Rhoetosaurus is a sauropod of relatively indeterminate but probably more basal placement from near the Durham Downs Station, near Roma, central Queensland, Australia. It lived in the Jurassic Period, potentially the Bajocian age of the Middle Jurassic, between 170 and 168 million years ago. It is relatively well known for being a sauropod from Australia, and is on of the best known ones from Australia. It was between 12 and 15 meters long and about 4 meters tall, and is known from partial remains from multiple specimens. It may hav had a clubbed tail like Shunosaurus, it potentially close relative.
