I just completed the ref sheet and pfp, so now i gotta do banner!

I hope u dont mind me wanting to meet Lord Mizar and Alcor-
Using a small jewel Reyn was gifted, they decided to check out some new dimensions. They havent done it in a while, so instead of taking the long tedious route of researching safe dimensions by hacking into one-too-many of some of their friends saved files, they decided to randomize it. Their vision turned black as they traveled and the first thing they felt was a carpet underneath their feet. When they opened their eyes they were surprised to see the interior of a castle before them.
Reyn’s ref sheet is pinned and has more info if u need it-
A flash and- surprise surprise, another interdimensional traveler. Angel ever so cautiously makes his way over, a couple of books held loosely in his arms. He was already halfway away from the magic section so he'd have to walk all that distance back and then the Lord would get upset with him if he didn't find out who came by but he's also not just going to put the books on the floor because he hasn't cleaned it yet this week... So carrying them it is.
Ah, hello?
He almost has to remind himself to be wary sometimes. Most travelers are harmless and overall pleasant but... as his Lord has reminded him time and time again, quite literally anything could come from a portal.

Reyn was shaken out of their thoughts on how well designed the castle was, but quickly turned to face Angel.
Oh-h hi! I uhm- I’m Reyn, i hope u dont mind me just appearing?-
Their tail was out, but their ears were hudden under a bucket hat while their fin was underneath their usual jacket.
One of the more pleasant ones it seems. Hopefully it stays that way.
Angel gives them a friendly enough smile, trying not to focus too much on their tail. It looks really fluffy... He has to force himself to think past it as he's reminded of a certain recent debacle.
I- It happens more often than you'd think, heh. Uh, I- I mostly go by Angel. Are you... are you here for the Lord?
Reyn looks confused for a moment before responding
Oh! No no, i was simply exploring new dimensions and got dropped here, and nice to meet you Angel!
Theydid notice them looking at their tail, and had a hard time figuring out whether he thinks its ugly or just interested. It takes a few bits of severe anxiety but they managed to shut their head up and just hope he is only worried that the fur from their tail might dirty the carpets or floor. It shouldn’t, despite it being Maine Coon fur, they dont know why it doesn’t shed much but it just doesnt.
It's nice to meet you as well but ah, well... All, um, all interdimensional travelers are to be directed to the- to the Lord. It's the rules. Not all visitors are as... friendly as you've been.
He adjusts his hold on his books, not really able to fidget as he would normally with his hands so full. There's a lot to novice magic so these aren't exactly all that light. Angel does at least make a better attempt at not staring, he's had to deal with plenty of that himself.
They understood what he said easily, they know people can be rude. Especially dimensional travelers, they have dealt with their fair share of shit heads.
Well, can u take me to your Lord? And, maybe help you hold those books, your holding to many at once, you may drop them and they could get messed up
Their tail twitched as it lifted to not drag it along the carpet, no need to make whoever’s job it is to clean this pace harder.
The servant tries not to visibly grimace at Reyn's offer. The last time he let someone even touch one of the library's books was because they were an adolescent and he didn't have a clue how to keep them entertained while the Lord was gone. Bad idea thinking on it now.
He cannot stand most people holding any of the books, Lord forbid it's any of the recently created ones. What if they bend it or accidentally tear the pages? They've lasted hundreds of years and even the thought of chancing it has him tense.
The- The Lord! Yes! This way.
He holds the books tighter to himself as he leads them to the not so far throne room doors... which are currently closed. Angel's rays spin sheepishly.
Could you... knock?
Reyn nodded and knocked for him. As they stood outside the large doors, they turned around but hesitated to pat him on the shoulder unsure whether he likes touch or not. They did pat him on the shoulder though, since they could tell he was uncomfortable.
The servant blinks and then gives them a small, appreciative smile at the gesture. His focus quickly shifts to the throne room as the doors open at a dramatic pace. Angel isn't exactly sure he's the one who will needing the support.
He hesitantly steps forward, glancing back just once to confirm that Reyn is following.
My Lord-
Is this really our life now? A constant stream of travelers who think they can just walk into my dimension whenever they want like they own the place?
The Lord gives Reyn a lazy once over but doesn't seem to be all that interested. His flames flicker idly, cheek propped up on a fist.
State your business.
Reyn immediately didn’t like this guy, they know he may get better but they highly doubt it. Despite that, they held their head high and proud as they answered.
Well, Sir, my name is Reyn. My reasons for being here are curiosity, and i am guessing you have had many other visitors with what you said.
They said it with slight annoyance and lying underneath was a angry tone but atleast they were polite with the words. Their tail flicked with annoyance and theur ears would have been pointed if they were not hudden at the moment.
Now, I have already met your servant, may i know your name?
They relaxed when asking this one, for no particular reason other than habit. They dont want to get on his bad side yet, and they know how to stay on someones good side.
He can't say he appreciates the attitude but at least they're not being outright disrespectful and rude. As far as he can tell at least. Doesn't mean he'll like them, not that the Lord likes most people...
Lord Mizar. That is what I'm to be addressed as. Though I suppose "sir" is adequate if you're too lazy for the full title. Other options are "God", "oh holy one", "Lord above all", et cetera, et cetera. The cult's gotten creative with them.
But yes, you would be correct, Reyn. We've been getting all sorts of visitors for all sorts of reasons and each and every one is just as annoying as the last. You don't seem to be as much of a... nuisance as others but you're still disturbing the peace. I would also say that you're distracting my servant but clearly he wasn't doing anything important.
He side eyes Angel who... doesn't really meet his gaze.
Reyn doesn’t exactly scoff but did at the same time.
Your servant has been doing a good job for such a large place i say, it has been a while since i have seen a castle so clean. Secondly, I dont want to be a nuissance, but if in some specific way im disturbing the peace do tell so i can avoid doing that. Thirdly, from what i heard he is ordered to bring visitors here, so i wouldn’t be distracting him if he is required to do this.
They tried to keep their tail from lashing and only barely succeded
You are distracting him in the fact that he wouldn't have to bring you here if you weren't here in the first place. He wasn't even cleaning, those books he's got are for his little friend he made. Thinks he can teach him magic. But, again, that's another annoyance that just-

Would a little tour of the library appease you, hm? It would actually give Alcor something important to do.
I personally think that Alcor finding interest in something and having a friend is good, but no. I came here to learn about this dimension and you are the lord, i would prefer talking to you about this universe.
Their posture was straight and they didn’t show any signs of being rude this time. Their tone was more commanding though, in a way that you can tell they wont leave without this.
Lord Mizar is clearly less than thrilled about Reyn's decision. Unless they're some kind of threat, it's really just easier to hand travelers off to Alcor. Most of them are happy to see the castle and be done with it. His servant has more patience than he does for the mindless conversation.

But, as much as he can tell that he wants to, Alcor doesn't get to leave. The Lord hasn't forgotten his servant's pettiness from the other day and he himself can be just as petty when he wants to be.
Go on then, what sort of intriguing details would you like to know about my kingdom?
I simply want to know the basics of this dimension, i guesisng its a Lord Eclipse dimension. So, everyone dead or people still alive, and have you had a wither thrown at you yet?
You would be correct. Way, way back when, where other Eclipse's failed, I defeated Bloodmoon. Killed the bratty half then snatched the Star for myself. It all went so smoothly too...
Aside from Alcor and myself, you wouldn't recognize anyone here. Their existence had no purpose so I didn't waste any star power on them. There's the cult in Cacumen, and then the two smaller towns Orir and Cadere. Somehow those two groups are less of a bother than the cult, different dimensions and all that...
And yes. Two actually. I killed one centuries ago, the other I had no interest in fighting and... released into another dimension. That one was much more recent but small enough to move without issue.
Reyn sighed. They would much rather a friend than an enemy, as Helios Knows what may happen in the future. If they they have to feel their dimension or hide in another for some time they would rather not having a dimension this protected be crossed out due to petty arguments.
Well, Lord Mizar, my trasnportation back to my dimension wont be possible for the next.. 23 or so hours, is there is anywhere i may stay where i wont cause trouble during this stay?

The Lord taps his fingers along the arm of his throne irritably.
Yes. There's a small building just outside the castle on the right. Typically one of my servants will use it when she needs to be in the area for a few days but currently it's unoccupied. And don't think I'm letting you stay in someone else's home, it's a guest house by all means.
Perhaps Alcor can take you there when he's no longer occupied.
While his expression reveals little, the servant's fingers twitch against the books in his grasp. It's not that he wouldn't mind... he was just really looking forward to other things at the moment. Of course his Lord knows this...
Alcor can explain to me the way to go and ill be on my way, since he very clearly has stuff to do
Reyns tail twitched and their eyes were sharp btu not exactly rude, only slightly challenging
Angel very quickly speaks up. The Lord never appreciates attempts at overruling his commands for his servant. The constant fire burning from his body makes for a surprisingly good warning of his moods.
Ah, I- I can do that. I just need to... to put these books, um...
Said aforementioned books are suddenly yanked from his grasp by an invisible force, meeting the Lord's raised hand.
That... That works.
Well? Off with you two then.
Reyn nodded and tilt their head towards Angel

Oh! Yes, s- sorry. It's- It's just out this way here...
He casts a disappointed look back at the books before motioning for Reyn to follow back out into the library. The throne room doors shut behind them as he leads them to the front doors.
Um, I was... curious. What kind of- sort of, ah, device or whatnot do you use for dimensional travel? I- I feel like having to wait a whole day is- is a long time, you know?
Reyn looked up at Angel
An old gift from an even older friend, wasn’t made to be conveniant, made to get stuff done... Specifically flee, but that doesnt matter.
Reyn’s tail was still being kept up above the rugs to keep Angel or other servants from having a hard time getting it out.
Angel nods along, pushing open one of the large entrance doors when they arrive. He has to force himself to not go back to staring at their tail, it really is just that fluffy...
I... I guess if it works, it works.
He does get a little curious on what exactly Reyn would be fleeing from but he decides against asking with how quickly they dismiss the subject. It's not his business to know.
Ah, um, you wouldn't mind if I look through the house a little, would you? I just- I just want to be sure Tigerlily didn't leave anything behind.
And also to be sure the place wasn't a mess on the interior. Those feathers of hers get everywhere...

When they reach the cottage, Angel has to give the door a good tug to open it. There is a key but it's not like anyone would come up here to disturb something in such close proximity to the Lord's castle. He leaves the door open, letting Reyn follow if they wish.
A small, cat-shaped shadow creature thing stands in the center of the entrance room. It's sniffing around in clear boredom.
Oh! Umbra? What are doing here?
Reyn followed in behind them and saw the cat-shaped shadow. Their first instinct was to grab Angel and pull him back, but it seems to be a friendly entity. Not a demon. Apparently. Their tail swished across the floor in warning and their eyes narrowed sharply. They didn’t pull their ears back, though, they didn’t want to fight, just warn. Though they probably didn’t look to threatening with an overly fluffy tail, cats would usually understand that it is a warning.
Its name is Umbra?
They spoke with a low tone as they continued looking at the shadow, not exactly glaring but on edge.
Mhm! C'mere Umbra! Pspsps.
He holds out a hand for the cat, waiting for it to notice them. It does indeed, it's ears perking up and turning its faceless head in their direction. It slinks over to the two of them and slips up Angel's arm like it's done a million times before. There's a dark substance on its chin, more opaque than the rest of its form. Angel huffs and starts inspecting the rug once he spots it.
Unfortunately its- it's the messiest cat I've ever had, always comes back with blood in its fur. Still don't really... know where my other cats ended up... N- Not that I'm that great with pets anyways.
Umbra climbs up onto Angel's shoulder, finally noticing Reyn. It stares at them, eerily still. Once he gets to moving again to do the intended inspection of the rest of the room, it's ears drop flat against it's head.
But I've- I've heard cats like to wander so I just... let them do that.
Reyn returns the sentiment by pinning their own ears back at the cat, preferably would lash their tail but Angel is here and it probably wouldnt look so dignified to end up in a fight with something less than a quarter their size.

They finished their sentence with clicking from their teeth, putting emphasis on good. They slowly unsheathed their claws and glared at it. It is unsettling, and they already know that those unsetlling in nature are quite unsettling in personality, mostly bloodthirst. Or they were just being terriorial, which would be weird even though their DNA is spliced into 3 of the most territorial creatures, since they are in a new place.
Angel simply hums in response, moving to continue looking around the comfortably small cabin. He's pretty quick with it and returns in the middle of giving Umbra affectionate scritches behind the ears. The shadow is emitting a happy rumble, absolutely soaking in the attention.
Okay! I- I didn't see anything, she's pretty neat anyways. But yeah! Um... Is- Is something wrong?
Only now did he notice the sour look Reyn was giving his direction. Umbra's direction?
Ah, I- I'm sorry! I- Do you not like cats?
Funny, seeing how they are a cat basically, but no. They do not hate cats. They hate this cat. very different.
No, I’m fine with cats, just remembered something
They tried to stop glaring at the cat and luckily got their ears to stand up straight even if they were twitching occasionally
Oh, al- alright. Well the place is all, um, all set for you. The rooms are clean, the bed is made, there- there isn't really all that much food wise... I- I think there's some, ah, magically preserved grain type foods in the cabinets? It- It should be safe to eat. ... If you get really hungry that is. ... Or! I mean- You can- You can use the kitchen in the castle, if you want. Just- Just let me know afterwards so I can clean it up, please.
He doesn't mind one bit when Umbra climbs along to lay across his shoulders. It's ears are perked again and it's tail is swaying lazily but it still keeps its head pointed in Reyn's direction.
So I... I think that's everything?

Reyn tried their best not to return the glare from Umbra, and somehow succeded.
It's getting late so I- I'll leave you to it. If you need anything I'll, um, probably be in the library.
He steps around Reyn and to the door, pausing to motion to the small side table.
Oh, the, um, the key is right there. The... The cult usually doesn't come up here but it's- it's up to you.
He steps out the door with an awkward wave.
Okay. Bye.
Reyn waves awkwardly back while grabbing the key. They watched until Angel was a good ways away for no exact reason not because of any weird cat or anything, but then they closed the door and locked it.

