hi yall i’m not dead i swear i’ve just been writing rick (2003) down in the format of a libretto in any downtime i’ve had over the past week and a half. i am turning that shit into a musical bc i think the social issues it covers are still relevant now more than ever, which is kinda crazy to think abt bc the film is over two decades old, and prejudice towards women and women of color in the workplace, white male privilege, and the layers of greed in a corporate world are all still so very present today. also i dearly want to turn duke’s speech towards the end into a great gatsby-esque solo number that references la donna è mobile… i am plotting. i am scheming
