Okay so you are a Harry Potter expert yes?! I got a question for you. You're not ticklish right? What happens when a not ticklish person such as yourself gets hit with the Rictusempra hex? Does it just not affect you at all or does it magically make you ticklish for a moment so that it can cause tickles? The fundamentals of magic are extremely important to me.

I actually am ticklish in some places. But this is a really interesting question!

The Rictusempra charm “is a spell that causes a victim to buckle with laughter.” This is obviously from being tickled, so what happens if someone is biologically unable to be tickled?

There’s some speculation about the use of this spell in the HP CoS film, where Harry uses it against Malfoy and all it does is knock Malfoy backwards. Is this because Malfoy isn’t ticklish? Or because Harry was so young and inexperienced he couldn’t make the spell do its proper function?

To answer the question, I think the Rictusempra charm would either have no effect or simply knock the person backwards if they were not ticklish. I imagine it as similar to trying to tickle someone with your fingers - they might feel something trying to tickle them, but won’t actually feel ticklish.

(And according to an image from the HP OotP film, there are at least 2 other effects of Rictusempra OTHER than being tickled. [Question 6 in this image] )

In order to make a non-ticklish person feel ticklish, I think you would need to use a much more advanced spell which can alter the nerves in the body to enable them to feel that sensation.