They sighed, still havent done anything, too scared to since they are a quest. They do look out the windows quite alot and they found a pen and pencil somewhere, which ended up with them drawing anything they saw.
The building is situated in a very quiet, almost lonely area. It sits on the same raised area that the castle does which, really, makes it look more like some sort of shack in comparison. There's only a few trees scattered outside and even during the day there was only a single bird singing. The prominent lack of places for wildlife to live combined with the overall silence of the place makes it rather difficult to excuse the sudden scratching and thunk in the kitchen.
Out of instinct they jumped up from where they were sitting on the window ledge and padded over to the kitchen with silent steps. They know it’s likely just that… cat. Maybe it was coming back to claw at them and annoy them or something. Seems like something that cat would do. They have since excused the strange cat as them just being paranoid, but they still don’t like it.
They peered into the kitchen being careful not to step into full view incase it isn’t that cat, and is in fact something else.
Whatever it is is indeed not a cat. The cloaked figure is standing, crouched on the counter and hunched over an open drawer. It's clawed fingers meet it's arms in a messy clump of fur on the wrists, the same of which can be seen in a wispier style on the end of it's tail. A soft red glow outlines the areas it looks and the tips of goblin-like ears can be seen just under the furred hood. But most important to note, it has the same transparency as a certain little kitty from earlier.
Mm. Stupid humans, so easy to manipulate and just as forgetful. Where oh where...
It grumbles and chitters as it searches. Despite the initial, what, climbing through a window? it's fairly quiet in it's endeavor, save the occasional screech of talons against the counter as it shifts around.
Ok weird. Maybe shadow creature things are common around here. They may be able to shift into a cat form but they highly doubt many others can so they swiftly cross out that possibility. They reached down a hand towards their belt, maybe they would be able to kill it with a well aimed shot from their handgun. That plan was crossed out soon after Reyn realized they were a fucking idiot and forgot all of their weapons at their cabin.
They could wrestle the thing, but they would rather not doing that since it seems to have some wicked looking claws. Confrontation is never the best in this situation so they crouch down to be more hidden behind the door frame as they watch the cloaked figure rummage through drawers and cabinets.
The creature pauses. It's head tilts just the slightest in Reyn's direction, listening. After a tense moment it huffs and goes back to rummaging. Clearly it's not having much success in what it's looking for because one moment it's got it's hand in the drawer and the next it's yanked it out to shake it upside-down.
Not here... it's supposed to be here...
It abandons it's search there and drops down from the counter only to climb the fridge instead, tail hanging behind it and twitching in it's impatience.
Mm. If that cat person took it... Oh! Theerree you are.
It's talons scrabble at the fridge as it pulls itself up, a successful cackle sounding out from it where it hunches on top.
Reyn froze. Cat person? Likely them, but maybe not because they didn’t mention the shark fin- and nevermind they had a jacket on that throughly covered it and squished it against their back. They were about to leap out and try to grab the… thing, since they do have a size advantage, but it would be quite hard to get across the kitchen unnoticed until they are within distance to grab the thing.
Their tail flicked in frustration and their own claws dug into the wooden floor beneath them.
Mm. Sneaky, sneaky...
It chitters gleefully, sliding down from the furniture and landing with a thump. The fluffy hood around it's face falls back just enough for it's ears to poke out.
Thought they were being sneaky...
It pockets the small item it'd obtained and then cocks it's head in Reyn's direction once more.
Curiosity killed the cat, you know.
Yet satisfaction brought it back
They for some reason finished the quote, not quite knowing why they did so themselves.
Reyn stood up and straightened to their full height, nearly hitting their ears against the ceiling. But, it was by far worth it when they had to tilt their head almost entirely down and see the creature having tot lit its head almost entirely up to meet their gaze. It isn’t often they stand at their full height, they usually prefer posture that makes them seem shorter.
Their tail flicked with irritation as their arms crossed over their chest.
So, watcha doin’ ove’there, bud?
For some godforsaken reason their voice slipped into their fucking southern accent. They are usually better at this, cause southern accents are not threatening in the slightest.
Their eyes glared down at the shadowy creature infront of them and they smirked. The size difference was even better up close.
Not every cat.
It chuckles low as if it knows something Reyn doesn't. The hood gets tugged back down, only the red glow of its eyes visible... and two tiny fangs when it speaks.
Mm. Wouldn't you like to know? Seems like a certain kitty isn't just curious but nosy too.
Even when it has to nearly strain its neck just to meet their gaze it doesn't appear intimidated in the slightest. Its tail swishes lazily, furred end sweeping against the floorboards. It's having fun.
One careful step in the direction of the door and it's testing the waters.
Normal people would be sleeping at this time. So why aren't you? No need to worry over what's mine.
Reyn leaned against the doorframe
I appeciate u calling me normal but it is quite uncommon that i find myself sleeping in another dimension, so ofcourse im awake.
They clicked their tongue as they spoke and tried not to claw the guys face off yet
It huffs, staring.
Mm. I thought you looked unfamiliar. But in that case, you wouldn't have any problem with me leaving.
The creature darts over to the front door, preferring to use it's claws to unlock it. Apparently it's not as easy as it thought it would be as it gets more aggressive and grumbly with the lock after a mere moment.
Of course the only thing he does right in his life is locks...
Reyn padded up behind it and grabbed tis shoulder with a tight grip

Mm. Friend is a stretch. I'm more of a... long lost annoyance to a particular someone's psyche. Not your problem technically... but someone else's problem!
There's a click from the door knob and it perks up, of course it was still attempting that. It's half closest to Reyn becomes considerably transparent until their hand is only grasping at air.
Oh? I'm sorry, did you need something?
It kicks open the door and skitters up the doorframe and outside. It peeks it's head back in upside down, cheeky grin visible from the angle.
Unfortunately, I can't hang around. You'll have to forgive me, I've got places to be and things to see. Nighttime doesn't last forever after all.
Reyn growled and they leaped forward to try to grab the demonic being, but they nearly hit their head on the doorframe like an idiot and missed. Luckily, they were able to pull it off without looking like they were gonna hit the doorframe and kept their dignity. Taunting usually works with demonic entities, hopefully it will work with this one.
Well leaving a witness likely isnt desirable, too scared to stay to cover your tracks? After all, im new here and hold no grudges against anybody or anything so they would likely believe me if i went to them and mentioned a entity breaking in and taking something, whether it is yours or not.
They grinned as they leaned against the edge of the wall and gestured to the creature’s hands.
Oh? So you're a snitch then. Mm. I could but you're... weird. You smell funny. I have this feeeling you won't be worth the trouble.
It yawns, bored with the threat, and flexes it's claws against the doorframe.
Besides, those two are too busy sucking on each other's faces to care. Especially not when Not S- Eclipse doesn't even bother to check the cult anymore. I'll be gone by the time you make a peep.
Reyn stepped back. They weren’t winning this fight. No matter how much they wish they could, they knew it was an inevitable loss, it is better to step back while they are still unscathed.
It chuckles low and deep, pointing a claw in their direction mockingly.
Mm. Smart little kitty. Or whatever you are...
The movement is a bit awkward but it turns itself around and scampers up the side of the building.
Nighty night! Don't let the creepy crawlies bite!
There's cackling followed by footsteps on the roof and then silence once again. Whatever it was is gone for now.
Reyn’s ears fell flat back at being called ‘little kitty’ again. God, be creative if you’re gonna belittle someone!
They hissed as they closed the door and headed back inside. They should clean up the glass… they’ll start doing that, they already know they aren’t sleeping.
It's a few hours after sunrise when there's a polite knock at the door. Seems Angel's come back. And he's got the decency to not just barge in.
Ah, Reyn? I- I just came to check up on you!
Reyn was just finishing up fixing the window frame, that shadow thing did a number when breaking it. They sighed and walked to the door with slow and heavy steps, but before they opened it they did fix their posture to look more dignified instead of a mess.
The door opened with a creak and small claw marks could be seen on the inside from Reyn’s annoyance at the demon.
Oh hi! I am alright, thank you for checking though!

Angel stares at the fairly obvious scratches, a finger raised to point vaguely at them with his mouth slightly agape. He peeks past them to look into the kitchen area, face scrunching up.
Are- Are you sure?
None of it would really be a difficult fix, minor inconveniences at best but... He's really trying his hardest not to judge.

Reyn winced.
Yeah I’m fine- just some bird got in somehow…
They have birds here right? They hope they do. Their tail flicked nervously but no one would know that except them.
His focus discreetly turns to their cat-like features. ... All he can imagine is the chaos of them chasing around a bird in an enclosed space. That's the only explanation for the claw marks... he isn't sure he wants to press further. Angel clears his throat and is suddenly very glad he's good at keeping a straight face.
Okay! Well, um... You- You've only got a few more hours before you can leave, right? Will you, uh, will you be fine here or is there... anything you might need or...?
Reyn shook their head.

They said a little more defensively, and their ears very slightly pulled back.

A flash and- surprise surprise, another interdimensional traveler. Angel ever so cautiously makes his way over, a couple of books held loosely in his arms. He was already halfway away from the magic section so he'd have to walk all that distance back and then the Lord would get upset with him if he didn't find out who came by but he's also not just going to put the books on the floor because he hasn't cleaned it yet this week... So carrying them it is.

He almost has to remind himself to be wary sometimes. Most travelers are harmless and overall pleasant but... as his Lord has reminded him time and time again, quite literally anything could come from a portal.

Reyn was shaken out of their thoughts on how well designed the castle was, but quickly turned to face Angel.

Their tail was out, but their ears were hudden under a bucket hat while their fin was underneath their usual jacket.
One of the more pleasant ones it seems. Hopefully it stays that way.
Angel gives them a friendly enough smile, trying not to focus too much on their tail. It looks really fluffy... He has to force himself to think past it as he's reminded of a certain recent debacle.

Reyn looks confused for a moment before responding
Oh! No no, i was simply exploring new dimensions and got dropped here, and nice to meet you Angel!
Theydid notice them looking at their tail, and had a hard time figuring out whether he thinks its ugly or just interested. It takes a few bits of severe anxiety but they managed to shut their head up and just hope he is only worried that the fur from their tail might dirty the carpets or floor. It shouldn’t, despite it being Maine Coon fur, they dont know why it doesn’t shed much but it just doesnt.
It's nice to meet you as well but ah, well... All, um, all interdimensional travelers are to be directed to the- to the Lord. It's the rules. Not all visitors are as... friendly as you've been.
He adjusts his hold on his books, not really able to fidget as he would normally with his hands so full. There's a lot to novice magic so these aren't exactly all that light. Angel does at least make a better attempt at not staring, he's had to deal with plenty of that himself.
They understood what he said easily, they know people can be rude. Especially dimensional travelers, they have dealt with their fair share of shit heads.
Well, can u take me to your Lord? And, maybe help you hold those books, your holding to many at once, you may drop them and they could get messed up
Their tail twitched as it lifted to not drag it along the carpet, no need to make whoever’s job it is to clean this pace harder.
The servant tries not to visibly grimace at Reyn's offer. The last time he let someone even touch one of the library's books was because they were an adolescent and he didn't have a clue how to keep them entertained while the Lord was gone. Bad idea thinking on it now.
He cannot stand most people holding any of the books, Lord forbid it's any of the recently created ones. What if they bend it or accidentally tear the pages? They've lasted hundreds of years and even the thought of chancing it has him tense.

He holds the books tighter to himself as he leads them to the not so far throne room doors... which are currently closed. Angel's rays spin sheepishly.
Could you... knock?
Reyn nodded and knocked for him. As they stood outside the large doors, they turned around but hesitated to pat him on the shoulder unsure whether he likes touch or not. They did pat him on the shoulder though, since they could tell he was uncomfortable.
The servant blinks and then gives them a small, appreciative smile at the gesture. His focus quickly shifts to the throne room as the doors open at a dramatic pace. Angel isn't exactly sure he's the one who will needing the support.
He hesitantly steps forward, glancing back just once to confirm that Reyn is following.

Is this really our life now? A constant stream of travelers who think they can just walk into my dimension whenever they want like they own the place?
The Lord gives Reyn a lazy once over but doesn't seem to be all that interested. His flames flicker idly, cheek propped up on a fist.

Reyn immediately didn’t like this guy, they know he may get better but they highly doubt it. Despite that, they held their head high and proud as they answered.

They said it with slight annoyance and lying underneath was a angry tone but atleast they were polite with the words. Their tail flicked with annoyance and theur ears would have been pointed if they were not hudden at the moment.

They relaxed when asking this one, for no particular reason other than habit. They dont want to get on his bad side yet, and they know how to stay on someones good side.
He can't say he appreciates the attitude but at least they're not being outright disrespectful and rude. As far as he can tell at least. Doesn't mean he'll like them, not that the Lord likes most people...
Lord Mizar. That is what I'm to be addressed as. Though I suppose "sir" is adequate if you're too lazy for the full title. Other options are "God", "oh holy one", "Lord above all", et cetera, et cetera. The cult's gotten creative with them.
But yes, you would be correct, Reyn. We've been getting all sorts of visitors for all sorts of reasons and each and every one is just as annoying as the last. You don't seem to be as much of a... nuisance as others but you're still disturbing the peace. I would also say that you're distracting my servant but clearly he wasn't doing anything important.

I personally think that Alcor finding interest in something and having a friend is good, but no. I came here to learn about this dimension and you are the lord, i would prefer talking to you about this universe.
Their posture was straight and they didn’t show any signs of being rude this time. Their tone was more commanding though, in a way that you can tell they wont leave without this.
Lord Mizar is clearly less than thrilled about Reyn's decision. Unless they're some kind of threat, it's really just easier to hand travelers off to Alcor. Most of them are happy to see the castle and be done with it. His servant has more patience than he does for the mindless conversation.

