Bleak Creek Thoughts

I was a bit hrumphy when I heard that R&L were going to be ficing themselves - explorations and extrapolations about them ages 6-22 are MY THING. Though worse - what if their book didn’t read like fanfic?

Well, it does read like fanfic - Ben fanfic.

So that’s fine.

I’ve been consuming basically all the media they’ve been putting out surrounding the book (including their live show in Boston), and in only a couple of places do they mention their collaborator, Lance Rubin, and nowhere (to my knowledge) have they talked about his contributions. I'm a big fan of transparency; plus, I sensed a third voice in the writing, and kept being thrown by it - maybe I wouldn’t have, if I’d known more about where, and where not, to expect it. I’d love-love-love an Ear Biscuit devoted to this.

Editied to remove ficcy thoughts, as they contained spoilers. But that leads me to - when IS it okay to start ficcing fiction? Seeing as any announcement of the fic would be spoilery.
