Şanlıurfa to ormiańskie: Urhai, kurdyjskie: Riha, arabskie: Ar-Ruha, staro-greckie: Orra, Bizantyjczycy nazywali miasto Justinopolis, łacińskie: Edessa, natomiast turecka nazwa to Urfa gdzie później dodano przedrostek Şanlı oznaczającego wielki, zwycięski.

this is our home.
Flower mantises Riha
so i was listening to riha by anuv jain on youtube today, as the song has been stuck in my head for quite some time now. while i scrolled down the comment section, i came across a poem that someone had posted. reading that while riha played in the background, i cried. i had tears as my arms longed to hold someone in them and to be held by someone. i miss someone i know i can never have.
it also reminded me of a dream, i once had, where hugging this mysterious girl made me feel whole as if i'm finally home after running around so lost in the whole world searching for a place to call mine. i don't know whether i'll ever be lucky enough to feel that in real life or not, but the hope is not dead.