I simply want to know the basics of this dimension, i guesisng its a Lord Eclipse dimension. So, everyone dead or people still alive, and have you had a wither thrown at you yet?
You would be correct. Way, way back when, where other Eclipse's failed, I defeated Bloodmoon. Killed the bratty half then snatched the Star for myself. It all went so smoothly too...
Aside from Alcor and myself, you wouldn't recognize anyone here. Their existence had no purpose so I didn't waste any star power on them. There's the cult in Cacumen, and then the two smaller towns Orir and Cadere. Somehow those two groups are less of a bother than the cult, different dimensions and all that...
And yes. Two actually. I killed one centuries ago, the other I had no interest in fighting and... released into another dimension. That one was much more recent but small enough to move without issue.
Reyn sighed. They would much rather a friend than an enemy, as Helios Knows what may happen in the future. If they they have to feel their dimension or hide in another for some time they would rather not having a dimension this protected be crossed out due to petty arguments.

The Lord taps his fingers along the arm of his throne irritably.
Yes. There's a small building just outside the castle on the right. Typically one of my servants will use it when she needs to be in the area for a few days but currently it's unoccupied. And don't think I'm letting you stay in someone else's home, it's a guest house by all means.
Perhaps Alcor can take you there when he's no longer occupied.
While his expression reveals little, the servant's fingers twitch against the books in his grasp. It's not that he wouldn't mind... he was just really looking forward to other things at the moment. Of course his Lord knows this...

Angel very quickly speaks up. The Lord never appreciates attempts at overruling his commands for his servant. The constant fire burning from his body makes for a surprisingly good warning of his moods.

Said aforementioned books are suddenly yanked from his grasp by an invisible force, meeting the Lord's raised hand.

He casts a disappointed look back at the books before motioning for Reyn to follow back out into the library. The throne room doors shut behind them as he leads them to the front doors.
Um, I was... curious. What kind of- sort of, ah, device or whatnot do you use for dimensional travel? I- I feel like having to wait a whole day is- is a long time, you know?

An old gift from an even older friend, wasn’t made to be conveniant, made to get stuff done... Specifically flee, but that doesnt matter.
Reyn’s tail was still being kept up above the rugs to keep Angel or other servants from having a hard time getting it out.
Angel nods along, pushing open one of the large entrance doors when they arrive. He has to force himself to not go back to staring at their tail, it really is just that fluffy...

He does get a little curious on what exactly Reyn would be fleeing from but he decides against asking with how quickly they dismiss the subject. It's not his business to know.

When they reach the cottage, Angel has to give the door a good tug to open it. There is a key but it's not like anyone would come up here to disturb something in such close proximity to the Lord's castle. He leaves the door open, letting Reyn follow if they wish.
A small, cat-shaped shadow creature thing stands in the center of the entrance room. It's sniffing around in clear boredom.
Oh! Umbra? What are doing here?
Reyn followed in behind them and saw the cat-shaped shadow. Their first instinct was to grab Angel and pull him back, but it seems to be a friendly entity. Not a demon. Apparently. Their tail swished across the floor in warning and their eyes narrowed sharply. They didn’t pull their ears back, though, they didn’t want to fight, just warn. Though they probably didn’t look to threatening with an overly fluffy tail, cats would usually understand that it is a warning.
Its name is Umbra?
They spoke with a low tone as they continued looking at the shadow, not exactly glaring but on edge.
Mhm! C'mere Umbra! Pspsps.
He holds out a hand for the cat, waiting for it to notice them. It does indeed, it's ears perking up and turning its faceless head in their direction. It slinks over to the two of them and slips up Angel's arm like it's done a million times before. There's a dark substance on its chin, more opaque than the rest of its form. Angel huffs and starts inspecting the rug once he spots it.
Unfortunately its- it's the messiest cat I've ever had, always comes back with blood in its fur. Still don't really... know where my other cats ended up... N- Not that I'm that great with pets anyways.
Umbra climbs up onto Angel's shoulder, finally noticing Reyn. It stares at them, eerily still. Once he gets to moving again to do the intended inspection of the rest of the room, it's ears drop flat against it's head.
But I've- I've heard cats like to wander so I just... let them do that.
Reyn returns the sentiment by pinning their own ears back at the cat, preferably would lash their tail but Angel is here and it probably wouldnt look so dignified to end up in a fight with something less than a quarter their size.

They finished their sentence with clicking from their teeth, putting emphasis on good. They slowly unsheathed their claws and glared at it. It is unsettling, and they already know that those unsetlling in nature are quite unsettling in personality, mostly bloodthirst. Or they were just being terriorial, which would be weird even though their DNA is spliced into 3 of the most territorial creatures, since they are in a new place.
Angel simply hums in response, moving to continue looking around the comfortably small cabin. He's pretty quick with it and returns in the middle of giving Umbra affectionate scritches behind the ears. The shadow is emitting a happy rumble, absolutely soaking in the attention.
Okay! I- I didn't see anything, she's pretty neat anyways. But yeah! Um... Is- Is something wrong?
Only now did he notice the sour look Reyn was giving his direction. Umbra's direction?
Ah, I- I'm sorry! I- Do you not like cats?
Funny, seeing how they are a cat basically, but no. They do not hate cats. They hate this cat. very different.

They tried to stop glaring at the cat and luckily got their ears to stand up straight even if they were twitching occasionally
Oh, al- alright. Well the place is all, um, all set for you. The rooms are clean, the bed is made, there- there isn't really all that much food wise... I- I think there's some, ah, magically preserved grain type foods in the cabinets? It- It should be safe to eat. ... If you get really hungry that is. ... Or! I mean- You can- You can use the kitchen in the castle, if you want. Just- Just let me know afterwards so I can clean it up, please.
He doesn't mind one bit when Umbra climbs along to lay across his shoulders. It's ears are perked again and it's tail is swaying lazily but it still keeps its head pointed in Reyn's direction.

He steps around Reyn and to the door, pausing to motion to the small side table.

He steps out the door with an awkward wave.

Reyn waves awkwardly back while grabbing the key. They watched until Angel was a good ways away for no exact reason not because of any weird cat or anything, but then they closed the door and locked it.

They sighed, still havent done anything, too scared to since they are a quest. They do look out the windows quite alot and they found a pen and pencil somewhere, which ended up with them drawing anything they saw.
The building is situated in a very quiet, almost lonely area. It sits on the same raised area that the castle does which, really, makes it look more like some sort of shack in comparison. There's only a few trees scattered outside and even during the day there was only a single bird singing. The prominent lack of places for wildlife to live combined with the overall silence of the place makes it rather difficult to excuse the sudden scratching and thunk in the kitchen.
Out of instinct they jumped up from where they were sitting on the window ledge and padded over to the kitchen with silent steps. They know it’s likely just that… cat. Maybe it was coming back to claw at them and annoy them or something. Seems like something that cat would do. They have since excused the strange cat as them just being paranoid, but they still don’t like it.
They peered into the kitchen being careful not to step into full view incase it isn’t that cat, and is in fact something else.
Whatever it is is indeed not a cat. The cloaked figure is standing, crouched on the counter and hunched over an open drawer. It's clawed fingers meet it's arms in a messy clump of fur on the wrists, the same of which can be seen in a wispier style on the end of it's tail. A soft red glow outlines the areas it looks and the tips of goblin-like ears can be seen just under the furred hood. But most important to note, it has the same transparency as a certain little kitty from earlier.
Mm. Stupid humans, so easy to manipulate and just as forgetful. Where oh where...
It grumbles and chitters as it searches. Despite the initial, what, climbing through a window? it's fairly quiet in it's endeavor, save the occasional screech of talons against the counter as it shifts around.
Ok weird. Maybe shadow creature things are common around here. They may be able to shift into a cat form but they highly doubt many others can so they swiftly cross out that possibility. They reached down a hand towards their belt, maybe they would be able to kill it with a well aimed shot from their handgun. That plan was crossed out soon after Reyn realized they were a fucking idiot and forgot all of their weapons at their cabin.
They could wrestle the thing, but they would rather not doing that since it seems to have some wicked looking claws. Confrontation is never the best in this situation so they crouch down to be more hidden behind the door frame as they watch the cloaked figure rummage through drawers and cabinets.
The creature pauses. It's head tilts just the slightest in Reyn's direction, listening. After a tense moment it huffs and goes back to rummaging. Clearly it's not having much success in what it's looking for because one moment it's got it's hand in the drawer and the next it's yanked it out to shake it upside-down.
Not here... it's supposed to be here...
It abandons it's search there and drops down from the counter only to climb the fridge instead, tail hanging behind it and twitching in it's impatience.
Mm. If that cat person took it... Oh! Theerree you are.
It's talons scrabble at the fridge as it pulls itself up, a successful cackle sounding out from it where it hunches on top.
Reyn froze. Cat person? Likely them, but maybe not because they didn’t mention the shark fin- and nevermind they had a jacket on that throughly covered it and squished it against their back. They were about to leap out and try to grab the… thing, since they do have a size advantage, but it would be quite hard to get across the kitchen unnoticed until they are within distance to grab the thing.
Their tail flicked in frustration and their own claws dug into the wooden floor beneath them.
Mm. Sneaky, sneaky...
It chitters gleefully, sliding down from the furniture and landing with a thump. The fluffy hood around it's face falls back just enough for it's ears to poke out.
Thought they were being sneaky...
It pockets the small item it'd obtained and then cocks it's head in Reyn's direction once more.

They for some reason finished the quote, not quite knowing why they did so themselves.
Reyn stood up and straightened to their full height, nearly hitting their ears against the ceiling. But, it was by far worth it when they had to tilt their head almost entirely down and see the creature having tot lit its head almost entirely up to meet their gaze. It isn’t often they stand at their full height, they usually prefer posture that makes them seem shorter.
Their tail flicked with irritation as their arms crossed over their chest.

For some godforsaken reason their voice slipped into their fucking southern accent. They are usually better at this, cause southern accents are not threatening in the slightest.
Their eyes glared down at the shadowy creature infront of them and they smirked. The size difference was even better up close.

It chuckles low as if it knows something Reyn doesn't. The hood gets tugged back down, only the red glow of its eyes visible... and two tiny fangs when it speaks.
Mm. Wouldn't you like to know? Seems like a certain kitty isn't just curious but nosy too.
Even when it has to nearly strain its neck just to meet their gaze it doesn't appear intimidated in the slightest. Its tail swishes lazily, furred end sweeping against the floorboards. It's having fun.
One careful step in the direction of the door and it's testing the waters.
Normal people would be sleeping at this time. So why aren't you? No need to worry over what's mine.

The creature darts over to the front door, preferring to use it's claws to unlock it. Apparently it's not as easy as it thought it would be as it gets more aggressive and grumbly with the lock after a mere moment.
Of course the only thing he does right in his life is locks...

There's a click from the door knob and it perks up, of course it was still attempting that. It's half closest to Reyn becomes considerably transparent until their hand is only grasping at air.

It kicks open the door and skitters up the doorframe and outside. It peeks it's head back in upside down, cheeky grin visible from the angle.
Unfortunately, I can't hang around. You'll have to forgive me, I've got places to be and things to see. Nighttime doesn't last forever after all.
Reyn growled and they leaped forward to try to grab the demonic being, but they nearly hit their head on the doorframe like an idiot and missed. Luckily, they were able to pull it off without looking like they were gonna hit the doorframe and kept their dignity. Taunting usually works with demonic entities, hopefully it will work with this one.
Well leaving a witness likely isnt desirable, too scared to stay to cover your tracks? After all, im new here and hold no grudges against anybody or anything so they would likely believe me if i went to them and mentioned a entity breaking in and taking something, whether it is yours or not.
They grinned as they leaned against the edge of the wall and gestured to the creature’s hands.

It yawns, bored with the threat, and flexes it's claws against the doorframe.

Reyn stepped back. They weren’t winning this fight. No matter how much they wish they could, they knew it was an inevitable loss, it is better to step back while they are still unscathed.

The movement is a bit awkward but it turns itself around and scampers up the side of the building.

There's cackling followed by footsteps on the roof and then silence once again. Whatever it was is gone for now.

They hissed as they closed the door and headed back inside. They should clean up the glass… they’ll start doing that, they already know they aren’t sleeping.
It's a few hours after sunrise when there's a polite knock at the door. Seems Angel's come back. And he's got the decency to not just barge in.
Ah, Reyn? I- I just came to check up on you!
Reyn was just finishing up fixing the window frame, that shadow thing did a number when breaking it. They sighed and walked to the door with slow and heavy steps, but before they opened it they did fix their posture to look more dignified instead of a mess.
The door opened with a creak and small claw marks could be seen on the inside from Reyn’s annoyance at the demon.

Angel stares at the fairly obvious scratches, a finger raised to point vaguely at them with his mouth slightly agape. He peeks past them to look into the kitchen area, face scrunching up.
Are- Are you sure?
None of it would really be a difficult fix, minor inconveniences at best but... He's really trying his hardest not to judge.

His focus discreetly turns to their cat-like features. ... All he can imagine is the chaos of them chasing around a bird in an enclosed space. That's the only explanation for the claw marks... he isn't sure he wants to press further. Angel clears his throat and is suddenly very glad he's good at keeping a straight face.
Okay! Well, um... You- You've only got a few more hours before you can leave, right? Will you, uh, will you be fine here or is there... anything you might need or...?

Virion was asleep on the couch with his pets, having gotten used to this life in Reyn’s cabin, even though they had been gone for a little while. He dreamed about Blossom and hoped that he would see her again, except when he was back to normal size. Soon enough, a small light appeared. It then proceeded to grant him his wish, sprinkling magic onto him as he started to grow back to normal. The light then vanished as he started to wake up.
Reyn groaned as the walked back into the camp, everything was too goddamn bright. That or the barn they were in trying to catch a ghoul in the act of possessing people was dark. They sat on a bench, taking a moment to breathe before they go back to their cabin.
*Virion sat up carefully, looking down sleepily at his now normal sized feet before his eyes started to widen in surprise* I’m… I’m back? *he decided to test this by checking his leg, which had already healed itself properly*
Reyn was pissy at the moment, still taking a break before they enter their cabin.

