Like Time in Inception (2010), Safe Now is also the last track for the score of Captain Phillips (2013), with similar chord and volume progression. The striking similarities between these two tracks may be that, like many other contemporary popular composers, Henry Jackman was/is a member of a group of composers that often closely work with Hans Zimmer on the same projects as additional music composers. Sometimes uch artists, when they choose to work separately, follow Zimmer’s famous chords, whether they do it knowingly or not. In this instance Zimmer was given special thanks by Jackman in end credits of the movie. [x]

Gannicus (Spartacus)

From the moment he appeared in the prequel season Gods of the Arena, I just knew that he was mine. From his cocky attitude, to his charming smile, to those precious blond locks, he was my little blond angel

Brian O’Conner (Fast and Furious)

From the impulsive reckless young cop with a chip on his shoulder, to a young man trying to decide what he stood for in life, to being in love, to being a father, to being an mature adult with a family to fight for and responsibilities he cannot shy away from - I have seen this character grow from the very first film, and with Furious 7 being released soon, we will have seen his complete story from beginning to end - if Paul Walker had not tragically passed away, perhaps this story never would have ended but no matter, what Brian has been through all this time and the growth he’s had is just incredible - yet that same fire, that passion, that desire to protect and give everything for his family, that will never change.

Alfred Pennyworth (Gotham)

Gotham to be honest has given me the definitive Alfred, the way this show has explored his story and into his past, the way this show has allowed him to grow as a character in his own right and not just a prop for Batman is simply wonderful. And Sean Pertwee fills the role with just the right amount of old school gentleman and dangerous watchdog presence - the Alfreds of old were snarky sidekicks, this Alfred can be a warrior and hero in his own right, and probably kick everyone’s butt while doing it.

Jason Morgan (General Hospital)

This man, this mob enforcer with a heart of gold, a man who kills yet is probably one of the most compassionate and nurturing characters on the soap opera, in fact, the one person in town that people count on to help save the day when things go wrong. He is so loyal, so amazing, and just the best with babies. He’s calm, he’s the voice of reason, and without him nowadays back on screen, it feels like everything is falling apart. I eagerly await the day when my fave mob enforcer is back properly on my screen.

Kol Mikaelson (Vampire Diaries/The Originals)

The most sensible of the Originals, my bat-wielding charming smirky bad boy who doesn’t give a fuck what anyone says and just does what he does because he wants to. It’s so refreshing to have a vampire who just enjoys being a vampire instead of moping around after love interests all day. Kol has far better things to do. But he is also someone who loves his family, who has felt isolated and abandoned and constantly betrayed by his family. Underneath the dark snarky demeanor is someone who yearns for acceptance to be loved by his siblings, and it’s just not fair that he keeps dying.

Phillip enjoys a relaxing drink with his friends to calm down but he also enjoys a nice quiet evening with Aurora. His favourite way to calm down is with his head in her lap and her absent-mindedly stroking his hair.
