I first met Kadian in the Spooks fandom, where she plays an amazing OC that is easily better-written than some of the canon characters.  (That’s actually not the compliment I wish it were, given s9.)  She was the other person to help reignite my love for The Sandman, and the other person to enable me into making a blog for Morpheus’ youngest sister.  I’ve lost track of how much time we’ve spent discussing the results of merging some of our verses, with both heartbreaking angst and pure unadulterated crack resulting in equal amounts.  I’m pretty sure we’ve now made official a verse for the kids of our muses and the bullshit they get up to?  Kadian is a beautiful writer who suits her tone to her muse, with poetic prose filled to the brim with haunting imagery for Hel, cryptic melancholy for Dream, and straightfoward prose that highlights her thoughts for Julia.  At this point I’m probably going to have to buy and play the DA games just so I can play with her stupid DA muse because she is on the list of ‘follow anywhere and everywhere’.

Hamlet was standing in front of Holbein’s Portrait of Sir Thomas More. The artist had created a living likeness of this great man. If he touched the painting, Hamlet imagined, he would be able to touch the fur and run his hands down the magnificent golden chain on More’s shoulders. Gazing into the great man’s pensive eyes, he could see the great task that lay ahead of him and the many others that would pass More by as he lay in the grave – the Counter Reformation, the scientific revolution, Napoleon, two World Wars, and the Space Age. Things, he was sure, that the great man had never imagined in his wildest dreams.

He was so lost in the painting that he didn’t notice a woman nearby. Gently, he stepped aside so that she could get a better look. “I’m sorry,” he said as he did so. “A Holbein is like a fine book. Once you start, you just can’t put it down.”

I imagine them being feathered, fluffy and a little dull. They would either be completely black like his hair, or a pale grey like his eyes. 

🖋- If your muse was an author/poet, what kind of stories would they write about?

Yuri actually does write when he has the time, but it is notes for research and either related to medicine or languages. In an other world, he might publish non-fiction books about ancient languages, or guides to modern medicine, although I could also see him write about war from the point of view of civilians. Either way, he’d stick to non-fiction. 

⭐️- What’s their favorite constellation in the night sky?

Yuri doesn’t pay enough attention to the night sky to have a favorite constellation, but he does have a soft spot for northern lights. They are not an uncommon phenomena in his hometown, and so they remind him of home. 

 👒- If your muse were to take someone on a first date, where would they go and how would they behave?

Yuri finds the whole dating-thing a little strange. He doesn’t fully understand what it even is. When is something a date, and when is it just two people hanging out? In his mind it’s capitalism finding yet another way to make money off of people. Thus, if he - for whatever reason - was to go on a date, he wouldn’t make an event out of it. If the weather allowed it he’d take the other person for a walk, he’d perhaps plan a route through a somewhat private area, or maybe take them to a place he figures they’d like. Honestly, it’s hard for me to envision Yuri on a date. He’d prefer to just stay at home.