Reyn paused in the open door before immediately punching Virion in the face and pushing him to the floor

Reyn groaned as the walked back into the camp, everything was too goddamn bright. That or the barn they were in trying to catch a ghoul in the act of possessing people was dark. They sat on a bench, taking a moment to breathe before they go back to their cabin.
*Virion sat up carefully, looking down sleepily at his now normal sized feet before his eyes started to widen in surprise* I’m… I’m back? *he decided to test this by checking his leg, which had already healed itself properly*
Reyn was pissy at the moment, still taking a break before they enter their cabin.
*he was about to cheer until he saw them and grinned* Hey, Reyn, guess what? I’m not small anymore!
Reyn paused in the open door before immediately punching Virion in the face and pushing him to the floor
*he grunted and fell back, glaring at them a bit* What the hell was that for?!
It took a moment for Reyn to process exactly who was standing infront of them. They kind of just stared at Virion with hazy and confused eyes. They did not have enough energy for this shit.

Using a small jewel Reyn was gifted, they decided to check out some new dimensions. They havent done it in a while, so instead of taking the long tedious route of researching safe dimensions by hacking into one-too-many of some of their friends saved files, they decided to randomize it. Their vision turned black as they traveled and the first thing they felt was a carpet underneath their feet. When they opened their eyes they were surprised to see the interior of a castle before them.

A flash and- surprise surprise, another interdimensional traveler. Angel ever so cautiously makes his way over, a couple of books held loosely in his arms. He was already halfway away from the magic section so he'd have to walk all that distance back and then the Lord would get upset with him if he didn't find out who came by but he's also not just going to put the books on the floor because he hasn't cleaned it yet this week... So carrying them it is.

He almost has to remind himself to be wary sometimes. Most travelers are harmless and overall pleasant but... as his Lord has reminded him time and time again, quite literally anything could come from a portal.

Reyn was shaken out of their thoughts on how well designed the castle was, but quickly turned to face Angel.

Their tail was out, but their ears were hudden under a bucket hat while their fin was underneath their usual jacket.

Angel gives them a friendly enough smile, trying not to focus too much on their tail. It looks really fluffy... He has to force himself to think past it as he's reminded of a certain recent debacle.

Oh! No no, i was simply exploring new dimensions and got dropped here, and nice to meet you Angel!
Theydid notice them looking at their tail, and had a hard time figuring out whether he thinks its ugly or just interested. It takes a few bits of severe anxiety but they managed to shut their head up and just hope he is only worried that the fur from their tail might dirty the carpets or floor. It shouldn’t, despite it being Maine Coon fur, they dont know why it doesn’t shed much but it just doesnt.
It's nice to meet you as well but ah, well... All, um, all interdimensional travelers are to be directed to the- to the Lord. It's the rules. Not all visitors are as... friendly as you've been.
He adjusts his hold on his books, not really able to fidget as he would normally with his hands so full. There's a lot to novice magic so these aren't exactly all that light. Angel does at least make a better attempt at not staring, he's had to deal with plenty of that himself.
They understood what he said easily, they know people can be rude. Especially dimensional travelers, they have dealt with their fair share of shit heads.

The servant tries not to visibly grimace at Reyn's offer. The last time he let someone even touch one of the library's books was because they were an adolescent and he didn't have a clue how to keep them entertained while the Lord was gone. Bad idea thinking on it now.
He cannot stand most people holding any of the books, Lord forbid it's any of the recently created ones. What if they bend it or accidentally tear the pages? They've lasted hundreds of years and even the thought of chancing it has him tense.

He holds the books tighter to himself as he leads them to the not so far throne room doors... which are currently closed. Angel's rays spin sheepishly.

Reyn nodded and knocked for him. As they stood outside the large doors, they turned around but hesitated to pat him on the shoulder unsure whether he likes touch or not. They did pat him on the shoulder though, since they could tell he was uncomfortable.
The servant blinks and then gives them a small, appreciative smile at the gesture. His focus quickly shifts to the throne room as the doors open at a dramatic pace. Angel isn't exactly sure he's the one who will needing the support.
He hesitantly steps forward, glancing back just once to confirm that Reyn is following.

Is this really our life now? A constant stream of travelers who think they can just walk into my dimension whenever they want like they own the place?
The Lord gives Reyn a lazy once over but doesn't seem to be all that interested. His flames flicker idly, cheek propped up on a fist.

They said it with slight annoyance and lying underneath was a angry tone but atleast they were polite with the words. Their tail flicked with annoyance and theur ears would have been pointed if they were not hudden at the moment.

They relaxed when asking this one, for no particular reason other than habit. They dont want to get on his bad side yet, and they know how to stay on someones good side.

But yes, you would be correct, Reyn. We've been getting all sorts of visitors for all sorts of reasons and each and every one is just as annoying as the last. You don't seem to be as much of a... nuisance as others but you're still disturbing the peace. I would also say that you're distracting my servant but clearly he wasn't doing anything important.

Lord Mizar is clearly less than thrilled about Reyn's decision. Unless they're some kind of threat, it's really just easier to hand travelers off to Alcor. Most of them are happy to see the castle and be done with it. His servant has more patience than he does for the mindless conversation.

You would be correct. Way, way back when, where other Eclipse's failed, I defeated Bloodmoon. Killed the bratty half then snatched the Star for myself. It all went so smoothly too...
Aside from Alcor and myself, you wouldn't recognize anyone here. Their existence had no purpose so I didn't waste any star power on them. There's the cult in Cacumen, and then the two smaller towns Orir and Cadere. Somehow those two groups are less of a bother than the cult, different dimensions and all that...
And yes. Two actually. I killed one centuries ago, the other I had no interest in fighting and... released into another dimension. That one was much more recent but small enough to move without issue.
Reyn sighed. They would much rather a friend than an enemy, as Helios Knows what may happen in the future. If they they have to feel their dimension or hide in another for some time they would rather not having a dimension this protected be crossed out due to petty arguments.

The Lord taps his fingers along the arm of his throne irritably.
Yes. There's a small building just outside the castle on the right. Typically one of my servants will use it when she needs to be in the area for a few days but currently it's unoccupied. And don't think I'm letting you stay in someone else's home, it's a guest house by all means.
Perhaps Alcor can take you there when he's no longer occupied.
While his expression reveals little, the servant's fingers twitch against the books in his grasp. It's not that he wouldn't mind... he was just really looking forward to other things at the moment. Of course his Lord knows this...

Said aforementioned books are suddenly yanked from his grasp by an invisible force, meeting the Lord's raised hand.

He casts a disappointed look back at the books before motioning for Reyn to follow back out into the library. The throne room doors shut behind them as he leads them to the front doors.

Reyn’s tail was still being kept up above the rugs to keep Angel or other servants from having a hard time getting it out.
Angel nods along, pushing open one of the large entrance doors when they arrive. He has to force himself to not go back to staring at their tail, it really is just that fluffy...

He does get a little curious on what exactly Reyn would be fleeing from but he decides against asking with how quickly they dismiss the subject. It's not his business to know.

When they reach the cottage, Angel has to give the door a good tug to open it. There is a key but it's not like anyone would come up here to disturb something in such close proximity to the Lord's castle. He leaves the door open, letting Reyn follow if they wish.
A small, cat-shaped shadow creature thing stands in the center of the entrance room. It's sniffing around in clear boredom.
Oh! Umbra? What are doing here?
Reyn followed in behind them and saw the cat-shaped shadow. Their first instinct was to grab Angel and pull him back, but it seems to be a friendly entity. Not a demon. Apparently. Their tail swished across the floor in warning and their eyes narrowed sharply. They didn’t pull their ears back, though, they didn’t want to fight, just warn. Though they probably didn’t look to threatening with an overly fluffy tail, cats would usually understand that it is a warning.
Its name is Umbra?
They spoke with a low tone as they continued looking at the shadow, not exactly glaring but on edge.
Mhm! C'mere Umbra! Pspsps.
He holds out a hand for the cat, waiting for it to notice them. It does indeed, it's ears perking up and turning its faceless head in their direction. It slinks over to the two of them and slips up Angel's arm like it's done a million times before. There's a dark substance on its chin, more opaque than the rest of its form. Angel huffs and starts inspecting the rug once he spots it.
Unfortunately its- it's the messiest cat I've ever had, always comes back with blood in its fur. Still don't really... know where my other cats ended up... N- Not that I'm that great with pets anyways.
Umbra climbs up onto Angel's shoulder, finally noticing Reyn. It stares at them, eerily still. Once he gets to moving again to do the intended inspection of the rest of the room, it's ears drop flat against it's head.
But I've- I've heard cats like to wander so I just... let them do that.
Reyn returns the sentiment by pinning their own ears back at the cat, preferably would lash their tail but Angel is here and it probably wouldnt look so dignified to end up in a fight with something less than a quarter their size.

They finished their sentence with clicking from their teeth, putting emphasis on good. They slowly unsheathed their claws and glared at it. It is unsettling, and they already know that those unsetlling in nature are quite unsettling in personality, mostly bloodthirst. Or they were just being terriorial, which would be weird even though their DNA is spliced into 3 of the most territorial creatures, since they are in a new place.
Angel simply hums in response, moving to continue looking around the comfortably small cabin. He's pretty quick with it and returns in the middle of giving Umbra affectionate scritches behind the ears. The shadow is emitting a happy rumble, absolutely soaking in the attention.
Okay! I- I didn't see anything, she's pretty neat anyways. But yeah! Um... Is- Is something wrong?
Only now did he notice the sour look Reyn was giving his direction. Umbra's direction?

I mean- You can- You can use the kitchen in the castle, if you want. Just- Just let me know afterwards so I can clean it up, please.
He doesn't mind one bit when Umbra climbs along to lay across his shoulders. It's ears are perked again and it's tail is swaying lazily but it still keeps its head pointed in Reyn's direction.

Reyn waves awkwardly back while grabbing the key. They watched until Angel was a good ways away for no exact reason not because of any weird cat or anything, but then they closed the door and locked it.

They sighed, still havent done anything, too scared to since they are a quest. They do look out the windows quite alot and they found a pen and pencil somewhere, which ended up with them drawing anything they saw.
The building is situated in a very quiet, almost lonely area. It sits on the same raised area that the castle does which, really, makes it look more like some sort of shack in comparison. There's only a few trees scattered outside and even during the day there was only a single bird singing. The prominent lack of places for wildlife to live combined with the overall silence of the place makes it rather difficult to excuse the sudden scratching and thunk in the kitchen.
Out of instinct they jumped up from where they were sitting on the window ledge and padded over to the kitchen with silent steps. They know it’s likely just that… cat. Maybe it was coming back to claw at them and annoy them or something. Seems like something that cat would do. They have since excused the strange cat as them just being paranoid, but they still don’t like it.
They peered into the kitchen being careful not to step into full view incase it isn’t that cat, and is in fact something else.
Whatever it is is indeed not a cat. The cloaked figure is standing, crouched on the counter and hunched over an open drawer. It's clawed fingers meet it's arms in a messy clump of fur on the wrists, the same of which can be seen in a wispier style on the end of it's tail. A soft red glow outlines the areas it looks and the tips of goblin-like ears can be seen just under the furred hood. But most important to note, it has the same transparency as a certain little kitty from earlier.
Mm. Stupid humans, so easy to manipulate and just as forgetful. Where oh where...
It grumbles and chitters as it searches. Despite the initial, what, climbing through a window? it's fairly quiet in it's endeavor, save the occasional screech of talons against the counter as it shifts around.
Ok weird. Maybe shadow creature things are common around here. They may be able to shift into a cat form but they highly doubt many others can so they swiftly cross out that possibility. They reached down a hand towards their belt, maybe they would be able to kill it with a well aimed shot from their handgun. That plan was crossed out soon after Reyn realized they were a fucking idiot and forgot all of their weapons at their cabin.
They could wrestle the thing, but they would rather not doing that since it seems to have some wicked looking claws. Confrontation is never the best in this situation so they crouch down to be more hidden behind the door frame as they watch the cloaked figure rummage through drawers and cabinets.
The creature pauses. It's head tilts just the slightest in Reyn's direction, listening. After a tense moment it huffs and goes back to rummaging. Clearly it's not having much success in what it's looking for because one moment it's got it's hand in the drawer and the next it's yanked it out to shake it upside-down.
Not here... it's supposed to be here...
It abandons it's search there and drops down from the counter only to climb the fridge instead, tail hanging behind it and twitching in it's impatience.
Mm. If that cat person took it... Oh! Theerree you are.
It's talons scrabble at the fridge as it pulls itself up, a successful cackle sounding out from it where it hunches on top.
Reyn froze. Cat person? Likely them, but maybe not because they didn’t mention the shark fin- and nevermind they had a jacket on that throughly covered it and squished it against their back. They were about to leap out and try to grab the… thing, since they do have a size advantage, but it would be quite hard to get across the kitchen unnoticed until they are within distance to grab the thing.
Their tail flicked in frustration and their own claws dug into the wooden floor beneath them.
Mm. Sneaky, sneaky...
It chitters gleefully, sliding down from the furniture and landing with a thump. The fluffy hood around it's face falls back just enough for it's ears to poke out.
Thought they were being sneaky...
It pockets the small item it'd obtained and then cocks it's head in Reyn's direction once more.

They for some reason finished the quote, not quite knowing why they did so themselves.
Reyn stood up and straightened to their full height, nearly hitting their ears against the ceiling. But, it was by far worth it when they had to tilt their head almost entirely down and see the creature having tot lit its head almost entirely up to meet their gaze. It isn’t often they stand at their full height, they usually prefer posture that makes them seem shorter.
Their tail flicked with irritation as their arms crossed over their chest.

For some godforsaken reason their voice slipped into their fucking southern accent. They are usually better at this, cause southern accents are not threatening in the slightest.
Their eyes glared down at the shadowy creature infront of them and they smirked. The size difference was even better up close.

It chuckles low as if it knows something Reyn doesn't. The hood gets tugged back down, only the red glow of its eyes visible... and two tiny fangs when it speaks.

