lip of the girl. (Y/n) didn’t stop her, enjoying the soft touches and love in Rey’s eyes as she did it.
Rey’s lips parted as she was about to speak, but (y/n) cut her off. Quiet, raspy. “Go ahead...”
Rey moves kissing her, passion and love flooding each other’s senses as they kissed. The pilots hands moved pulling Rey closer, needing to feel her presence. It was different, different then any other kiss she had ever experienced. It wasn’t just a meaningless kiss, that was a goodbye, a welcome home, a comforting hug at the end of a terrible day, An I love you. What she gave back was an I Love you too. It was perfect, specially as they pulled away, their breathes heavy and quick. As they looked back into each other’s eyes, they couldn’t help but giggle at each other. Rey bit her lip and smiled as she looked back at the pilot.
“Wow...” Rey let out in a small breathe.
“That bad huh?” (Y/n) let out chuckling and running her hand threw her mess of hair. Rey reaches up leaving a chest kiss on her lips again.
