Ship ask game: keyleth and vex 7??? Perhaps?? I think that could be fun!
Oh, heck yeah, Vexleth!
7... To shut them up.
Keyleth was spiraling. The situation wasn't even life or death -- they had all been in their fair share of those over the years, after all -- and she was clearly about to have a panic attack. Vex'ahlia knew trying to organize a surprise baby shower for Pike and Scanlan wouldn't be a simple feat, but she hardly thought it merited this much stress. "Darling, you're about to cause a miniature cyclone with all the pacing in circles you've been doing," Vex said, her tone aiming for light and teasing. "I'm sorry!" Keyleth blurted as she whipped around, her mantle billowing and causing yet more wind and leaves to whirl about them. "I just really should have considered that trying to get all of the baked goods done at the Slayer's Cake here in Whitestone would be difficult to do without Pike noticing. And Grog is great at keeping Scanlan distracted, but I'm afraid he'll slip up and say something that will ruin the surprise... " She continued on about the decorations, further working herself up into a tizzy. Vex sighed, though it was mostly out of fondness. This girl... this woman cared so much. In just a few years, Keyleth had gone from shy and insecure to the leader of her people, and one of the most powerful beings Vex had the pleasure to know. She had faced down gods and come out the other side victorious. And here she was, wringing her hands about party streamers and pastries. Exandria really didn't deserve her. "... maybe we can get some more of those enchanted party favors from Gilmores an--mmph!" Keyleth's babbling came to a halt as Vex'ahlia tugged her in by the front of her cloak and stole her words and her breath in a passionate kiss. Vex pulled back after several moments, her eyes fluttering open to see Keyleth's still closed, a somewhat dopey smile on her face. "Sorry, love. Couldn't help myself," Vex purred. Keyleth finally opened her eyes to meet Vex's gaze. "What... umm, what do you mean?" "You're quite adorable when you ramble, you know. But as cute as it is, I think you deserve a break..." She took Keyleth's hand and gently tugged as she began to walk backwards towards the castle. "And I have just the thing." She finished with her signature wink, which still had the desired effect after all these years, causing Keyleth to blush all the way to the tips of her pointed ears. The party ended up being a wild affair as far as baby showers go, but Keyleth didn't worry about a single thing for the rest of the day, which is exactly how Vex liked it.