Even when it has to nearly strain its neck just to meet their gaze it doesn't appear intimidated in the slightest. Its tail swishes lazily, furred end sweeping against the floorboards. It's having fun.
One careful step in the direction of the door and it's testing the waters.
Normal people would be sleeping at this time. So why aren't you? No need to worry over what's mine.

The creature darts over to the front door, preferring to use it's claws to unlock it. Apparently it's not as easy as it thought it would be as it gets more aggressive and grumbly with the lock after a mere moment.

It kicks open the door and skitters up the doorframe and outside. It peeks it's head back in upside down, cheeky grin visible from the angle.
Unfortunately, I can't hang around. You'll have to forgive me, I've got places to be and things to see. Nighttime doesn't last forever after all.
Reyn growled and they leaped forward to try to grab the demonic being, but they nearly hit their head on the doorframe like an idiot and missed. Luckily, they were able to pull it off without looking like they were gonna hit the doorframe and kept their dignity. Taunting usually works with demonic entities, hopefully it will work with this one.
Well leaving a witness likely isnt desirable, too scared to stay to cover your tracks? After all, im new here and hold no grudges against anybody or anything so they would likely believe me if i went to them and mentioned a entity breaking in and taking something, whether it is yours or not.
They grinned as they leaned against the edge of the wall and gestured to the creature’s hands.

Reyn stepped back. They weren’t winning this fight. No matter how much they wish they could, they knew it was an inevitable loss, it is better to step back while they are still unscathed.

They hissed as they closed the door and headed back inside. They should clean up the glass… they’ll start doing that, they already know they aren’t sleeping.
It's a few hours after sunrise when there's a polite knock at the door. Seems Angel's come back. And he's got the decency to not just barge in.
Ah, Reyn? I- I just came to check up on you!
Reyn was just finishing up fixing the window frame, that shadow thing did a number when breaking it. They sighed and walked to the door with slow and heavy steps, but before they opened it they did fix their posture to look more dignified instead of a mess.
The door opened with a creak and small claw marks could be seen on the inside from Reyn’s annoyance at the demon.

Angel stares at the fairly obvious scratches, a finger raised to point vaguely at them with his mouth slightly agape. He peeks past them to look into the kitchen area, face scrunching up.

Virion was asleep on the couch with his pets, having gotten used to this life in Reyn’s cabin, even though they had been gone for a little while. He dreamed about Blossom and hoped that he would see her again, except when he was back to normal size. Soon enough, a small light appeared. It then proceeded to grant him his wish, sprinkling magic onto him as he started to grow back to normal. The light then vanished as he started to wake up.

He dreamed about Blossom and hoped that he would see her again, except when he was back to normal size. Soon enough, a small light appeared. It then proceeded to grant him his wish, sprinkling magic onto him as he started to grow back to normal. The light then vanished as he started to wake up.
Reyn groaned as the walked back into the camp, everything was too goddamn bright. That or the barn they were in trying to catch a ghoul in the act of possessing people was dark. They sat on a bench, taking a moment to breathe before they go back to their cabin.

Using a small jewel Reyn was gifted, they decided to check out some new dimensions. They havent done it in a while, so instead of taking the long tedious route of researching safe dimensions by hacking into one-too-many of some of their friends saved files, they decided to randomize it. Their vision turned black as they traveled and the first thing they felt was a carpet underneath their feet. When they opened their eyes they were surprised to see the interior of a castle before them.

A flash and- surprise surprise, another interdimensional traveler. Angel ever so cautiously makes his way over, a couple of books held loosely in his arms. He was already halfway away from the magic section so he'd have to walk all that distance back and then the Lord would get upset with him if he didn't find out who came by but he's also not just going to put the books on the floor because he hasn't cleaned it yet this week... So carrying them it is.

He almost has to remind himself to be wary sometimes. Most travelers are harmless and overall pleasant but... as his Lord has reminded him time and time again, quite literally anything could come from a portal.

Angel gives them a friendly enough smile, trying not to focus too much on their tail. It looks really fluffy... He has to force himself to think past it as he's reminded of a certain recent debacle.

Theydid notice them looking at their tail, and had a hard time figuring out whether he thinks its ugly or just interested. It takes a few bits of severe anxiety but they managed to shut their head up and just hope he is only worried that the fur from their tail might dirty the carpets or floor. It shouldn’t, despite it being Maine Coon fur, they dont know why it doesn’t shed much but it just doesnt.
It's nice to meet you as well but ah, well... All, um, all interdimensional travelers are to be directed to the- to the Lord. It's the rules. Not all visitors are as... friendly as you've been.
He adjusts his hold on his books, not really able to fidget as he would normally with his hands so full. There's a lot to novice magic so these aren't exactly all that light. Angel does at least make a better attempt at not staring, he's had to deal with plenty of that himself.
They understood what he said easily, they know people can be rude. Especially dimensional travelers, they have dealt with their fair share of shit heads.

The servant tries not to visibly grimace at Reyn's offer. The last time he let someone even touch one of the library's books was because they were an adolescent and he didn't have a clue how to keep them entertained while the Lord was gone. Bad idea thinking on it now.
He cannot stand most people holding any of the books, Lord forbid it's any of the recently created ones. What if they bend it or accidentally tear the pages? They've lasted hundreds of years and even the thought of chancing it has him tense.

He holds the books tighter to himself as he leads them to the not so far throne room doors... which are currently closed. Angel's rays spin sheepishly.

Reyn nodded and knocked for him. As they stood outside the large doors, they turned around but hesitated to pat him on the shoulder unsure whether he likes touch or not. They did pat him on the shoulder though, since they could tell he was uncomfortable.
The servant blinks and then gives them a small, appreciative smile at the gesture. His focus quickly shifts to the throne room as the doors open at a dramatic pace. Angel isn't exactly sure he's the one who will needing the support.
He hesitantly steps forward, glancing back just once to confirm that Reyn is following.

Is this really our life now? A constant stream of travelers who think they can just walk into my dimension whenever they want like they own the place?
The Lord gives Reyn a lazy once over but doesn't seem to be all that interested. His flames flicker idly, cheek propped up on a fist.

But yes, you would be correct, Reyn. We've been getting all sorts of visitors for all sorts of reasons and each and every one is just as annoying as the last. You don't seem to be as much of a... nuisance as others but you're still disturbing the peace. I would also say that you're distracting my servant but clearly he wasn't doing anything important.

Lord Mizar is clearly less than thrilled about Reyn's decision. Unless they're some kind of threat, it's really just easier to hand travelers off to Alcor. Most of them are happy to see the castle and be done with it. His servant has more patience than he does for the mindless conversation.

You would be correct. Way, way back when, where other Eclipse's failed, I defeated Bloodmoon. Killed the bratty half then snatched the Star for myself. It all went so smoothly too...
Aside from Alcor and myself, you wouldn't recognize anyone here. Their existence had no purpose so I didn't waste any star power on them. There's the cult in Cacumen, and then the two smaller towns Orir and Cadere. Somehow those two groups are less of a bother than the cult, different dimensions and all that...
And yes. Two actually. I killed one centuries ago, the other I had no interest in fighting and... released into another dimension. That one was much more recent but small enough to move without issue.
Reyn sighed. They would much rather a friend than an enemy, as Helios Knows what may happen in the future. If they they have to feel their dimension or hide in another for some time they would rather not having a dimension this protected be crossed out due to petty arguments.

Yes. There's a small building just outside the castle on the right. Typically one of my servants will use it when she needs to be in the area for a few days but currently it's unoccupied. And don't think I'm letting you stay in someone else's home, it's a guest house by all means.
Perhaps Alcor can take you there when he's no longer occupied.
While his expression reveals little, the servant's fingers twitch against the books in his grasp. It's not that he wouldn't mind... he was just really looking forward to other things at the moment. Of course his Lord knows this...

Said aforementioned books are suddenly yanked from his grasp by an invisible force, meeting the Lord's raised hand.

He casts a disappointed look back at the books before motioning for Reyn to follow back out into the library. The throne room doors shut behind them as he leads them to the front doors.

An old gift from an even older friend, wasn’t made to be conveniant, made to get stuff done... Specifically flee, but that doesnt matter.
Reyn’s tail was still being kept up above the rugs to keep Angel or other servants from having a hard time getting it out.
Angel nods along, pushing open one of the large entrance doors when they arrive. He has to force himself to not go back to staring at their tail, it really is just that fluffy...

He does get a little curious on what exactly Reyn would be fleeing from but he decides against asking with how quickly they dismiss the subject. It's not his business to know.

When they reach the cottage, Angel has to give the door a good tug to open it. There is a key but it's not like anyone would come up here to disturb something in such close proximity to the Lord's castle. He leaves the door open, letting Reyn follow if they wish.
A small, cat-shaped shadow creature thing stands in the center of the entrance room. It's sniffing around in clear boredom.
Oh! Umbra? What are doing here?
Reyn followed in behind them and saw the cat-shaped shadow. Their first instinct was to grab Angel and pull him back, but it seems to be a friendly entity. Not a demon. Apparently. Their tail swished across the floor in warning and their eyes narrowed sharply. They didn’t pull their ears back, though, they didn’t want to fight, just warn. Though they probably didn’t look to threatening with an overly fluffy tail, cats would usually understand that it is a warning.
Its name is Umbra?
They spoke with a low tone as they continued looking at the shadow, not exactly glaring but on edge.
Mhm! C'mere Umbra! Pspsps.
He holds out a hand for the cat, waiting for it to notice them. It does indeed, it's ears perking up and turning its faceless head in their direction. It slinks over to the two of them and slips up Angel's arm like it's done a million times before. There's a dark substance on its chin, more opaque than the rest of its form. Angel huffs and starts inspecting the rug once he spots it.
Unfortunately its- it's the messiest cat I've ever had, always comes back with blood in its fur. Still don't really... know where my other cats ended up... N- Not that I'm that great with pets anyways.
Umbra climbs up onto Angel's shoulder, finally noticing Reyn. It stares at them, eerily still. Once he gets to moving again to do the intended inspection of the rest of the room, it's ears drop flat against it's head.
But I've- I've heard cats like to wander so I just... let them do that.
Reyn returns the sentiment by pinning their own ears back at the cat, preferably would lash their tail but Angel is here and it probably wouldnt look so dignified to end up in a fight with something less than a quarter their size.

They finished their sentence with clicking from their teeth, putting emphasis on good. They slowly unsheathed their claws and glared at it. It is unsettling, and they already know that those unsetlling in nature are quite unsettling in personality, mostly bloodthirst. Or they were just being terriorial, which would be weird even though their DNA is spliced into 3 of the most territorial creatures, since they are in a new place.
Angel simply hums in response, moving to continue looking around the comfortably small cabin. He's pretty quick with it and returns in the middle of giving Umbra affectionate scritches behind the ears. The shadow is emitting a happy rumble, absolutely soaking in the attention.
Okay! I- I didn't see anything, she's pretty neat anyways. But yeah! Um... Is- Is something wrong?
Only now did he notice the sour look Reyn was giving his direction. Umbra's direction?
Ah, I- I'm sorry! I- Do you not like cats?

I- I think there's some, ah, magically preserved grain type foods in the cabinets? It- It should be safe to eat. ... If you get really hungry that is. ... Or! I mean- You can- You can use the kitchen in the castle, if you want. Just- Just let me know afterwards so I can clean it up, please.
He doesn't mind one bit when Umbra climbs along to lay across his shoulders. It's ears are perked again and it's tail is swaying lazily but it still keeps its head pointed in Reyn's direction.

Reyn waves awkwardly back while grabbing the key. They watched until Angel was a good ways away for no exact reason not because of any weird cat or anything, but then they closed the door and locked it.

They sighed, still havent done anything, too scared to since they are a quest. They do look out the windows quite alot and they found a pen and pencil somewhere, which ended up with them drawing anything they saw.
The building is situated in a very quiet, almost lonely area. It sits on the same raised area that the castle does which, really, makes it look more like some sort of shack in comparison. There's only a few trees scattered outside and even during the day there was only a single bird singing. The prominent lack of places for wildlife to live combined with the overall silence of the place makes it rather difficult to excuse the sudden scratching and thunk in the kitchen.
Out of instinct they jumped up from where they were sitting on the window ledge and padded over to the kitchen with silent steps. They know it’s likely just that… cat. Maybe it was coming back to claw at them and annoy them or something. Seems like something that cat would do. They have since excused the strange cat as them just being paranoid, but they still don’t like it.
They peered into the kitchen being careful not to step into full view incase it isn’t that cat, and is in fact something else.
Whatever it is is indeed not a cat. The cloaked figure is standing, crouched on the counter and hunched over an open drawer. It's clawed fingers meet it's arms in a messy clump of fur on the wrists, the same of which can be seen in a wispier style on the end of it's tail. A soft red glow outlines the areas it looks and the tips of goblin-like ears can be seen just under the furred hood. But most important to note, it has the same transparency as a certain little kitty from earlier.
Mm. Stupid humans, so easy to manipulate and just as forgetful. Where oh where...
It grumbles and chitters as it searches. Despite the initial, what, climbing through a window? it's fairly quiet in it's endeavor, save the occasional screech of talons against the counter as it shifts around.
Ok weird. Maybe shadow creature things are common around here. They may be able to shift into a cat form but they highly doubt many others can so they swiftly cross out that possibility. They reached down a hand towards their belt, maybe they would be able to kill it with a well aimed shot from their handgun. That plan was crossed out soon after Reyn realized they were a fucking idiot and forgot all of their weapons at their cabin.
They could wrestle the thing, but they would rather not doing that since it seems to have some wicked looking claws. Confrontation is never the best in this situation so they crouch down to be more hidden behind the door frame as they watch the cloaked figure rummage through drawers and cabinets.
The creature pauses. It's head tilts just the slightest in Reyn's direction, listening. After a tense moment it huffs and goes back to rummaging. Clearly it's not having much success in what it's looking for because one moment it's got it's hand in the drawer and the next it's yanked it out to shake it upside-down.
Not here... it's supposed to be here...
It abandons it's search there and drops down from the counter only to climb the fridge instead, tail hanging behind it and twitching in it's impatience.
Mm. If that cat person took it... Oh! Theerree you are.
It's talons scrabble at the fridge as it pulls itself up, a successful cackle sounding out from it where it hunches on top.
Reyn froze. Cat person? Likely them, but maybe not because they didn’t mention the shark fin- and nevermind they had a jacket on that throughly covered it and squished it against their back. They were about to leap out and try to grab the… thing, since they do have a size advantage, but it would be quite hard to get across the kitchen unnoticed until they are within distance to grab the thing.
Their tail flicked in frustration and their own claws dug into the wooden floor beneath them.
Mm. Sneaky, sneaky...
It chitters gleefully, sliding down from the furniture and landing with a thump. The fluffy hood around it's face falls back just enough for it's ears to poke out.
Thought they were being sneaky...
It pockets the small item it'd obtained and then cocks it's head in Reyn's direction once more.

