@iilinii holy so many I's in your blog name lol. There is lavender oil here, but I am kind of, err, bothered by it, since we overdid it when trying to deter certain pests from the apartment 😑 I know it is calming for sure, I'd just need to get over my thing with it first - like I said we used a lot of it and it kind of overpowered me, so I have to ease back into using it again, lol

@flower-binches your blog name made me laugh so hard. I'd definitely feel fine messaging you that info! Just know, I don't own a garden - I'm apartment bound for now. It faces south in one, and west in the other. The west gets a lot of direct sunlight, and the south is kind of getting a bunch with it being winter and the tilt of the axis? Science? A couple of people have recommended; I look into different pieces of Witchcraft Literature. However, they have not recommended any books in particular. What are pieces of Witchcraft Literature (Books), do you recommend for Beginners?

I don’t, because I barely read books on witchcraft. I have some PDFs and stuff I mean to read through to be able to recommend books, but as of right now, my list is pretty bare. It’s mostly just spellbooks, not beginners witchcraft books, for my own personal reference when writing spells.

Ooh, except maybe [“Grovedaughter Witchery: Practical Spellcraft” by Bree NicGarran], aka the loverly @breelandwalker here on Tumblr. I have been reading that on Kindle (until my phone broke), and it is a wonderful resource for beginners. It covers lots of useful information I have not seen around in other resources before, and it is very easy to read.

Otherwise, I can give you a few lists of other people’s book recommendations. I still advise you to do some research into the books yourself, make sure they are along the lines of what you want to know. 

And your opinion is allowed to differ from those that may recommend books. I think that is important to say. Someone may love a book for x reasons, but it is okay for you to not like it for y reasons. Our paths and our opinions are all different and unique to us all. It is okay if you don’t agree with what someone has written. Just keep searching for what you can align yourself with. 

Firstly, I’d take a look at this post about [Witchcraft Authors to Avoid] (spoilers: none, and it explains why that is in that post). I would also keep in mind some signs that [your book on witchcraft may be bullshit]. Another important thing in regards to witchcraft books is [critical thinking], as well as fact checking if possible. I also suggest taking a gander at this post of [books you should consider].

It’s just like. I get it, I get wanting an answer as soon as possible, or hearing the same thing from different people, because it can help confirm or reaffirm certain concepts or whatnot. 

Like, I get it. But it just makes me feel like I’m being used for my question-answering ability, and it feels like my opinion really isn’t valued all that much if the same question is asked by the same person to so many other people too. Like, why ask *me* then?

Hi there: I was wondering if you had any tips on how to retool bath magic for showers or something of the like. Recently moved to a place without a bathtub

I have seen people put the ingredients they would use in the bath, into a sachet made of cheesecloth or even a coffee filter, and attach it so it is over the shower head, where the water comes out of. That way, the water travels through the herbs and ingredients, and becomes imbued with their properties before hitting the body. Example: [Cleansing Shower Bag]

I have also heard of people doing something similar, but they wash their body with the sachet instead of attaching it to the shower head. Example: [Ritual Herb Shower]

It is also possible to mix certain ingredients into a salt scrub that can be used to wash the body in the shower. Example: [Energy Shower Scrub]

@recreationalwitchcraft made a post about making [shower disks] that might also prove useful.

You can also make magical waters and pour them over the head during the shower. Examples: [Bath Potions] and [Pre-Shower Cleansing Spray]

Sigils can be drawn on the shower tiles (if possible) with bath crayons. Example: [Soap Crayons]

Enchanting shampoos and body washes is another way to go, and can easily be done with sigils and energy / intent.

Remember: no matter in a shower or a bath, it is very important that people with vaginas avoid using sugar in that area.
