They also knew that she had agreed to conduct a second interview in which she would name him, on camera—an interview that Oppenheim initially refused to approve. As NBC has noted, McGowan wound up calling off the interview at the last minute—but only because she sensed that the network, which had ordered us to 'pause' our reporting, was dragging its feet.