They for some reason finished the quote, not quite knowing why they did so themselves.
Reyn stood up and straightened to their full height, nearly hitting their ears against the ceiling. But, it was by far worth it when they had to tilt their head almost entirely down and see the creature having tot lit its head almost entirely up to meet their gaze. It isn’t often they stand at their full height, they usually prefer posture that makes them seem shorter.
Their tail flicked with irritation as their arms crossed over their chest.
So, watcha doin’ ove’there, bud?
For some godforsaken reason their voice slipped into their fucking southern accent. They are usually better at this, cause southern accents are not threatening in the slightest.
Their eyes glared down at the shadowy creature infront of them and they smirked. The size difference was even better up close.

It chuckles low as if it knows something Reyn doesn't. The hood gets tugged back down, only the red glow of its eyes visible... and two tiny fangs when it speaks.
Mm. Wouldn't you like to know? Seems like a certain kitty isn't just curious but nosy too.
Even when it has to nearly strain its neck just to meet their gaze it doesn't appear intimidated in the slightest. Its tail swishes lazily, furred end sweeping against the floorboards. It's having fun.
One careful step in the direction of the door and it's testing the waters.
Normal people would be sleeping at this time. So why aren't you? No need to worry over what's mine.

The creature darts over to the front door, preferring to use it's claws to unlock it. Apparently it's not as easy as it thought it would be as it gets more aggressive and grumbly with the lock after a mere moment.
Of course the only thing he does right in his life is locks...

There's a click from the door knob and it perks up, of course it was still attempting that. It's half closest to Reyn becomes considerably transparent until their hand is only grasping at air.

It kicks open the door and skitters up the doorframe and outside. It peeks it's head back in upside down, cheeky grin visible from the angle.
Unfortunately, I can't hang around. You'll have to forgive me, I've got places to be and things to see. Nighttime doesn't last forever after all.
Reyn growled and they leaped forward to try to grab the demonic being, but they nearly hit their head on the doorframe like an idiot and missed. Luckily, they were able to pull it off without looking like they were gonna hit the doorframe and kept their dignity. Taunting usually works with demonic entities, hopefully it will work with this one.
Well leaving a witness likely isnt desirable, too scared to stay to cover your tracks? After all, im new here and hold no grudges against anybody or anything so they would likely believe me if i went to them and mentioned a entity breaking in and taking something, whether it is yours or not.
They grinned as they leaned against the edge of the wall and gestured to the creature’s hands.

It yawns, bored with the threat, and flexes it's claws against the doorframe.
Besides, those two are too busy sucking on each other's faces to care. Especially not when Not S- Eclipse doesn't even bother to check the cult anymore. I'll be gone by the time you make a peep.
Reyn stepped back. They weren’t winning this fight. No matter how much they wish they could, they knew it was an inevitable loss, it is better to step back while they are still unscathed.
It chuckles low and deep, pointing a claw in their direction mockingly.

The movement is a bit awkward but it turns itself around and scampers up the side of the building.

There's cackling followed by footsteps on the roof and then silence once again. Whatever it was is gone for now.

They hissed as they closed the door and headed back inside. They should clean up the glass… they’ll start doing that, they already know they aren’t sleeping.
It's a few hours after sunrise when there's a polite knock at the door. Seems Angel's come back. And he's got the decency to not just barge in.
Ah, Reyn? I- I just came to check up on you!
Reyn was just finishing up fixing the window frame, that shadow thing did a number when breaking it. They sighed and walked to the door with slow and heavy steps, but before they opened it they did fix their posture to look more dignified instead of a mess.
The door opened with a creak and small claw marks could be seen on the inside from Reyn’s annoyance at the demon.

Using a small jewel Reyn was gifted, they decided to check out some new dimensions. They havent done it in a while, so instead of taking the long tedious route of researching safe dimensions by hacking into one-too-many of some of their friends saved files, they decided to randomize it. Their vision turned black as they traveled and the first thing they felt was a carpet underneath their feet. When they opened their eyes they were surprised to see the interior of a castle before them.

A flash and- surprise surprise, another interdimensional traveler. Angel ever so cautiously makes his way over, a couple of books held loosely in his arms. He was already halfway away from the magic section so he'd have to walk all that distance back and then the Lord would get upset with him if he didn't find out who came by but he's also not just going to put the books on the floor because he hasn't cleaned it yet this week... So carrying them it is.

He almost has to remind himself to be wary sometimes. Most travelers are harmless and overall pleasant but... as his Lord has reminded him time and time again, quite literally anything could come from a portal.

Reyn was shaken out of their thoughts on how well designed the castle was, but quickly turned to face Angel.

Their tail was out, but their ears were hudden under a bucket hat while their fin was underneath their usual jacket.
One of the more pleasant ones it seems. Hopefully it stays that way.
Angel gives them a friendly enough smile, trying not to focus too much on their tail. It looks really fluffy... He has to force himself to think past it as he's reminded of a certain recent debacle.

Reyn looks confused for a moment before responding
Oh! No no, i was simply exploring new dimensions and got dropped here, and nice to meet you Angel!
Theydid notice them looking at their tail, and had a hard time figuring out whether he thinks its ugly or just interested. It takes a few bits of severe anxiety but they managed to shut their head up and just hope he is only worried that the fur from their tail might dirty the carpets or floor. It shouldn’t, despite it being Maine Coon fur, they dont know why it doesn’t shed much but it just doesnt.
It's nice to meet you as well but ah, well... All, um, all interdimensional travelers are to be directed to the- to the Lord. It's the rules. Not all visitors are as... friendly as you've been.
He adjusts his hold on his books, not really able to fidget as he would normally with his hands so full. There's a lot to novice magic so these aren't exactly all that light. Angel does at least make a better attempt at not staring, he's had to deal with plenty of that himself.
They understood what he said easily, they know people can be rude. Especially dimensional travelers, they have dealt with their fair share of shit heads.
Well, can u take me to your Lord? And, maybe help you hold those books, your holding to many at once, you may drop them and they could get messed up
Their tail twitched as it lifted to not drag it along the carpet, no need to make whoever’s job it is to clean this pace harder.
The servant tries not to visibly grimace at Reyn's offer. The last time he let someone even touch one of the library's books was because they were an adolescent and he didn't have a clue how to keep them entertained while the Lord was gone. Bad idea thinking on it now.
He cannot stand most people holding any of the books, Lord forbid it's any of the recently created ones. What if they bend it or accidentally tear the pages? They've lasted hundreds of years and even the thought of chancing it has him tense.
The- The Lord! Yes! This way.
He holds the books tighter to himself as he leads them to the not so far throne room doors... which are currently closed. Angel's rays spin sheepishly.
Could you... knock?
Reyn nodded and knocked for him. As they stood outside the large doors, they turned around but hesitated to pat him on the shoulder unsure whether he likes touch or not. They did pat him on the shoulder though, since they could tell he was uncomfortable.
The servant blinks and then gives them a small, appreciative smile at the gesture. His focus quickly shifts to the throne room as the doors open at a dramatic pace. Angel isn't exactly sure he's the one who will needing the support.
He hesitantly steps forward, glancing back just once to confirm that Reyn is following.
My Lord-
Is this really our life now? A constant stream of travelers who think they can just walk into my dimension whenever they want like they own the place?
The Lord gives Reyn a lazy once over but doesn't seem to be all that interested. His flames flicker idly, cheek propped up on a fist.

Reyn immediately didn’t like this guy, they know he may get better but they highly doubt it. Despite that, they held their head high and proud as they answered.
Well, Sir, my name is Reyn. My reasons for being here are curiosity, and i am guessing you have had many other visitors with what you said.
They said it with slight annoyance and lying underneath was a angry tone but atleast they were polite with the words. Their tail flicked with annoyance and theur ears would have been pointed if they were not hudden at the moment.

They relaxed when asking this one, for no particular reason other than habit. They dont want to get on his bad side yet, and they know how to stay on someones good side.
He can't say he appreciates the attitude but at least they're not being outright disrespectful and rude. As far as he can tell at least. Doesn't mean he'll like them, not that the Lord likes most people...
Lord Mizar. That is what I'm to be addressed as. Though I suppose "sir" is adequate if you're too lazy for the full title. Other options are "God", "oh holy one", "Lord above all", et cetera, et cetera. The cult's gotten creative with them.
But yes, you would be correct, Reyn. We've been getting all sorts of visitors for all sorts of reasons and each and every one is just as annoying as the last. You don't seem to be as much of a... nuisance as others but you're still disturbing the peace. I would also say that you're distracting my servant but clearly he wasn't doing anything important.

Secondly, I dont want to be a nuissance, but if in some specific way im disturbing the peace do tell so i can avoid doing that. Thirdly, from what i heard he is ordered to bring visitors here, so i wouldn’t be distracting him if he is required to do this.

I personally think that Alcor finding interest in something and having a friend is good, but no. I came here to learn about this dimension and you are the lord, i would prefer talking to you about this universe.

Lord Mizar is clearly less than thrilled about Reyn's decision. Unless they're some kind of threat, it's really just easier to hand travelers off to Alcor. Most of them are happy to see the castle and be done with it. His servant has more patience than he does for the mindless conversation.

But, as much as he can tell that he wants to, Alcor doesn't get to leave. The Lord hasn't forgotten his servant's pettiness from the other day and he himself can be just as petty when he wants to be.

I simply want to know the basics of this dimension, i guesisng its a Lord Eclipse dimension. So, everyone dead or people still alive, and have you had a wither thrown at you yet?
You would be correct. Way, way back when, where other Eclipse's failed, I defeated Bloodmoon. Killed the bratty half then snatched the Star for myself. It all went so smoothly too...
Aside from Alcor and myself, you wouldn't recognize anyone here. Their existence had no purpose so I didn't waste any star power on them. There's the cult in Cacumen, and then the two smaller towns Orir and Cadere. Somehow those two groups are less of a bother than the cult, different dimensions and all that...
And yes. Two actually. I killed one centuries ago, the other I had no interest in fighting and... released into another dimension. That one was much more recent but small enough to move without issue.
Reyn sighed. They would much rather a friend than an enemy, as Helios Knows what may happen in the future. If they they have to feel their dimension or hide in another for some time they would rather not having a dimension this protected be crossed out due to petty arguments.
Well, Lord Mizar, my trasnportation back to my dimension wont be possible for the next.. 23 or so hours, is there is anywhere i may stay where i wont cause trouble during this stay?

The Lord taps his fingers along the arm of his throne irritably.
Yes. There's a small building just outside the castle on the right. Typically one of my servants will use it when she needs to be in the area for a few days but currently it's unoccupied. And don't think I'm letting you stay in someone else's home, it's a guest house by all means.
Perhaps Alcor can take you there when he's no longer occupied.
While his expression reveals little, the servant's fingers twitch against the books in his grasp. It's not that he wouldn't mind... he was just really looking forward to other things at the moment. Of course his Lord knows this...

Angel very quickly speaks up. The Lord never appreciates attempts at overruling his commands for his servant. The constant fire burning from his body makes for a surprisingly good warning of his moods.

Said aforementioned books are suddenly yanked from his grasp by an invisible force, meeting the Lord's raised hand.

He casts a disappointed look back at the books before motioning for Reyn to follow back out into the library. The throne room doors shut behind them as he leads them to the front doors.
Um, I was... curious. What kind of- sort of, ah, device or whatnot do you use for dimensional travel? I- I feel like having to wait a whole day is- is a long time, you know?
Reyn looked up at Angel
An old gift from an even older friend, wasn’t made to be conveniant, made to get stuff done... Specifically flee, but that doesnt matter.
Reyn’s tail was still being kept up above the rugs to keep Angel or other servants from having a hard time getting it out.
Angel nods along, pushing open one of the large entrance doors when they arrive. He has to force himself to not go back to staring at their tail, it really is just that fluffy...

He does get a little curious on what exactly Reyn would be fleeing from but he decides against asking with how quickly they dismiss the subject. It's not his business to know.
Ah, um, you wouldn't mind if I look through the house a little, would you? I just- I just want to be sure Tigerlily didn't leave anything behind.
And also to be sure the place wasn't a mess on the interior. Those feathers of hers get everywhere...

When they reach the cottage, Angel has to give the door a good tug to open it. There is a key but it's not like anyone would come up here to disturb something in such close proximity to the Lord's castle. He leaves the door open, letting Reyn follow if they wish.
A small, cat-shaped shadow creature thing stands in the center of the entrance room. It's sniffing around in clear boredom.
Oh! Umbra? What are doing here?
Reyn followed in behind them and saw the cat-shaped shadow. Their first instinct was to grab Angel and pull him back, but it seems to be a friendly entity. Not a demon. Apparently. Their tail swished across the floor in warning and their eyes narrowed sharply. They didn’t pull their ears back, though, they didn’t want to fight, just warn. Though they probably didn’t look to threatening with an overly fluffy tail, cats would usually understand that it is a warning.
Its name is Umbra?
They spoke with a low tone as they continued looking at the shadow, not exactly glaring but on edge.
Mhm! C'mere Umbra! Pspsps.
He holds out a hand for the cat, waiting for it to notice them. It does indeed, it's ears perking up and turning its faceless head in their direction. It slinks over to the two of them and slips up Angel's arm like it's done a million times before. There's a dark substance on its chin, more opaque than the rest of its form. Angel huffs and starts inspecting the rug once he spots it.
Unfortunately its- it's the messiest cat I've ever had, always comes back with blood in its fur. Still don't really... know where my other cats ended up... N- Not that I'm that great with pets anyways.
Umbra climbs up onto Angel's shoulder, finally noticing Reyn. It stares at them, eerily still. Once he gets to moving again to do the intended inspection of the rest of the room, it's ears drop flat against it's head.
But I've- I've heard cats like to wander so I just... let them do that.
Reyn returns the sentiment by pinning their own ears back at the cat, preferably would lash their tail but Angel is here and it probably wouldnt look so dignified to end up in a fight with something less than a quarter their size.

