reyna is, first and foremost, a leader

she has a stern quality about her, as if she were carved from marble and brought to life

she's also gorgeous like the marble statues of ancient rome

the apollo lot definitely have a more relaxed attitude and when you first met her you didn't quite know what to do

the roman camp were more organised, highly regimented thanks to reyna's strict but fair exercises

she was also unsure of how to act around you, seeing as octavian was mostly her exposure to apollo

the pair of you got more used to each other as you rose in the ranks and she found herself going to you more and more for advice

she would lie awake wondering why on earth she felt the need to talk to you more than anyone else, why she wanted to be near you, why this seemingly ordinary daughter of apollo had captured her thoughts so completely

it was you who kicked her into realisation

it was a small thing

just a simple thing that happened every day

you saved her a seat and set an orange on her plate

it took her aback when she realised you did this everyday

she sometimes forgot to eat, too wrapped up in her duties but you always made sure she had at least something

she slid into the seat next to you and stared at the fruit on her plate

"you do this every day. you want to sit next to me, you care about me, why?"

you could only laugh lightly at her

"why? i want to sit next to you because i like you, i like being around you and i like making sure you're taking care of yourself even if i have to force it on you."

'twas the start of an adorably awkward (reyna) and incredibly sweet (you) relationship

she is still a professional so no pda is a big thing, especially when she's being commanding and in charge

the first time you heard her giggle you swore you were in love with her, there was no other way that the room could suddenly seem so bright and full of colour

what had happened was your sudden rush of affection had quite literally brightened all the lights in the room

which was slightly embarrassing but reyna found it hilarious so it was worth it

would probably be an absolute chatter box but after realizing how upset you actually are, she makes you get a breath of fresh air

if you’re feeling up for it she will accompany you to a walk on the protocol hq grounds

but if you’re feeling too down she’ll just sit by the window with you, stroking your legs to calm you down

will ask you if you wanted to talk about it and if you say yes, she would sit there with you however long you needed to let it all out

you’re probably the most important person to her in the world and she holds you to a way higher standard than all the other agents

so when she sees you crying, she feels kind of helpless, not really knowing what to do in this situation

so she says exactly that

when you tell her how you feel and what you would like her to do, she complies eagerly, happy because you didn’t tell her to go away but instead wanted her company

not one for pda but will maybe stroke your hand a bit to give you some kind of reassurance that she’s there for you

sage would be the first person you would talk to about your breakdown probably

if you aren’t the type of person to say these things out loud she would also be the type of person to just notice that something is wrong

won’t urge you to tell her about your problems but will silently make you some tea and maybe give you some sweets or something

with her you don’t need to ever feel alone because even in her smallest actions she shows you how special and meaningful you and your emotions are to her

probably would notice that something is wrong as well but wants to give you some space to think about it first

when you tell her about what’s bothering you, she will attentively listen, spinning her knife between her fingers without saying something

if you ask for her advice she will give it to you, but if you don’t specifically mention it, she won’t; if she would’ve been in your shoes she wouldn’t want to be lectured either

afterwards she’ll maybe take you on a walk or a jog, just to get your mind off of things

she maybe would be like “oh no, baby, what’s wrong? tell me” and then keep asking about what is bothering you until you tell her

after she finds out she’ll probably like shake her fist at the problem being like “how dare ___ make you feel so hurt” just to make you laugh

so when you do, she feels a little lighter because she’s not that good at comforting people so humor is her only way to make you feel better

willing to listen to you vent though, she just won’t say anything reassuring or give you advice; maybe she will let you watch her work on her tech accessories or simply rest with you by cuddling

another one who doesn’t really know how to express their concern or feelings

so: quality time!!! watching a movie or something to distract you from your thoughts and make you feel better

if you do feel up for it you can tell her about it; she will listen

but she probably won’t say anything supportive or encouraging

she will show you that by physical attention and small gestures instead like helping you load your guns, polishing your knifes, things that are necessary but maybe would’ve caused you so much stress that you could have another breakdown ( surprise!! she knows all of your weaknesses . )

October had finally started, all at once heavily relieving. Days were quieter and cooler as time went on and the autumn was finally allowed to permeate, and with it came the significant raising of Grey's mood as the frequency of overheating finally lessened.

Saturday evening was falling and the descending sun found Grey whittling along at paperwork at the kitchen table; emails and commissions that had piled up over the week. It was tedious, but calmly monotonous work, allowing them a decently peaceful passage of time, if a little inconvenient.

It was about 11:30 at night, supposedly there would be a meteror shower soon. Reyna was on a midnight trail ride with their horse, Autumn, and their dog, Blitzen. They have never seen a meteror shower before, since they grew up in the rural south where it isnt safe to go out at night.

The breeze of the early autumn air was nice and cool, but soon it will get to be freezing. They have a red sweater on, with some soft, long pants. It covers most of their boots, only the tips of the toe sticking out.

Reyna looked up to see the gorgeous, lengthy galaxy. It was beautiful, and still is. If you find the right spots. The moonlight shining through the trees onto the trio made Autumn and Blitzen glow like a stars, while Reyna sits with the moonlight reflecting off their hair and face. Their eras and tail are partially hidden, though the tail is simply bunched up on the saddle behind them.
