What is your headcanon for the ideal Reylo ending in Episode IX?

This is really difficult for me to answer because I have so manyending possibilities I’d love to see, but I’ll do my best to summarize.

My ideal headcanon for Reylo would be that they both just end uphappy together. TFA and TLJ have both been super drama-filled and often combative for both Rey and Ben, and I want their ending to be something opposite of howthey started.

In short, I want it soft and sweet, but not lacking in passion.

Both Ben and Rey have greatpotential for soft and sweet characterizations - as we got to glimpse f in TLJ - but that’s what I want for them most. They both also have a great dealof passion as standalone characters. So imagine all that passion and softnessbetween two of the most powerful people in the galaxy… How amazing would that be?

I think the idea of her being a Kenobi and the two of them bringing balance to the force as grey jedi would be great, but if that's not the direction they go romantically, then okay. How can one half of the MOST IMPORTANT SHIP IN THE GALAXY be disincluded [1:53:39 AM] Kylo Ren Trash: JJ talked about how star wars is the evolution of a villain and the evolution of a hero and I wonder [1:53:45 AM] Kylo Ren Trash: if people got it backwards [1:53:59 AM] Probably Maz Kanata: Rey becomes the villain and Ben the hero? [1:54:16 AM] Probably Maz Kanata: Idk how I feel about that theory. I've seen it but I'm reserving speculation on it for a while [1:54:30 AM] Kylo Ren Trash: Kanye shrug [1:54:33 AM] Kylo Ren Trash: Idk man maybe [1:54:59 AM] Kylo Ren Trash: We've been presented with classic examples of dark and light characters [1:55:09 AM] Kylo Ren Trash: but the dark character Is overwhelmed with a desire for good [1:55:28 AM] Kylo Ren Trash: and the light character easily dips in and out of the dark as she sees fit [1:55:46 AM] Kylo Ren Trash: and I can't help but wonder if we're going to see an inversion [1:55:53 AM] Probably Maz Kanata: It would be nice to see an ostensibly male skywalker not fuck up tbh. or fuck up, redeem himself, and survive [1:56:36 AM] Kylo Ren Trash: I think the problem with most Dark!Rey fics is that they tend to just... gloss over how the dark side works. Snoke would have to promise her something incredible to lure her in. The truth of her family. A place of belonging better than the resistance [1:56:38 AM] Probably Maz Kanata: Dark!Rey fics rely primarily on her relationship with Kylo twisting her to the dark [1:56:43 AM] Probably Maz Kanata: And that's yucky [1:57:12 AM] Kylo Ren Trash: Rey's not just going to suddenly be dark [1:57:22 AM] Kylo Ren Trash: He's already made it apparent he wants her over Ren at this point [1:58:38 AM] Kylo Ren Trash: I mean Snoke tells her to kill Ren. He senses the weakness in his student, and sees the strength in Rey. It's very telling. And why give us this information if it's not to do something with it? [1:58:45 AM] Probably Maz Kanata: That's definitely a true af point.