They finished their sentence with clicking from their teeth, putting emphasis on good. They slowly unsheathed their claws and glared at it. It is unsettling, and they already know that those unsetlling in nature are quite unsettling in personality, mostly bloodthirst. Or they were just being terriorial, which would be weird even though their DNA is spliced into 3 of the most territorial creatures, since they are in a new place.
Angel simply hums in response, moving to continue looking around the comfortably small cabin. He's pretty quick with it and returns in the middle of giving Umbra affectionate scritches behind the ears. The shadow is emitting a happy rumble, absolutely soaking in the attention.
Okay! I- I didn't see anything, she's pretty neat anyways. But yeah! Um... Is- Is something wrong?
Only now did he notice the sour look Reyn was giving his direction. Umbra's direction?
Ah, I- I'm sorry! I- Do you not like cats?
Funny, seeing how they are a cat basically, but no. They do not hate cats. They hate this cat. very different.

They tried to stop glaring at the cat and luckily got their ears to stand up straight even if they were twitching occasionally
Oh, al- alright. Well the place is all, um, all set for you. The rooms are clean, the bed is made, there- there isn't really all that much food wise... I- I think there's some, ah, magically preserved grain type foods in the cabinets? It- It should be safe to eat. ... If you get really hungry that is. ... Or! I mean- You can- You can use the kitchen in the castle, if you want. Just- Just let me know afterwards so I can clean it up, please.
He doesn't mind one bit when Umbra climbs along to lay across his shoulders. It's ears are perked again and it's tail is swaying lazily but it still keeps its head pointed in Reyn's direction.

Reyn waves awkwardly back while grabbing the key. They watched until Angel was a good ways away for no exact reason not because of any weird cat or anything, but then they closed the door and locked it.

They sighed, still havent done anything, too scared to since they are a quest. They do look out the windows quite alot and they found a pen and pencil somewhere, which ended up with them drawing anything they saw.
The building is situated in a very quiet, almost lonely area. It sits on the same raised area that the castle does which, really, makes it look more like some sort of shack in comparison. There's only a few trees scattered outside and even during the day there was only a single bird singing. The prominent lack of places for wildlife to live combined with the overall silence of the place makes it rather difficult to excuse the sudden scratching and thunk in the kitchen.
Out of instinct they jumped up from where they were sitting on the window ledge and padded over to the kitchen with silent steps. They know it’s likely just that… cat. Maybe it was coming back to claw at them and annoy them or something. Seems like something that cat would do. They have since excused the strange cat as them just being paranoid, but they still don’t like it.
They peered into the kitchen being careful not to step into full view incase it isn’t that cat, and is in fact something else.
Whatever it is is indeed not a cat. The cloaked figure is standing, crouched on the counter and hunched over an open drawer. It's clawed fingers meet it's arms in a messy clump of fur on the wrists, the same of which can be seen in a wispier style on the end of it's tail. A soft red glow outlines the areas it looks and the tips of goblin-like ears can be seen just under the furred hood. But most important to note, it has the same transparency as a certain little kitty from earlier.
Mm. Stupid humans, so easy to manipulate and just as forgetful. Where oh where...
It grumbles and chitters as it searches. Despite the initial, what, climbing through a window? it's fairly quiet in it's endeavor, save the occasional screech of talons against the counter as it shifts around.
Ok weird. Maybe shadow creature things are common around here. They may be able to shift into a cat form but they highly doubt many others can so they swiftly cross out that possibility. They reached down a hand towards their belt, maybe they would be able to kill it with a well aimed shot from their handgun. That plan was crossed out soon after Reyn realized they were a fucking idiot and forgot all of their weapons at their cabin.
They could wrestle the thing, but they would rather not doing that since it seems to have some wicked looking claws. Confrontation is never the best in this situation so they crouch down to be more hidden behind the door frame as they watch the cloaked figure rummage through drawers and cabinets.
The creature pauses. It's head tilts just the slightest in Reyn's direction, listening. After a tense moment it huffs and goes back to rummaging. Clearly it's not having much success in what it's looking for because one moment it's got it's hand in the drawer and the next it's yanked it out to shake it upside-down.
Not here... it's supposed to be here...
It abandons it's search there and drops down from the counter only to climb the fridge instead, tail hanging behind it and twitching in it's impatience.
Mm. If that cat person took it... Oh! Theerree you are.
It's talons scrabble at the fridge as it pulls itself up, a successful cackle sounding out from it where it hunches on top.
Reyn froze. Cat person? Likely them, but maybe not because they didn’t mention the shark fin- and nevermind they had a jacket on that throughly covered it and squished it against their back. They were about to leap out and try to grab the… thing, since they do have a size advantage, but it would be quite hard to get across the kitchen unnoticed until they are within distance to grab the thing.
Their tail flicked in frustration and their own claws dug into the wooden floor beneath them.
Mm. Sneaky, sneaky...
It chitters gleefully, sliding down from the furniture and landing with a thump. The fluffy hood around it's face falls back just enough for it's ears to poke out.
Thought they were being sneaky...
It pockets the small item it'd obtained and then cocks it's head in Reyn's direction once more.

They for some reason finished the quote, not quite knowing why they did so themselves.
Reyn stood up and straightened to their full height, nearly hitting their ears against the ceiling. But, it was by far worth it when they had to tilt their head almost entirely down and see the creature having tot lit its head almost entirely up to meet their gaze. It isn’t often they stand at their full height, they usually prefer posture that makes them seem shorter.
Their tail flicked with irritation as their arms crossed over their chest.

For some godforsaken reason their voice slipped into their fucking southern accent. They are usually better at this, cause southern accents are not threatening in the slightest.
Their eyes glared down at the shadowy creature infront of them and they smirked. The size difference was even better up close.

It chuckles low as if it knows something Reyn doesn't. The hood gets tugged back down, only the red glow of its eyes visible... and two tiny fangs when it speaks.
Mm. Wouldn't you like to know? Seems like a certain kitty isn't just curious but nosy too.
Even when it has to nearly strain its neck just to meet their gaze it doesn't appear intimidated in the slightest. Its tail swishes lazily, furred end sweeping against the floorboards. It's having fun.
One careful step in the direction of the door and it's testing the waters.
Normal people would be sleeping at this time. So why aren't you? No need to worry over what's mine.

I appeciate u calling me normal but it is quite uncommon that i find myself sleeping in another dimension, so ofcourse im awake.

The creature darts over to the front door, preferring to use it's claws to unlock it. Apparently it's not as easy as it thought it would be as it gets more aggressive and grumbly with the lock after a mere moment.
Of course the only thing he does right in his life is locks...

There's a click from the door knob and it perks up, of course it was still attempting that. It's half closest to Reyn becomes considerably transparent until their hand is only grasping at air.

It kicks open the door and skitters up the doorframe and outside. It peeks it's head back in upside down, cheeky grin visible from the angle.
Unfortunately, I can't hang around. You'll have to forgive me, I've got places to be and things to see. Nighttime doesn't last forever after all.
Reyn growled and they leaped forward to try to grab the demonic being, but they nearly hit their head on the doorframe like an idiot and missed. Luckily, they were able to pull it off without looking like they were gonna hit the doorframe and kept their dignity. Taunting usually works with demonic entities, hopefully it will work with this one.
Well leaving a witness likely isnt desirable, too scared to stay to cover your tracks? After all, im new here and hold no grudges against anybody or anything so they would likely believe me if i went to them and mentioned a entity breaking in and taking something, whether it is yours or not.

Reyn stepped back. They weren’t winning this fight. No matter how much they wish they could, they knew it was an inevitable loss, it is better to step back while they are still unscathed.

Reyn nodded and knocked for him. As they stood outside the large doors, they turned around but hesitated to pat him on the shoulder unsure whether he likes touch or not. They did pat him on the shoulder though, since they could tell he was uncomfortable.
The servant blinks and then gives them a small, appreciative smile at the gesture. His focus quickly shifts to the throne room as the doors open at a dramatic pace. Angel isn't exactly sure he's the one who will needing the support.
He hesitantly steps forward, glancing back just once to confirm that Reyn is following.

Is this really our life now? A constant stream of travelers who think they can just walk into my dimension whenever they want like they own the place?

But yes, you would be correct, Reyn. We've been getting all sorts of visitors for all sorts of reasons and each and every one is just as annoying as the last. You don't seem to be as much of a... nuisance as others but you're still disturbing the peace. I would also say that you're distracting my servant but clearly he wasn't doing anything important.

I personally think that Alcor finding interest in something and having a friend is good, but no. I came here to learn about this dimension and you are the lord, i would prefer talking to you about this universe.
Their posture was straight and they didn’t show any signs of being rude this time. Their tone was more commanding though, in a way that you can tell they wont leave without this.
Lord Mizar is clearly less than thrilled about Reyn's decision. Unless they're some kind of threat, it's really just easier to hand travelers off to Alcor. Most of them are happy to see the castle and be done with it. His servant has more patience than he does for the mindless conversation.

You would be correct. Way, way back when, where other Eclipse's failed, I defeated Bloodmoon. Killed the bratty half then snatched the Star for myself. It all went so smoothly too...
Aside from Alcor and myself, you wouldn't recognize anyone here. Their existence had no purpose so I didn't waste any star power on them. There's the cult in Cacumen, and then the two smaller towns Orir and Cadere. Somehow those two groups are less of a bother than the cult, different dimensions and all that...
And yes. Two actually. I killed one centuries ago, the other I had no interest in fighting and... released into another dimension. That one was much more recent but small enough to move without issue.
Reyn sighed. They would much rather a friend than an enemy, as Helios Knows what may happen in the future. If they they have to feel their dimension or hide in another for some time they would rather not having a dimension this protected be crossed out due to petty arguments.

Yes. There's a small building just outside the castle on the right. Typically one of my servants will use it when she needs to be in the area for a few days but currently it's unoccupied. And don't think I'm letting you stay in someone else's home, it's a guest house by all means.
Perhaps Alcor can take you there when he's no longer occupied.

He casts a disappointed look back at the books before motioning for Reyn to follow back out into the library. The throne room doors shut behind them as he leads them to the front doors.

Reyn’s tail was still being kept up above the rugs to keep Angel or other servants from having a hard time getting it out.
Angel nods along, pushing open one of the large entrance doors when they arrive. He has to force himself to not go back to staring at their tail, it really is just that fluffy...

He does get a little curious on what exactly Reyn would be fleeing from but he decides against asking with how quickly they dismiss the subject. It's not his business to know.

When they reach the cottage, Angel has to give the door a good tug to open it. There is a key but it's not like anyone would come up here to disturb something in such close proximity to the Lord's castle. He leaves the door open, letting Reyn follow if they wish.
A small, cat-shaped shadow creature thing stands in the center of the entrance room. It's sniffing around in clear boredom.
Oh! Umbra? What are doing here?
Reyn followed in behind them and saw the cat-shaped shadow. Their first instinct was to grab Angel and pull him back, but it seems to be a friendly entity. Not a demon. Apparently. Their tail swished across the floor in warning and their eyes narrowed sharply. They didn’t pull their ears back, though, they didn’t want to fight, just warn. Though they probably didn’t look to threatening with an overly fluffy tail, cats would usually understand that it is a warning.
Its name is Umbra?
They spoke with a low tone as they continued looking at the shadow, not exactly glaring but on edge.
Mhm! C'mere Umbra! Pspsps.
He holds out a hand for the cat, waiting for it to notice them. It does indeed, it's ears perking up and turning its faceless head in their direction. It slinks over to the two of them and slips up Angel's arm like it's done a million times before. There's a dark substance on its chin, more opaque than the rest of its form. Angel huffs and starts inspecting the rug once he spots it.
Unfortunately its- it's the messiest cat I've ever had, always comes back with blood in its fur. Still don't really... know where my other cats ended up... N- Not that I'm that great with pets anyways.
Umbra climbs up onto Angel's shoulder, finally noticing Reyn. It stares at them, eerily still. Once he gets to moving again to do the intended inspection of the rest of the room, it's ears drop flat against it's head.
But I've- I've heard cats like to wander so I just... let them do that.
Reyn returns the sentiment by pinning their own ears back at the cat, preferably would lash their tail but Angel is here and it probably wouldnt look so dignified to end up in a fight with something less than a quarter their size.

They finished their sentence with clicking from their teeth, putting emphasis on good. They slowly unsheathed their claws and glared at it. It is unsettling, and they already know that those unsetlling in nature are quite unsettling in personality, mostly bloodthirst. Or they were just being terriorial, which would be weird even though their DNA is spliced into 3 of the most territorial creatures, since they are in a new place.
Angel simply hums in response, moving to continue looking around the comfortably small cabin. He's pretty quick with it and returns in the middle of giving Umbra affectionate scritches behind the ears. The shadow is emitting a happy rumble, absolutely soaking in the attention.
Okay! I- I didn't see anything, she's pretty neat anyways. But yeah! Um... Is- Is something wrong?
Only now did he notice the sour look Reyn was giving his direction. Umbra's direction?

I- I think there's some, ah, magically preserved grain type foods in the cabinets? It- It should be safe to eat. ... If you get really hungry that is. ... Or! I mean- You can- You can use the kitchen in the castle, if you want. Just- Just let me know afterwards so I can clean it up, please.
He doesn't mind one bit when Umbra climbs along to lay across his shoulders. It's ears are perked again and it's tail is swaying lazily but it still keeps its head pointed in Reyn's direction.

