// sea prayer //
I gave to the sea
all the tears running under my skin
it was almost unnoticeable
how i dismantled myself
and gave rebirth to my dreams
a premeditated thought
lurking on the shores
waiting to be taken up by the roaring waves.

spine in splinters by the weight of my head
every moment a new pain
every bit of tissue in some phase of rot
I practice death all day, stirring only once
high noon, dry to the bone
high moon, drier still
it’s getting near end of year, and all the good memes are dead so i decided, that despite it, I’ll make my own meme instead.

Act 05, Scene 02 - 01 - Benedick
From: Much Ado About Nothing, by William Shakespeare
Genre: Comedy
Topic: Rhyme, love
Character: Male
And therefore will come. Sings The god of love, That sits above, And knows me, and knows me, How pitiful I deserve,-- I mean in singing; but in loving, Leander the good swimmer, Troilus the first employer of panders, and a whole bookful of these quondam carpet-mangers, whose names yet run smoothly in the even road of a blank verse, why, they were never so truly turned over and over as my poor self in love. Marry, I cannot show it in rhyme; I have tried: I can find out no rhyme to 'lady' but 'baby,' an innocent rhyme; for 'scorn,' 'horn,' a hard rhyme; for, 'school,' 'fool,' a babbling rhyme; very ominous endings: no, I was not born under a rhyming planet, nor I cannot woo in festival terms. Sweet Beatrice, wouldst thou come when I called thee?

A soulless walk home Is more than you deserve; My broken toes and bruised wrists, They don’t think so. My scraped palms, From when I tripped and fell, no, They don’t think so. But with every head jerk, As I let my body move to and fro, Like a long forgotten ragdoll… I thought so. Or maybe I didn’t think at all? I wish I could know of anything, Anything at all That would kick start my nuerones, Or halt them to a stop Like the guards on the Queen’s watchtower. Make me stop, Don’t let me go Forward.