Reyn waves awkwardly back while grabbing the key. They watched until Angel was a good ways away for no exact reason not because of any weird cat or anything, but then they closed the door and locked it.

They sighed, still havent done anything, too scared to since they are a quest. They do look out the windows quite alot and they found a pen and pencil somewhere, which ended up with them drawing anything they saw.
The building is situated in a very quiet, almost lonely area. It sits on the same raised area that the castle does which, really, makes it look more like some sort of shack in comparison. There's only a few trees scattered outside and even during the day there was only a single bird singing. The prominent lack of places for wildlife to live combined with the overall silence of the place makes it rather difficult to excuse the sudden scratching and thunk in the kitchen.
Out of instinct they jumped up from where they were sitting on the window ledge and padded over to the kitchen with silent steps. They know it’s likely just that… cat. Maybe it was coming back to claw at them and annoy them or something. Seems like something that cat would do. They have since excused the strange cat as them just being paranoid, but they still don’t like it.
They peered into the kitchen being careful not to step into full view incase it isn’t that cat, and is in fact something else.
Whatever it is is indeed not a cat. The cloaked figure is standing, crouched on the counter and hunched over an open drawer. It's clawed fingers meet it's arms in a messy clump of fur on the wrists, the same of which can be seen in a wispier style on the end of it's tail. A soft red glow outlines the areas it looks and the tips of goblin-like ears can be seen just under the furred hood. But most important to note, it has the same transparency as a certain little kitty from earlier.
Mm. Stupid humans, so easy to manipulate and just as forgetful. Where oh where...
It grumbles and chitters as it searches. Despite the initial, what, climbing through a window? it's fairly quiet in it's endeavor, save the occasional screech of talons against the counter as it shifts around.
Ok weird. Maybe shadow creature things are common around here. They may be able to shift into a cat form but they highly doubt many others can so they swiftly cross out that possibility. They reached down a hand towards their belt, maybe they would be able to kill it with a well aimed shot from their handgun. That plan was crossed out soon after Reyn realized they were a fucking idiot and forgot all of their weapons at their cabin.
They could wrestle the thing, but they would rather not doing that since it seems to have some wicked looking claws. Confrontation is never the best in this situation so they crouch down to be more hidden behind the door frame as they watch the cloaked figure rummage through drawers and cabinets.
The creature pauses. It's head tilts just the slightest in Reyn's direction, listening. After a tense moment it huffs and goes back to rummaging. Clearly it's not having much success in what it's looking for because one moment it's got it's hand in the drawer and the next it's yanked it out to shake it upside-down.
Not here... it's supposed to be here...
It abandons it's search there and drops down from the counter only to climb the fridge instead, tail hanging behind it and twitching in it's impatience.
Mm. If that cat person took it... Oh! Theerree you are.
It's talons scrabble at the fridge as it pulls itself up, a successful cackle sounding out from it where it hunches on top.
Reyn froze. Cat person? Likely them, but maybe not because they didn’t mention the shark fin- and nevermind they had a jacket on that throughly covered it and squished it against their back. They were about to leap out and try to grab the… thing, since they do have a size advantage, but it would be quite hard to get across the kitchen unnoticed until they are within distance to grab the thing.
Their tail flicked in frustration and their own claws dug into the wooden floor beneath them.
Mm. Sneaky, sneaky...
It chitters gleefully, sliding down from the furniture and landing with a thump. The fluffy hood around it's face falls back just enough for it's ears to poke out.
Thought they were being sneaky...
It pockets the small item it'd obtained and then cocks it's head in Reyn's direction once more.

They for some reason finished the quote, not quite knowing why they did so themselves.
Reyn stood up and straightened to their full height, nearly hitting their ears against the ceiling. But, it was by far worth it when they had to tilt their head almost entirely down and see the creature having tot lit its head almost entirely up to meet their gaze. It isn’t often they stand at their full height, they usually prefer posture that makes them seem shorter.
Their tail flicked with irritation as their arms crossed over their chest.

For some godforsaken reason their voice slipped into their fucking southern accent. They are usually better at this, cause southern accents are not threatening in the slightest.
Their eyes glared down at the shadowy creature infront of them and they smirked. The size difference was even better up close.

It chuckles low as if it knows something Reyn doesn't. The hood gets tugged back down, only the red glow of its eyes visible... and two tiny fangs when it speaks.
Mm. Wouldn't you like to know? Seems like a certain kitty isn't just curious but nosy too.
Even when it has to nearly strain its neck just to meet their gaze it doesn't appear intimidated in the slightest. Its tail swishes lazily, furred end sweeping against the floorboards. It's having fun.
One careful step in the direction of the door and it's testing the waters.

The creature darts over to the front door, preferring to use it's claws to unlock it. Apparently it's not as easy as it thought it would be as it gets more aggressive and grumbly with the lock after a mere moment.

It kicks open the door and skitters up the doorframe and outside. It peeks it's head back in upside down, cheeky grin visible from the angle.

Reyn growled and they leaped forward to try to grab the demonic being, but they nearly hit their head on the doorframe like an idiot and missed. Luckily, they were able to pull it off without looking like they were gonna hit the doorframe and kept their dignity. Taunting usually works with demonic entities, hopefully it will work with this one.
Well leaving a witness likely isnt desirable, too scared to stay to cover your tracks? After all, im new here and hold no grudges against anybody or anything so they would likely believe me if i went to them and mentioned a entity breaking in and taking something, whether it is yours or not.
They grinned as they leaned against the edge of the wall and gestured to the creature’s hands.

Reyn stepped back. They weren’t winning this fight. No matter how much they wish they could, they knew it was an inevitable loss, it is better to step back while they are still unscathed.

It stood up and rubbed its face, pulling out an arrow that was stuck in one of its three hollow eyes.
It looked around in confusion and curiosity, its wings tucking in close to its body.

Fyrn glanced at the strange creature atop their gorgeous chestnut horse. Their black tail flicked with curiosity as they squeezed with their heels to trot up to the entity
It whipped it’s head around with an arm partially lifted, wrist and head twitching as it shakily moved around to face the stranger
The lights in its eyes flickered and contrasted as it eyed the strange person, ears arching back and turned upwards.
Fyrn quietly took in the creature before sliding off of their horse and holding out a hand in a show of peace
It craned its neck forward, its flat face turning to the side as it eyed the strangers hand. Tentatively, it stepped forward and sniffed it, ears flopping down and its pupils shifting back to their normal sizes.
Fyrn was happy that it was friendly and sighed in relief before backing away to see what it would do
It’s still face straightened again and it lowered its neck as it slowly walked around the person, its spear shaped tail sweeping against the ground and its head turning fully around slowly.

Fyrn’s ears flicked, and turned away from the voice. It was loud, too loud for their sensitive ears.

Their voice had an air of authority to it, unlike their other dimensional counterpart. An aura of power radiates off of them from their voice despite their messy hair and dusty leather clothes.
The fin along their back flared as they tilted their head up. This one was red, like Reyn’s, but it jad none of the scars dug into the sharp yet delicate skin.
One eye glowed a white color while the other was a brown reflecting orange. This version of Reyn is likely a star-holder from appearnce, but there is no star visible anywhere near them.
It did a short, polite bow, bending an arm and ducking its head down before standing up again.

As they mentioned that the creatures that hung around started to make sense. Mutated animalz with multiple limbs or miscoloration traveled through the dead landscape as if it was normal. Cause it was for them.
How peculiar… we’ve experienced something similar… but not nearly as devastating. Darkness and corruption taking over the land, the recovery of a scholar’s research and the old conversations between the wardens. Dark dark times.
It looked around furiously with big eye lights, shifting its wings and feet a little as it turned its head almost all the way around before turning it the other way.

Fyrn leaded Autumn over to a dead tree stump and used it to swing onto their horse’s back. They gestured for it to follow as they squeezed with their heels for Autumn to trot forward.
It nodded and just stood up to walk along behind the two, taking small steps and looked around curiously as it went
The forest seemed to come alive the farther they went, but not in the way you would expect. Mutated plants grew along long dead bark and the wooden planks of long gone houses held vines like plants from hell to continue the cycle of life
It looked around with big curious eyes, staying in its lane behind Fyrn and their horse but still looked around furiously to catch every detail they could
Autumn trotted ahead and just as the a eery glow shined through the trees did they open up. A large field stretched ahead of their view, and Fyrn slid of of Autumn’s back.
Autumn took off within seconds of Fyrn hopping down and cantered into the field.
It stopped as Fyrn did and stayed behind, not too close, but didn’t dare stray any further as they lifted their head and continued to sniff and look around at its surroundings, occasionally looking down at it’s feet
Fyrn gurmbled as they knelt down and started unlocking the hatches to the base. The trapdoor was heavy as Fyrn locked their arms underneath it and forced it up. They looked back at the Urzuk, it will fit. Probably. It will have to squeeze but its fine.
It’s mask like face twitched to the side in a tilt, looking back at Fyrn with it’s wide eye lights

They grabbed a bent metal pole and lodged it in the side of the trap door so they can hop down while still leaving it open for the Urzuk. They jumped, it wasnt a far fall, amd waited for the Urzuk.

We have homes similar- but not made of such concentrated minerals like this
It tapped its knuckles against the metal gently before crawling into the bunker, tucking its wings in and grunted before landing with small taps on the floor
Fyrn nodded. They threw a fallen rock up at the pole to knock it out of place and trapdoor fell back with a loud crack of metal against metal. They followed a path of worn metal steps down nto the main hallways of their home, or their hell. They will never know for sure which it is. As they walkdd deeper into the bunker their regal aura from earlier seemd to grow stronger and their footsteps more sure.
Their tail swished along the floor lazily and their hands crossed behind their back as they entered the living quarters. The second that they entered thy were greated with a lovely sight of their brother, Sarc, teaching their son, Ikari, how to make flower crowns. Their face softened and they smiled at the sight before waving and continuing on leading the Urzuk
It tottered curiously at the other two creatures that were still similar to “Jeff”. It kept its follow behind Fyrn but gave a small polite tip of their head in greeting before twitching an extra stride forward to fall back in line behind Fyrn.
Sarc and Ikari waved but Fyrn simply continued on. Their combat boots clicked against the metal of the floor as they entered a large, spacious room. There were many other people here, many being mutated, and some being fine.
It looked around at the other people curiously, keeping its wings and tail close to its body as it walked close behind Fyrn. So many interesting organisms and such variety between them too! None of these look even close like Fyrn, and they all seem to be of similar species. It can see how a lot of them don’t make them the same creatures, though. Some looked wrong, and even Fyrn themselves said they weren’t like any.
Fyrn waved at a few passing and hissed at a few who glared the wrong way at the Urzuk. Their tail slid across the ground as they walked and they opened a large metal door. Inside was a huge room with pillows and blankets everywhere, no one else was in there.

A black portal with a purple rim tore open in the sky and spewed out a grey and black Urzuk, its wings sprawled and a yelp leaving it as it thumped onto the ground.
It stood up and rubbed its face, pulling out an arrow that was stuck in one of its three hollow eyes.
It looked around in confusion and curiosity, its wings tucking in close to its body.

Fyrn glanced at the strange creature atop their gorgeous chestnut horse. Their black tail flicked with curiosity as they squeezed with their heels to trot up to the entity
It whipped it’s head around with an arm partially lifted, wrist and head twitching as it shakily moved around to face the stranger
The lights in its eyes flickered and contrasted as it eyed the strange person, ears arching back and turned upwards.
Fyrn quietly took in the creature before sliding off of their horse and holding out a hand in a show of peace
It craned its neck forward, its flat face turning to the side as it eyed the strangers hand. Tentatively, it stepped forward and sniffed it, ears flopping down and its pupils shifting back to their normal sizes.
Fyrn was happy that it was friendly and sighed in relief before backing away to see what it would do
It’s still face straightened again and it lowered its neck as it slowly walked around the person, its spear shaped tail sweeping against the ground and its head turning fully around slowly.

Autumn shuffled closer to Fyrn with a slight anxiousness but Fyrn wasn’t worried. They gave the creature a chance to hurt them already, it is likely just.. checking them out. Ough that sounds wrong.
I’m pretty sure the more intelligent creatures can speak right? I remember Rebus being able to write, along with the warden’s transcriptions. Imm just say they can speak.
It stopped in front of the person again and eyed it intently before an echoey and empty voice left the tomb like face, as if it was spoken through a hollow tube

Fyrn’s ears flicked, and turned away from the voice. It was loud, too loud for their sensitive ears.

Their voice had an air of authority to it, unlike their other dimensional counterpart. An aura of power radiates off of them from their voice despite their messy hair and dusty leather clothes.
The fin along their back flared as they tilted their head up. This one was red, like Reyn’s, but it jad none of the scars dug into the sharp yet delicate skin.
One eye glowed a white color while the other was a brown reflecting orange. This version of Reyn is likely a star-holder from appearnce, but there is no star visible anywhere near them.
It did a short, polite bow, bending an arm and ducking its head down before standing up again.

As Fyrn spoke the blackened ghosts of long dead trees shook with sharp and smokey wind and ashen snow fell
As they mentioned that the creatures that hung around started to make sense. Mutated animalz with multiple limbs or miscoloration traveled through the dead landscape as if it was normal. Cause it was for them.
How peculiar… we’ve experienced something similar… but not nearly as devastating. Darkness and corruption taking over the land, the recovery of a scholar’s research and the old conversations between the wardens. Dark dark times.
It looked around furiously with big eye lights, shifting its wings and feet a little as it turned its head almost all the way around before turning it the other way.

They reached out and curiously and gently tapped a claw against Fyrn’s hair and ears, and then their tail, then they stood up and reached out- slowly- for the horse
Fyrn hated that, with all of their maleveolant soul, but allowed it with spiked fur and tense posture.
Autumn on the other lowered her ears flat against her head in warning.
